- View of an Air Jamaica plane from the waving gallery of the Norman Manley. Air Jamaica was an incredible airline!! Missed are the wonderful authentic Jamaican cuisine and Island-style service. Let's hope someone is able to bring back AJ........The Love Bird!!
That waving gallery brought back so much fond memories for me.
Hurts me so much , every time I watch any blogs or videos of our then national airline. How great we were once, compared to now. SMH.
Please god bring back Air Jamaica please 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🇯🇲
I share the same wish as you 👍
It wouldn’t be possible unless Caribbean Airlines sells the routes back to the Jamaican government, and there are enough investors to re-create the airline. Remember, Air Jamaica only had two profitable years in its forty-something years of operations.🤷🏽♂️
@@chrisper7527 you are right my friend
it will take good fellow citizens who forms the Government who will put the affairs of Jamaicans first for that to happen.all what we been witness to is the selling out of brand Jamaica.
What we think about comes about. One love Respect🖤💚💛 Together, we can bring back our love birds.
Nothing like the spirit of the 14 parishes air Jamaica 🇯🇲😭😭☝️🌎🙏🏽 Fr Marcia
Thank you so much great memories . I can remember my second time flying in on Airbus A300 with Air Jamaica 🇯🇲 I was 9 years old. Can’t thank you enough one love ❤️🖤💚
You are welcome. It was a great airline. I especially enjoyed the cuisine. Their safety record was impeccable.
The Good old days of Air Jamaica.
PLEASE BRING BACK AIR JAMAICA PLANES.
I first flew Air Jamaica on January 20, 1973. 2 months before my 8th birthday. My brothers and I were relocating to NY to be with our parents. The plane we traveled on was the legendary 4 engine 707. It was fantastic. 😊🎉
Thanks for sharing
I remember that waving gallery back in the 70s
Look at the flower garden between the waiting lounge and the Tarmac 😥 my BOSS office was a trailer right below the waving gallery...my first REAL job after High school....
I think it was there in the 2000s too. I can remember my grandmother went up the Sunday and the Tuesday the twin tower was attacked
Who remembers standing on the waving gallery dressed in your Sunday best, and seeing the Air Jamaica flight that your relative was on, finally coming in to view. Then you wait for the doors to open, looking for your relative to come to the door and walk down the plane steps, then rushing downstairs to the departure area to see your relative as they walk out to greet you.
Same thing when they’re leaving. You would stand on the waving gallery, watch them walk up the stairs and go into the plane. They come to the door several times to wave a final goodbye. Then the hummingbird is off, leaving tears on the waving gallery.
Such great memories!!!!
I remember when the concord land in Jamaica I was still primary school they was talking about it on the radio and tv 📺
Glad I was apart of your history ❤.
It was really wonderful!!!
Red Bank, NJ. 07701 Blessed Love to the Love Bird 🕊️🐦 Bless up yard Love 👍😍 Happy 🙏🤩🥰♥️ Bless 🌹🕊️🥂🍉🥑🍎🍈🥝🫒🫐 Love 👍 you
The Air line that SANDALS came out of on the BACKS of all JAMAICANS.
This Air Jamaica is before Bush Stuward too it over. Young people today never heard of Air Jamaica and no body today remember that the Norman Manley airport was once a royal naval air station HMS BUZZARD during WW2 that use to base Sword fish squadrons that did anti -sumaremine patrol.
Cool information thanks. 👍🏾
Didn't know that 👍🏿😵💫😵🫨😖

I do!
Romeo do you remember the chewing gum selling man on the waving gallery???
@@gervanmyers3066 no that was decades ago
@@gervanmyers3066 I certainly do! Lol.... And the lil sbnack bar
@@romeojames89I thought the video said Concorde landed there in December of 1986.....
Air Jamaica had 2 DC 8 Planes that used to go to Toronto & New York . Those were replaced by the A300 s late 82- early 83 .
Bring back our beloved Love Bird❤❤
That was the best airline..The food was the best!😢
Bring back our national air lines best Record flighting ✈️
That was Jamaica
I travelled with Air jamaica in the nineties and enjoy every bit of it. The meals was fantastic and enjoyable. British Airways meals are disgusting and as for their breakfast which is cold and awful. Please bring back Air jamaica 🇯🇲 ❤.
I live in jamaica st.thomas
good night i think it's about time Jamaica should have a chance to get back what we lost without our air planes Jamaica is nutting and we want to have some things there's so many questions to ask but who is there to stand up and be a man one ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Yes I agree
Reason why a airJamaica went under because of the corrupt government she was a beautiful aircraft, although I didn’t fly with her , itwas great to see her safety records.
The big carriers , intl politics and corruption squeeze most national carriers out of business, Caribbean Airlines on its last legs RIP Air Jamaica "The part of Jamaica that flew" i was lucky to have made a couple of flights on this air line top notch service except mostly late
Well said. We were lucky indeed!
Same here Sunday January 24TH 1988 to Florida and 2001 from Kingston to Montego Bay for "Shorty" Malcolm's(Reggae Boy) Funeral.
Jamaica to the world
Is that a C 919
RIZE JAMAICA
No. Air Jamaica mainly used B 727, DC-8 and DC-9 planes.
@@indextreknet7205 thats a thing of the past
It should never have been sold.
So true!!
A butch stwart mash up air jamaica
Oh man 🤦🏾♂️…would luv for them to re-energize our airline once more for goodness sakes so we can be the best we were always is no doubt…looking at this beautiful (Love Bird) just makes u reminisce but I know it won’t happen now because our bull 💩a$$ government ain’t worth 💩so we can keep dreaming…yeah I said it but it was nice while it lasted though 😁
The PNP looted Air Ja in everyway.
LOL .....you think so?
@@indextreknet7205 i know so.
