It might just be me but I feel like your disregarding the tarnished’s true power. At his full potential he has access to every weapon. Every build and every tactic. Same as all the other dark souls protagonists. I really think it would be a rlly close fight between each of them. Since to me it rlly comes down to what they bring into the fight or are equipped with. And I’ll admit that I’ve only played elden ring and blood borne. So maybe some of it is Elden ring bias but idk. And if I’m being honest tarnished can jump lmao. He auto beats all of them.
How exactly does he no diff. Cause to me all the protagonists are kind of the same. They all seem to be litteraly immortal or unable to die and they each have godlike nukes or weapons of mass destruction. So it rlly depends on what they use and what they bring into the fight. If the ashen one has better weapons then maybe he drives him off but then again it’s an eternal battle. No one wins in the end as long as they respawn. And on top of that. Tarnished can change builds in a second and come back with new tactic each time. And I’m pretty sure he has a more dedicated set of magic spells than the other souls games.
@@Spartn-lgt I agree that the tarnished has the potential to defeat the other protagonist's, especially gameplay wise, however, I was referring to the lore rather than gameplay, where the tarnished still stands a decent chance, but against characters like the Hunter and the Ashen One, tarnished stands no chance, in lore obviously. The only problem is that the chosen undead literally killed like 3 gods. Just because they're good with weapons doesn't mean they're going to destroy the competition. Though these gods are past their prime, they are still very strong. I wouldn't say nito is past his prime, and he is the literal God of death.
@@DracoRiftI think it has to do with the next thing Most protagonists fight weaker versions of the bosses (except Gael, Isshin, Malenia, etc) but the hunter quickly scaled to defeat several gods, able to curse people and create whole upper planes, finally becoming one of them to transcend the hunt
If we go off lore then first the flame is the opposite of the frenzied flame because the flame in dark souls represents life death and darkness and light while the frenzied flame represents just chaos like the abyss. but the first flame created the abyss. And the most important thing is we only know how powerful the ashen one is before they consume the flame. And know to the real KILLER. The ashen one didn’t just kill the lord of cinder he killed everyone before too! because whoever gets the flame has the power of all who used to have it! that includes gwen the lord of cinder. And the ashen one was able ago beat THAT and became the new soul of cinder so that makes him insanely powerful. But if you think farther that means the new soul of cinder probably has the power of every player who beat the game. Because other players you summon are in lore from the past and future. So all in all the ashen one is fudging crack there’s a difference between killing Demi god and actual gods.
The hunter defeated the moon presence. A cosmic being. Ruler of the Cosmos. Or even the multiverse. The moon presence has reality control over reality and has knowledge incomprehensible to even the smartest of beings. The hunter has better strength, durability, and speed feats. The tarnished doesn't stand a chance. The elden beast may be galactic at most but doesn't match to the moon presence.

As a Completonist of all Soulsbournes Dd1,Ds2,Ds3,Sekiro,elden ring, and some of bloodbourne. Tarnished gets wiped by the slayer of demons, the cursed one, and the ashen one, the chosen undead and tarnished are practically the same strength....
Yea tarnished takes the W. In the other games you have similar feats, but nowhere near as many and as versatile. In Elden your slapping gods around from lvl 20, in the souls franchise they were endgame enemies.
no youre not lmao. the first god you fight is godrick and hes known for being a coward and the weakest. thats hardly a feat. rennala is broken and radahn is a weakened form of himself.
@@wyvernslayer4530 ok you wanna argue let’s start and end the debate in an instant Tarnished killed maliketh… and did it first try… Maliketh, a being literally INFUSED with the rune of death, virtually becoming a god (a god killer) And you kill him first try, because canonically, grace does revive you, but NOT from destined death. The lore implies that the tarnished walks up to keeper of death, kills him, steals death, and refuses to elaborate.
@@master_ninja_gear4574Alright, lets argue. The chosen undead killed the embodiment of death Nito, who is also canonically a god, killed seath - another god. Destroyed the bed of chaos, hereby weakening the flame of chaos, killed the four kings of new londo in the abyss, travelled back in time to slay the creator of the abyss, slew a dragon that even the gods fear, murdered gwindolin and Priscilla - 2 godesses, destroyed gwyn and used his soul to extend the life of his world and had the power to grow himself without any need of a maiden. I think the chosen undead is canonically stronger. The tarnished only killed one god - the final boss. The others were demigods, whereas almost all enemies on the roaf of the chosen undead were gods.
@@vinnie3142 All of the Lord Soul Manifestations are not Gods, they are Primordial beings. WAY above Gods. Gods are either concepts or people who have been deified across the ages, like Artorias. I’d have to disagree on the ashen one for the reason that they beat the Soul of Cinder, the complete amalgamation of EVERY lord who has ever linked the flame. A combination of knowledge, skills, methods, strategies, and abilities from thousands of years of everyone who linked the flame
With all the new players Elden Ring brought in, it shouldn’t be surprising how many of them would make UA-cam content talking about other Soulsborne games while knowing nothing about them and knowing next to nothing about Elden Ring.

