That is such an easy way to remember when to use "ni" with time expressions! I've never heard that before. If an English time-expression needs a preposition, then the Japanese time-expression needs "ni". Other Japanese time-expressions don't need a particle - so simple! ありがとうございました
優子先生、おかげで日本語をよく学びます。教えてくれてありがとうございます。
I didn't know that, great lesson!

ありがとう🎉🎉🎉
Wow.. ty
But just to be precise, you can often find weekdays without the ni particle. Also, seasons and the words for morning and afternoon (午前 gozen and 午後 gogo) can be used with or without ni.
On the other hand you can (rarely) find ashita with ni, in expressions like "ashita ni demo" and "ashita ni wa". So when you hear it, don't think it's a mistake

Hi Yuko Sensei, v r planning to go for a tour to Japan next year. Was wondering would u consider teaching a topic for basic conversation of tourist in Japan? Such as asking for direction to a destination etc. Kindly advise. Many thanks 🙏
