I beg to differ. Anything is possible given enough effort and time. This is an issue because it was amazing to begin with, but then was ruined right beforehand with something that's easily reversible. It's like your about to get the best steak ever, but then your server decides to just dumb an entire pint of salt on it right before serving it, drying it out and making it taste worse. Sure the steak is still top tier, but it sure would be nice if the waiter didn't dumb all that salt on it for no reason! (I could have made a better analogy but you get the point right?)
Hidden inventory and Shibuya incident are the series best arcs to this day. The hype couldn't remain low. Mappa knew this and hyped us with more than enough PV so they felt ready to take on the challenge. Almost nobody made such complains about Vinland Saga season 2 because it's not a action-paked arc

Okay, after the Thunderclap episodes it's honestly just really bad art. Why tf are they adding these unnecessary and non cannon special effect fights (Sukana vs JoJo and Mahoraga) it was practically unwatchable. I had to look away at the excess of the flashy and frankly, bad effects. When you slow it down the art just looks really bad so maybe they are trying to compensate with the over the top effects. Mappa ain't Ufotable that's for sure.
The ghosting hurt my eyes that shit was bad and the original animation the animator posted was so much better. The ghosting was TOO MUCH you cant even see most of the frames and I can deal with dimming and ghosting in other anime it’s whatever but this was excessive
i feel like yuji's fight with the bug just felt weird in general even without considering the ghosting and wtv. the fight was strange, some scenes dragged on for to long and some didnt make sense, like when the curse broke the wall yuji was running and then it broke the wall again?? tf was that for
I don't really care about dimming coz it just makes it a bit darker but ghosting is what's really annoying. Luckily it was just a minor fight and a small part of the episode, it'd be a real issue if it was in a big fight. At least the dimming/ghosting will be removed in the blu ray tho

The publishers of Demon Slayer gave Crunchyroll the unedited clear version while their TV version was ghosted and dimmed and the blu-ray still sold good. If enough people criticized JJK's publisher then they could actually release the unedited version for streaming services.
I've seen the discussions but don't really care I just want to enjoy one of my favorite series. Honestly I prefer the style of season 1 but Mappa has just been treating us throughout this year with Vinland Saga and Hell's Paradise already. I just want to acknowledge their efforts because they have it insanely hard.

Cause lets be honest here, grasshopper curse is literally just a fancy little measuring tool to show us how far yuuji's come. I'm betting that we're gonna get some toji vs gojo type stuff in the next few episodes, so I ain't too torn up about it.

I think it's depends on what time slot they air, shows that air during the night have those restrictions while shows that air during the day have more freedom to not add dimming/ghosting, at least that's my theory on why.
There has not been a single good cut of choreographed hand-to-hand combat in this entire season (except maybe the tiny cut in the Geto vs. The Old Man in the Gojo’s Past arc) and we're almost halfway through it. That's fucked up for a series that places so much emphasis on action. Sunghoo Park churned out cut after cut of awesome choreography in S1 and it's sorely missed here.

This is the least prioritized fight in the entire series. Did you watch the episodes 1-7? All of those episodes had great animation with great fight scenes dude. Imma be fr rn, I'm not surprised. Mappa itself is completely overrated as a studio. So many little problems with the animation itself if you look hard enough. Once you see it, it's pretty jarring. And yeah, this is probably done because of the laws at hand, but trust me, once you actually look at stuff from season 1, its not that surprising.
Most people don't watch Mappa works because the animation is Madhouse level but because they have a Monopoly on most of the IP's that are actually worth watching, Compare it to Kyoto which has far better animation but their most recent work is literally just straight up lolibait for lonely middle aged men.

Exactly. There are other series with far worse animation that I enjoy just as much as jjk. They've set a higher standard for themselves, that comes with expectations to keep that standard up. If something doesn't match my expectations of course I will enjoy it less.

Toho Animation are the ones that are giving Crunchyroll the ghosted/dimmed version of these episodes. Also yesterday, it was revealed that Crunchyroll actually have access to the unblurred version of these episodes because they posted unblurred pictures from the Mechamaru vs Mahito fight on Jujutsu Kaisen's main page created by them, so either they heard people's complaints and are gonna give people the unblurred version of these episodes or they're just pissing everyone off with those photos so that more people end up buying the Blurays.
I dont think these are "Big Problems" this seems like minor gripes that are being blown out of proportion. The animation is still good and translates well from the source material, dimming and ghosting has been common in the industry for ages and so there's no need to blow it up and make it seem like a serious problem. This just kinda seems click-bait and intentionally trying to cause discourse in the fandom.
The problem isn't the fact that it's being ghosted and dimmed, it's the fact that it has been overdone since episode 7. For example, the gojo vs toji fight was ghosted/dimmed, but it was done normally and wasn't ghosted/dimmed so much to the point where you couldn't understand what was going on like in the one sequence in the Mechamaru vs Mahito fight where Mahito is dodging Mechamaru's lasers and of course this really unimportant fight between Yuji and the grasshopper in episode 8. Also, everyone who's paying these streaming platforms in order to watch these episodes should have access to the unblurred versions of these episodes and shouldn't have to wait until the bluray version comes out in order to see them.

