As someone in their mid-40s, I enjoyed Happy Place. I can definitely understand the trials and tribulations they went through in that book.
I was SO surprised to see you rank Emily Henry the EXACT same way I rank them! I actually haven't read Funny Story yet, so it was interesting to see where you placed it. Happy Place was also my most favorite Emily Henry of all time as well! I really need to rewatch some of your videos and follow your romance recs more often. 🤣
Beach read is my favorite. It came in my life at just the right time. But all her books are very good.

I like what you said about friendships. I have been struggling with this lately b/c I realized I needed a personal transformation and the first thing that seemed not to work were some of my friendships. It was weird. One day I liked a person; the next day I'd think, 'Man, they never want to grow up. Their behaviour is still as if they were 20. It's not what I want." And people get mad when you tell them you want to break up!!! Even in friendship people resist a change b/c it's interpreted as if you're criticizing them. That might not be the case; you might just want to go in a different direction. I found myself alone and even though I wanted it, I did find it was difficult to find new friends who resonated with me; people who made me better. I just ordered my first Emily Henry book, so I just wanted to watch a few videos. I ordered BOOK LOVERS, but I might read HAPPY PLACE next. Maybe Ms Henry has a better idea of how friendships work.P.S.- I don't know if this is allowed but i was so mad at this review. I feel like she totally has no idea how hard it is to write a POP BOOK. Just finished Funny Story this morning so prefect timing! I think my ranking is very similar but Beach Read might still be my number 1.

Beach Read, Book Lovers, Funny Story, People We Meet On Vacation, Happy Place. Yeah… I am also in my thirties and I could not with the drama in Happy Place.
What a great video! Emily Henry is probably my favorite romance author. Here is my ranking:
1. Funny Story-5 stars (might be due to recency bias 🤣)
2. Book Lovers-5 stars
3. Beach Read-5 stars
4. Happy Place-4.5 stars
5. People We Meet on Vacation-4.5 stars

PWMOV is actually my #1 favorite Emily Henry book! I know that’s an unpopular opinion, but it was the first contemporary romance book I ever read when I was getting back into reading and it stuck with me. Funny Story is my 2nd favorite, followed by Beach Read and then Book Lovers. I still need to read Happy Place!
I agree I loved that book. I loved all the traveling!
It’s also my No. 1 so far. But I haven’t read Happy Place ans Funny Story yet.

Just finished Happy Place yesterday and that one was my first five stars of hers then Funny Story and then Beach Read. I still have to read Book Lovers and People We Meet On Vacation.
Beach Read was my favorite. Followed by Book Lovers, then Happy Place.😊
I have a three way tie between Book Lovers/ The People We Meet/ and Happy Place with the slight edge going to Book Lovers.❤

I still have to read Funny Story. Just got it from the library so will be reading soon. My current favorite is also Happy Place. My least favorite is Book Lovers.
