    To people saying “well he still did it.” It’s his job. Just like any other. There’s probably plenty of times you didn’t want to do something at your job, but did it anyway. I’ve never really heard Shamrock speak, but definitely got respect for the man he’s got principles.

      Also I'd hope that most people would understand that him doing what he's paid to do - That is, play a character in a full contact stage play - doesn't invalidate the lessons he taught his kids. Maybe I'm crazy, but I really don't think Godfather was an actual pimp outside the ring, if you get me.

    Owen refused to a love triangle angle on TV between himself, Double J and Debra. He refused because he had values and didn't want Martha or his kids to get hurt. Did Vince Mcmahon care about that? He punished Owen by putting him back as the Blue Blazer. Vince only thought of Martha once Owen had died since he was gonna a give a chunk of his money to her. • @adamrobinson6951
      @adamrobinson6951 2 місяці тому

      Indeed. I hate the nonsensical culture around it being morally reprehensible to hit a woman.
      Literally any time it's acceptable to hit a man, it's equally acceptable to hit a woman. If you've agreed to train together, it's fine. If you're defending yourself or others, it's fine.
      If you're trying to throw your weight around to establish might is right, it isn't fine. If you're unhappy with something they said or did and decide to punish them, it isn't fine. If you have rage issues, want something they have or want to take their autonomy it isn't fine.
      Even where violence is justified, you should exercise control to minimise harm where possible. Ergo, you probably can throw a full punch at a bigger opponent while you should restrain yourself somewhat if doing so is likely to cause disproportionate harm to a smaller or weaker opponent. Whether that's a smaller man or a smaller woman is irrelevant.
      Gender has nothing to do with this.

    Ken has always been a polarizing figure. I always liked him and was on his side in the Tito fued. But i get it if someone is a Tito fan - Tito was great back then. But Ken's contibution to combat sports is way greater. At one time, Ken was the best in the world; that guy was like a piece of steel.

    I remember when Shamrock dropped to his knees in the middle of the ring and dared the Rock to hit him right across his actual face with a steel chair. The Rock gave a look like is this dude insane? Shrugged his shoulders and hit him with the only shot ever straight to the face with a steel chair. Knocked Ken out instantly, and he had a concussion. Vince was pissed about it. Vince was in court right before this over wrestlers getting ptsd and permanent brain damage for taking chair shots to the head.
