    Glad you handled the situation like you did, and that you are smart enough to understand it for what it was ,and not let it ruin your whole day ! Brother , I wish we had known about your windshield situation when you were in Waveland , Miss. ! As an old rock hound , I have all kinds of polish and pads I would've hooked you up with ! Just one word of caution , Too high of RPM when polishing will melt , and smear your glass . 1725 RPM is recommended for polish . Your side grinder probably turns 7000 or so !

      Craig! Sounds like you have the polishing situation dialed in, brother. All I have at this point is the drill speed. I’m using turtle wax and pumice with the wheels in the video.

    Like the Way you handled situation at Landfill. Smile and tell him he is better than that. It could have gone sideways fast. Glad you are doing ok. Met you last Fall across from Cedar Pocket Az.

      Wow, David! Cedar pocket. I think I remember meeting you there. Yep, pushing back on second class behavior is always the best policy.
      If I don’t help guide younger generations, I am just as culpable.👍🏼👊

    May be wrong but I think 0000 steel wool and comet lightly polished into the glass Depending local prices $5. to $10 bucks + elbow grease will improve appearance of windshield.

    Jamie, you might try putting some clear fingernail polish in the scratch and then polishing it. Will it add any strength? No. Might it get it past the inspector? Maybe. I agree that a scratch in the windshield is being pretty petty. Good luck on the rest of the stuff.

      @enigmaticnomadics  Рік тому

      Thanks man. Otherwise, the rest is a matter of swapping parts. Nothing to get too bent out of shape over. Good to see you in the comments buddy!

    Union guy at the dump? management's options are limited if so.

  • @Blackopsmechanic338
    @Blackopsmechanic338 Рік тому +2

    Have you tried 0000 steel wool. If you can feel the scratch with your finger nail it may be too deep. Try some two part clear epoxy. Just use like a tooth pick. Let it cure until Sunday night. Then use a new razor blade and go over the scratch flat lightly just to get around the scratch the residue off. ???? That may be enough to hide it???? Peace Brother. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

    • @enigmaticnomadics
      @enigmaticnomadics  Рік тому +1

      I think I have that steel wool. The scratch might be too shallow at this point for epoxy. I appreciate the advice.

    Without being there to see first hand what you got going on , I'm hesitant to start making suggestions . I will say two things that hopefully will help . First , to keep cost inline , a dremel tool , with their wool polishing pads work great on glass . Second , do a little online search about polishing stones , such as Opal . That will let you know the types of polishes that will work .Then google hobby shops in your area that sell rock tumbler supplies . Hope that helps .

    That guy might be harassing the regular people who come to dump so that they will never come back. Less work for him. Looks like you made that a little harder for him to do that.

    • @enigmaticnomadics
      @enigmaticnomadics  Рік тому

      I hope so Alejo. He’s got to understand that his job is to help folks up on that trash pile. I imagine he’s supporting a family with his earnings.
      That behavior is a reflection on him and his division manager for not having team meetings and proper training. He’s officially become a liability to his boss and the county.

    Hey brother sorry you're having a bad day. I had a pickup truck and I had one of those utility boxes in there and I had padlocks on either side and the same padlock was the lock for my gate on my house and I used to keep the keys on a hook inside the house well I broke down twice and the key for the box on the back was at the house because I forgot to take it with me so I finally went ahead and made an extra set and I put it in my glove box on the key fob with Velcro so when I dropped the club box it was Velcro to the inside of the lid so I always had the key with me just a suggestion. Well I got good news on the cancer they did all the body scans and the brain scans and the only place the cancer is is in the tumor that's under my arm I started treatment this past Thursday I'm doing what they call infusion every 21 days I go in and get it and as soon as they get the tumor shrunk down enough for the surgeon to go in and take it out I hope to be cancer free I'm looking at probably six months to a year of treatments and surgery but at least it's all in one spot it has not spread that made my life and my day. So far no side effects except for being really tired and they said that it's probably one of the side effects that would hit me the most but none of the vomiting or the diarrhea or any other stuff that you get with cancer treatments I am not on chemo sorry this reply was long but keep me in your prayers and spread the word that chef Santa is alive and breathing God bless stay safe stay strong stay healthy and enjoy life✌💪💖🎅🚌🌻👍

    I’ve had my share of run ins at the landfill, if they show disrespect ( and they do!) go get your supervisor, and we’ll talk about it. But this shit is coming off the back of this trailer right here… you can push it wherever you like

      😎🙁💭 oh Jamie sorry I didn’t get to you a little sooner. I’ve been pretty busy myself today. Looks like you got your hands full buddy, and yeah, there’s no reason to take crap from somebody just because you’re there to dump your garbage. If he doesn’t like dealing with people, he should find some other place to work or he doesn’t have to just wanted to pop in and say hi hope everything comes together for you later man✌️

    • @enigmaticnomadics

      Having thick skin has its place. Passively allowing a grown man, on the clock, half my age, tell me he’ll Eff Me Up because he can’t control his emotions, is something altogether different. Remember, guys are killed in New York City and in level 3 general population, for far less.
      Respect and decorum.
