These are fun to turn. It's interesting to see the different techniques turners use to get to the final form. Nice piece of Elm, beautiful spalting.

It's funny how you find small things in these videos. When I saw you cut the bulk off with the hand saw I thought "What a great idea!" I also thought that maybe putting a tenon on that end would have been a good idea so you could use that scrap as another blank later.