I think this is okay, the only point that makes jujutsu kaisen season 2 criticized is the drawing, let me emphasize again with the word "drawing". They made the character's visuals pitifully rough to sacrifice the quality of its amazing animation. The rest are all excellent!
As someone who is watching Legend of the Galactic Heroes for fun, I can just feel that people are too picky with animation, like guys, I know it is annoying but...not make a fuss for everything

Are we considering the fact that MAPPA animates a hood portion of the most popular anime rn? Animating every single episode to perfection would likely take way too long and put those employees under even more stress. Japanese people will literally work until they die at their desks so if this is keeping them off the edge I say let it be, this has to be easier then perfectly animating every scene.
Its not about overworking people are mad about, its the fact that these animators clearly put a lot of effort and hardwork to make the scenes look as good only for them to be affected by the ghosting.

Mappa is the sacred cow of the anime industry. Even though I can name 7 studios that are better. Madhouse, Bones, Studio Wit, Kyoto Animation, A-1 Pictures, Kinema Citrus and Ufotable. Two insanely good anime had their quality reduced when Mappa took over, Attack on Titan and Vinland Saga. The latter may have had the same workers carry over but if you have eyes the animation is just worse. My biggest gripe with this studio is censorship. Dorohedoro (violence and nudity), Hell's Paradise (nudity), Vinland Saga (nudity), and now Jujutsu Kaisen (violence). I don't care about the Japanese laws either. I just think when they pick up an anime about what is most likely to be censored. I'm surprised Chainsaw Man got away with censoring nothing. Mappa is extremely overated and I'll criticize their work like any other studio. Regardless of the working conditions.

Dimming is fine tbh, the ghosting is the real issue because it just renders otherwise decent or good scenes into a blurry unreadable mess.

I'ma be honest I doubt crunchyroll is gonna change the ghosting. Like the video said it's a minor fight and the ghosting was so bad and ik they are gonna ghost the bigger and more flashy fights later on in the season. It only makes sense that they would do hopefully they do take it out but I doubt it

So many little problems with the animation itself if you look hard enough. Once you see it, it's pretty jarring.
And yeah, this is probably done because of the laws at hand, but trust me, once you actually look at stuff from season 1, its not that surprising.
Most people don't watch Mappa works because the animation is Madhouse level but because they have a Monopoly on most of the IP's that are actually worth watching, Compare it to Kyoto which has far better animation but their most recent work is literally just straight up lolibait for lonely middle aged men.

Exactly. There are other series with far worse animation that I enjoy just as much as jjk. They've set a higher standard for themselves, that comes with expectations to keep that standard up. If something doesn't match my expectations of course I will enjoy it less.

Also yesterday, it was revealed that Crunchyroll actually have access to the unblurred version of these episodes because they posted unblurred pictures from the Mechamaru vs Mahito fight on Jujutsu Kaisen's main page created by them, so either they heard people's complaints and are gonna give people the unblurred version of these episodes or they're just pissing everyone off with those photos so that more people end up buying the Blurays.
People are mad at crunchyroll because they already HAVE the unblurred version but they still choose to release the blurred one.

I dont think these are "Big Problems" this seems like minor gripes that are being blown out of proportion. The animation is still good and translates well from the source material, dimming and ghosting has been common in the industry for ages and so there's no need to blow it up and make it seem like a serious problem. This just kinda seems click-bait and intentionally trying to cause discourse in the fandom.

The problem isn't the fact that it's being ghosted and dimmed, it's the fact that it has been overdone since episode 7. For example, the gojo vs toji fight was ghosted/dimmed, but it was done normally and wasn't ghosted/dimmed so much to the point where you couldn't understand what was going on like in the one sequence in the Mechamaru vs Mahito fight where Mahito is dodging Mechamaru's lasers and of course this really unimportant fight between Yuji and the grasshopper in episode 8. Also, everyone who's paying these streaming platforms in order to watch these episodes should have access to the unblurred versions of these episodes and shouldn't have to wait until the bluray version comes out in order to see them.

I think this is okay, the only point that makes jujutsu kaisen season 2 criticized is the drawing, let me emphasize again with the word "drawing". They made the character's visuals pitifully rough to sacrifice the quality of its amazing animation. The rest are all excellent!

Are we considering the fact that MAPPA animates a hood portion of the most popular anime rn? Animating every single episode to perfection would likely take way too long and put those employees under even more stress. Japanese people will literally work until they die at their desks so if this is keeping them off the edge I say let it be, this has to be easier then perfectly animating every scene.
Its not about overworking people are mad about, its the fact that these animators clearly put a lot of effort and hardwork to make the scenes look as good only for them to be affected by the ghosting.

Mappa is the sacred cow of the anime industry. Even though I can name 7 studios that are better. Madhouse, Bones, Studio Wit, Kyoto Animation, A-1 Pictures, Kinema Citrus and Ufotable. Two insanely good anime had their quality reduced when Mappa took over, Attack on Titan and Vinland Saga. The latter may have had the same workers carry over but if you have eyes the animation is just worse. My biggest gripe with this studio is censorship. Dorohedoro (violence and nudity), Hell's Paradise (nudity), Vinland Saga (nudity), and now Jujutsu Kaisen (violence). I don't care about the Japanese laws either. I just think when they pick up an anime about what is most likely to be censored. I'm surprised Chainsaw Man got away with censoring nothing. Mappa is extremely overated and I'll criticize their work like any other studio. Regardless of the working conditions.
