They just watched the idol's show with Haruka. And when Haruka said she wanted to be an idol because of being inspired by the idol on stage, they were supportive of it. I feel like a more appropriate response would have been for Mafumom to apologize for losing her and making sure she feels safe.

I think its because of how in Japan, calling them with you (for example 'anta' あんた which is a harsh / rude way or 'anata' あなた which means you but a bit softer) is considered rude if you know the person well and if you're not that close but still knows them / if you know they're more senior than you, then they'll say their family name / their name but added the suitable honoriffics (for example emu called mafuyu as Asahina-senpai since she's a junior, or mafuyu calling her mom "okaa-san" to show her respect). That's why most of the time when we watch anime or even play games, they called mafuyu with her name instead of saying you directly.
if translated directly from japanese, it’d be translated to “mafuyu” instead of “you”, but it’s only just a form of respect, really. they’d still be referring to the person right in front of them, so it’s equivalent to “you” but more polite basically in japanese.
