How the discrepancy?
How will the buyer(s) ever get their money back? This horse won $31,000 on the track. He was a low to maybe mid-level allowance horse, not a stakes winner. His best time was 1:55. Decent. He’s pretty with a lot of action but not a lot of speed and will sire the same. Are they looking to raise show horses, not race horses? At a racing auction, foals by a $31K winner will bring about $2,500. I’ve seen stallions who won over a million on the track standing for a thousand bucks. How does this horse ever pay for himself?
They have a plan. I believe they had a full book before he left the auction grounds.
@@sugarbushequinemarketing I found your FB page and read they’d booked 400 mares at $4,000 per. Amazing. Can’t figure out why but I don’t work in that horse industry so more power to them!
The breeders aren’t concerned about track performance. This stallion will be added to their breeding programs for Amish bred horses.
