I think a big factor affecting your winrate is how you dodge, especially in relation to your choice of booster. FCS targeting in this game is only broken by drastic changes in velocity, which is speed+direction. Change your speed or your direction, and the FCS is thrown off for a moment. Otherwise, it'll predict your movements and shots will land on you. Your issue is that you often quick boost in the same direction you're already moving in. The SPD's quick boost speed is very similar to its normal speed- you can check this in your AC's stat screen. Therefore, boosting in the same direction does not meaningfully change your velocity, and does not throw off the enemy's FCS. If you want to dodge things like Harris charge shots more reliably, I'd recommend working more direction changes into your dodging. Whenever you feel the urge to dodge in the direction you're moving, think twice- dodge the opposite way, and the shots will miss. Tl;dr: To dodge, you must change the direction you're moving in. Quick boost in a zig-zag manner to optimize evasion. Hope this helps.
Glad you posted the losses you suffered using double Etsujin. The losses demonstrated that the meta isn’t a crutch. It doesn’t guarantee wins. It helps, but it’s no substitute for skill.
I made a double Etsujin build on a biped tank because I wanted both Etsujins AND laser tanks nerfed. The build was called "Brass Cannon", I only have one video of it in action posted on UA-cam. Out of the countless fights, ranked and unranked, it has never lost, and only has been downed three times. Average fight is about sixteen seconds and most people can't even deal 3k damage before dying. By the way, it's also fast enough to hunt down kites and rats. If you want Moose, I'll give you the specs for the ultimate mech.

Arms, I recommend C3 Melander. Both hands should use Etsujins and both back weapons are the triple shot laser wings. For internals, you'll want the generator that gives 128 energy spec for its outrageous laser damage. FCS, I think the "balanced" one from the Institute is best, but feel free to change it out for your preferences. Thruster should be the one that gives the highest assault boost. Pulse Armor for the ultimate middle finger to anyone that had hope of even getting it to half AP. Tips for using this lard is to charge both cannons and build stagger with the Etsujins. That or just unleash wings simultaneously for instant stagger and finish up with the guns. If your opponent turns out to be good at dodging, alternate fire from the wings. I do have a video posted, about 17 minutes of raw recording of it going into ranked matches, queue times included, and has all the details there. I think they need to improve the distance of the dodges since with most legs it is more like a gentle hop. Sometimes you are better off flying up and then dropping down. Like the other user said a good tactic is to move in one direction and then dodge in the other.
The problem with Firearm Spec is that it is a very minor player in how fast you achieve tracking lock. The FCS is by far the most important aspect, by like 9 to 1. They shouldn't have done this. Firearm specialization literally should have affected how tight the angular spread is on your shots that come from the arms. Shoulder weapons should not be at all effected by firearm spec or recoil control via the arms.
I don't get it, looked like you dodged Harris shots but still got the stagger. I've had this as well same with dodging explosives but still getting stagger damage. Hopefully update in May will fix this.
The charged Harris shot does a massive amount of stagger damage, BUT it wears off quickly. I forget how much exactly but you can see both in the stats.
How is it I'm having this same occurrence twice? AC6 releases and I mained double zimmys for most of the story missions, to find out they were extremely meta. I start the game over from scratch two weeks ago, and I've since been using double Etsujin. AND IM PLAYING THE DAMN META AGAIN?! 😅
Very very good build. Not sure if you are using this as main but you could and be successful. It needs its own playstyle ngl, cover and all but can compete quite well.
Recoil control and fire arm spec are both pretty rubbish stats that do very little with recoil being slightly better aim is nearly only boosted by fcs so that’s why they run basho since it gives more AP and more melee spec since it’s a damage increase
Recoil control and firearm spec are both stats that benefit longer range kiting builds. In close range and sometimes mid range recoil control can pretty much be scrapped especially when running a melee build. It's also not much of an issue on zimm builds due to their spread and long cooldown, and firearm spec is pretty much negligable.

I didn't like the etsujin either. Great, a BVO with better range and more damage, how boring. I ended up using it and beat some dual zimmerman users in A rank, and it made me feel vindicated.

The Etusjin are very good. Tons of lightweights are using them. I believe they will be nerfed in May.

Recoil control actually matters. Test recoil with Basho and then mind arms on Ludlow and you ll see the difference.
