I have lived in both and we're really liking Dundas, Hamilton for raising our child. Toronto felt too chaotic and busy to me with the pandemic so we moved and have found it more affordable too! 😊

We plan to relocate to Canada next year and I suppose the most suitable place for the beginning is Hamilton, because of rent prices and (I think) there are more job opportunities according to Torronto
That's awesome! Rent will for sure be more expensive in Toronto and with regards to the Jobs there is lots of jobs at various skill levels in both cities.
How is Hamilton to stay in a 1Bed rental apartment and travelling 3 times a week via car to Mississauga for work?
I personally like greenery and away from the hussel bussel of city.
You can find many 1 bed rentals close to green space and local shops here. Communiting to work would varry. I have some clients that don't mind driving others prefer to talk the go train into downtown Toronto and I have other clients who want to live closer to Toronto to cut down the commute. I would budget between an hour and hour and half going one way depending on the traffic and location in Toronto you are driving to.

What about the weather? Is Hamilton milder or colder than Toronto?
Overall the weather is pretty similar in both as they as close to each other and benefit from the lake effect that Lake ontario gives them. If your interested in learning more about the exact weather i have a video on my channel going over the Weather year around for Burlington which is the city right beside Hamilton and experiences the same weather both Toronto and Hamilton.
