    I love you man! I have an assistant that literally assists me with whatever wild project I have at any given moment. I have an Airbnb tiny house in my yard which I built. There's always something to do in regards to woodworking, upkeep, sewing, etc. etc. The carpet cleaner is an absolute must. I bought it used for $12 at a Goodwill. My assistant said it wasn't a good buy because it didn't work at all. But! Thanks to you, she and I got in there and fixed it per your amazing instructions. I think we'd just hand wash the carpet tonight with out it... but that would have been no fun. Thanks for lightening my load! Btw, I'm a 60+ woman and yes, of course I can do most things a man can. :-) And now, add repair carpet cleaner to my repertoire. Thanks!

      I'm not sure of your assistants age, but the experience ay have helped her to realize she can do more than she thinks too. Glad it worked for you and you both have more experience then most at this now....Thanks for the post.... I really do appreciate it when people let me know if it helped them out or not, if they found a different issue or have questions they need help with....... Thanks again...

    Good, informative video. Preventative maintenance is the key to longevity, empy tanks when done using, run some clean water thru the system to wash out the cleaning
    solution, keep spraying so that the pump can empty out all of the
    solution hoses. If you have hard water use some washing soda in the
    water. (Hard water contains calcium and magnesium ions. The carbonate
    ions from washing soda produce a chemical reaction and removes the
    calcium and magnesium from the water).

    Thanks VERY much ... got mine going again.
    I've had mine for over 15 years and, sure, stuff needs maintained like anything does but it's still going strong.

Wish more people left comments letting me know it helped. Woman can do anything!!! Well anything I do can be done by a woman, and most kids. Most things just take patience and a willing to follow instructions... Hopefully this leads to more at home fixes and more $ in your pocket....

    Great step by step video. Thank you! The only thing I couldn't figure out was how to get the 2hoses off. Metal clips were on there good. I threaded a piece of wire through to make sure it wasn't blocked.

    I have a Bissell model 25A3 and these directions worked for me. The heater core had a few areas of a white sludgy substance and this was also in one of the water inlets. The obstruction didn't seem like it would have been enough to stop the flow, but apparently it was. To others who would try this: Make sure you note the locations of the ground, hot, and neutral wiring connections as well as the 2 water line connections before disconnecting and removing the heater core. This is a $40 part so it mine ends up leaking, I will just replace that part.

    Btw..... I followed everything you said and took my steam cleaner apart screw by screw all by myself and it still doesn't work 😣 It was actually very clean inside the heating element. I opened the cover where the belt is and noticed that no liquid is going through the clear tube right there. I'm guessing there is something wrong after the liquid leaves the heating element. The hand tool works perfectly....... Now I gotta do some more research and then take the entire bottom apart. This video was very helpful to me so I was wondering if you had any other suggestions??
    Thank you!!

    • @Inokea
      @Inokea 4 роки тому +1

      Disconnect the tube coming from the heating block down to the bottom. Blow into it. If you can't blow into it , there is an obstruction. You might dislodge whatever it is (could be residue from the heating block) and it'll end up trapped in the filter screen. If you are unable to blow into the hose you need to check in different spots to find the obstruction. Since your hand tool works, the pump is obviously working.

    The problem with mine was the pump belt broke. Replacement part Bissell Deep Cleaner Belt Package includes the pump belt and the brush belt...replace both at the same time.

    I truey don't understand why shampooers have regular screw used in the machine. You would think that they would use a rust resistant coated screw. Thay also use cheep screws that strip when you need to remove them . The companys that make shampooers probably do this so you will end up duying a new one.

    Does this problem affect the hand tool? Our cleaner only fails to spray from the base, but the hand tool works just fine.

    • @asuservice

      He didn't remove and clean it so would guess that it needs it. There's a small screen/filter right under the spinner and it doesn't take much to close the gap between the filter and the spinner. Remove and rinse under warm water works every time for me.

    Best Idea: Don't waste your money on a Bissell cleaner to start with. Bought it brand new. Tried to use it and no water comes out. It does blow dirt into my water though. ???

    Don't ever buy a Bissell. I'v had mine 2 yrs. Every time I use it it quit spraying. Been to the shop 2 times to be fixed, used it today and it's not spraying yet again. What a piece of JUNK!!!!

    • @jgryga
      @jgryga  8 років тому

      +Elizabeth Levtzow That sucks! If it is hardly getting used that seems to happen. I've had to go through mine once more after I got it going here, but one you got it, ya gotta fix it or spend a bunch to get a new one!