Dark souls is basically a human killing gods and champions while tarnish is basically using power to kill gods, and champions. Tarnish is definitely stronger but dark souls protagonist’s definitely went through more shit
Ashen One literally killed the most powerful beings in all Dark Souls lore, especially Soul of Cinder, who is "A DIVINE embodiment of all the warriors who have lit the First Flame.". Whole millenias of warriors, including Gwyn, all into one and a single warrior still managed to win. Not only that, he absorbed the most powerful artifact of the whole DK's verse a.k.a The First Flame, allowing him to bend the world at his will. Ashen One vs. Tarnished is a fight I always wanted to see, but the more I think about it, the less I can figure out who wins. But I bet on Ashen One, since Dark Souls 3 is a much more difficult game than Elden Ring.
As a Souls Vet who's big into the lore of both Souls and Elden Ring...yeah, that's about right. Elden Ring is just a generally higher plane than Dark Souls. Dont get me wrong the Chosen Undead, Bearer, and Ashen One would all give the Tarnished an absolute nightmare of a time...but eventually they can Hollow. The Tarnished won't. Ever. Unless the Greater Will yoinks away their Grace they literally are just functionally immortal with no catch.
@@EZW_Riptide Depends which ending you get, in the case the Bearer gets all the crowns they are functionally a true immortal. The problem then becomes feats. The Tarnished basically slew an entire pantheon while the Bearer only beat shards of what the Chosen Undead faced. The diminished Lord Souls and a fragment of Manus. The Chosen Undead's feats are themselves paltry in comparison to the Tarnished. If the Chosen fought Gwyn at his peak he might scale more favorably but we know that isn't the case. It's just a matter of scale. The Lord Souls are all very powerful beings but they're not really creator gods aka outer gods or avatars of a fundamental forces like the Tarnished has faced. The Tarnished killed an entire pantheon of Demi-Gods and heroes on a similar level (Godrick, Margit, Rennala, Radahn, Morgott, Malenia, Godfrey), a fully realized Goddess of the concept of Rot/Decay which is what Malenia ascends to in her second phase, fought and killed an Ancient Dragon God in an area where time doesn't exist so movement shoukd be impossible, killed the avatar/bearer of the concept and power of Death in Maliketh, unbound and claimed the Rune of Death, Radagon the vessel of the Elden Beast which is the avatar of the Greater Will (The Outer God of Order). While the Dark Souls Characters are insanely powerful the Soulsverse is really just a lower power scale. You defeat powerful heroes and beings powerful enough to be considered "gods" but you never destroy or claim power over an entire concept of reality. Nor a Creator God. Hope that helps convey my reasoning a bit.

@@Spartn-lgtwhats he gonna do climb up a cliff and throw itty bitty firebombs ashen one will call midir up and nuke him Plus ashen one no diffs

Tarnished killed maliketh… and did it first try…
Maliketh, a being literally INFUSED with the rune of death, virtually becoming a god (a god killer)
And you kill him first try, because canonically, grace does revive you, but NOT from destined death.
The lore implies that the tarnished walks up to keeper of death, kills him, steals death, and refuses to elaborate.
@master_ninja_gear4574 okay? The chosen undead killed nito.

All of the Lord Soul Manifestations are not Gods, they are Primordial beings. WAY above Gods.

Lol tarnished just made it look easy because the tarnished is more versatile than the ashen one.
@@theunknown7441 So what? Ashen is still better in any other way.

when elden ring is your first because it is the easiest
As a Souls Vet who's big into the lore of both Souls and Elden Ring...yeah, that's about right. Elden Ring is just a generally higher plane than Dark Souls. Dont get me wrong the Chosen Undead, Bearer, and Ashen One would all give the Tarnished an absolute nightmare of a time...but eventually they can Hollow. The Tarnished won't. Ever. Unless the Greater Will yoinks away their Grace they literally are just functionally immortal with no catch.
But didn’t botc. Cured? And he’s true immortal
