There is no in between. There will not be smuggling here actual cargo needs to be done by navel ships and no drones that don't exist yet, and cargo drone will not be a thing.
@@Kamome163 wow I don't think I would be able to do all this in blender. All this just looks so much more complex than just using blender. Did you really just use blender?

@@roccaraso1771 That’s a very good idea. I think these can be developed into a family of drones with different functions. I seem to remember reading somewhere that the C-130 Hercules was originally designed to move the equivalent of a railroad boxcar and has a hold of about 41x10x9 feet. I wonder how an oceangoing drone with a hold that big would do in long range (covert) resupply. The 5 ton payload drone described here sounds a lot like an autonomous ocean going 5 ton truck.
History repeating it self. in ww2 Japan had to resupply bases scattered throughout the pacific. US called them the Tokyo Express, didn't workout too well
The US Navy had a powerful surface fleet and a large submarine force. That's why they were able to sink all of those transport ships. The PLA is going to have a tough time tracking a bunch of these from beyond the second island chains and are going to have an even tougher time getting submarines close enough to interdict. They do have IRBMs but each one would be far more expensive than one of these, so it's not going to be worth it to target them.

Your artery/vein analogy is a bit flawed. Veins carry deoxygenated blood back to the heart NOT blood to the final destination. A better analogy would be “veins” are the ships returning empty containers, broken /damaged equipment, and wounded back from the forward lines to the US for processing / healing / repair / remanufacturing. The focus on war materiel is always on getting it TO the front lines and it’s seldom mentioned how empty ships, empty ammo/fuel cans, damaged equipment, and the wounded / killed are cycled back home which is nearly as important as the trip TO the front, just as a human will die if deoxygenated blood isn’t cycled back through the heart and lungs for refresh. Anyway, other than that this was an excellent video. Keep up the good work!
@@kylezdancewicz7346 It would be arteries then arterioles (not veins) then capillaries, then destination then capillaries and then veins on the way back
@@jebewok8118 which is why I didn’t say veins and the comment doesn’t say veins. And for the analogy skipping arterioles would make it remain at 2 things and make it understandable by a broader audience.

1st time watching your videos, bro. I think you did a great job. Will definitely watch more. I liked your animation style . Have you heard of the USA mantus?
Can you imagine one of these cozying up to an enemy ship or carrier, for an automatic latch door to silently slide open, a drone (or small swarm) automatically flies out, magnetically latches on to the side of the hull, and then a precise and powerful shape charge brings the whole motha down?
Wolfpack tactics with independent small nuclear submarines was an idea that as soon it came to me it sounded terrifying. Imagine multiple small unmanned submarines working 24/7 only coming up to re-stock on munitions.
My understanding of current maritime law is that autonomous vessels are considered to be navigational hazards and can be destroyed by any navy or Coast guard without it being considered an act of war.

The narcos need to spend a bit more money and build more sophisticated subs. Ones that are entirely automated with zero crew, AI pilots, and boats with balast tanks that can make them fully submersible, with a snrokle, a few cameras and a starlink antenna poking above the water. To give them longer range, they can tow 50KW of floating solar panels.
Given how hard to detect subs are already and these subs tight form factor, it's scary to think how far inland of a country's rivers these might penetrate, say at night, with a new moon,
Rumsfeld wanted to build these back in the 1990s. They were called “arsenal ships,” and were supposed to have 1000x VLS. There are lots of reasons this is a terrible idea, and none of those reasons have changed.
What about Mines? If I were to prevent Taiwan from being re-supplied by the water, a flood of drone ships might be too many for missile attacks, but maybe the entire ocean could be denied via mines... Mines would be cheaper than done boats, and could even be installed by drone boats.
These drones have very shallow draft, and laying mines 1-2 m below surface is not too practical: those are more vulnerable to weather and unintentional explosions. Also these drones are waaay smaller than conventional ships - meaning even when traveling in a straight line they have a considerably lower chance of setting off a mine, so you'd have to lay mines more densely which would increase the risk of a single mine exploding setting off an entire bunch. You could make smaller mines with lighter charges but those would likely be even more vulnerable to weather and make demining after the war an absolute hell.
