Hi there Freddy, a great unboxing of the Holiday Buggy. So great that the body is already coloured, but even better is the driver head being pre-painted. Enjoy the building of this iconic RC 😊
Agreed! It was a surprise to see the driver head already painted when you still have to paint the body itself. Pretty cool though. Thanks for checking it out John!
Great unboxing of another cool Tamiya classic Freddy👍 I actually bought one back when it was rereleased but I sold it on. Maybe I will get one again some time in the future.🙂
Cool unboxing Freddy. Open gear box in off-road cars is the best way to guarantee the customer buys spate parts🤣. Good they changed it. I like the painted driver, now I'm thinking of buying this spare part.
lol!! - Good one Dirk...so true! I'm just so surprised it was a thing for an off road car. On road...I can sort of see it...but off road..you definitely need that gear box covered!!
@@FastFreddyRC I mean, they make high-end model kits. But the RC drivers are made as if the task is: yeah, a driver, but not to many efforts for it. No sharp edges, except where the molding pans got togehter. The plasic is thick, okay that makes it durable. And speaking of plastic, they use the same as for the bodies, not the good stuff from the display model section. And don't care if the colour don't stick so well on that. And all the same over 40 years🤔. The new driver figures are cool, seperate parts (face and helmet), better material and a sharp molding. But they're hughe and comical.😒. Yes, I try to get the painted one, if it fits into my next vintage kit,. But I fear as a spare part they're only unpainted available.
Awesome unboxing Fred! This was my first Tamiya model I ever built gifted to me by the Ever amazing Rc Elf! What a fun build and car it turned out to be! I went with the torque tuned 540 right away and it’s plenty. The stock shocks are a little bouncy so I purchased some cheap oil filled rc4wd shocks which work great! I know you’ll have a blast with this! Hopefully some videos to come!👍🏻👊🏼😋
Thank you! No way...that's awesome!! How cool as a first build and how cool for it to have been from the RC Elf!! I'm really looking forward to building this and yes...there will be videos and some running videos too! Thanks for stopping by!
Oh cool! Red's my favourite colour so that would be cool to see. But I would agree with you. It's weird...you'd think when Tamiya offers a beginner buggy there would be some consistencies. Grasshopper..stickers pre-cut, MadBull they are not, but shocks, steering rack wheels and tires already put together, but body not painted. Holiday Buggy...body pre-moulded/painted in blue but shocks not pre-built..lol - The beginner models are all over the place!!
Neat history and nice unboxing.
Thank you! And thanks for checking it out!
Nice vid, cool history lesson too. Unbox was neat.
Thanks Thomas!

Very cool!! Thanks! Looking forward to building this for sure!

Thanks Peter!! Really looking forward to building this! Maybe you should!! :)
You’ll love the holiday buggy
Thanks Thad! I think I agree with you :)

Mine is the Limited Red version 🙂 the moulded body does look painted. It's funny the shocks are not built like the Madbull.
