Lowbrow Customs is the best. Todd's Triumph 650 engine rebuild video series has been an invaluable resource. The English 101 and 102 videos are also full of great information. Being new to vintage British bikes, their videos have saved me many times.
Love your videos, Weems. I'm going to follow this build closely. The guys at the Ride Factory (especially my pal Shelby) are top-notch people and mechanics.
Love to see Austin going through emo phase. So many of us have been there, done that. He at least has a great set of parents to guide him through these formative years. Also, awesome to see more progress on this sporty! Keep up the great work.
😂 that’s so funny right?! I remember when I was his age and really couldn’t give a shit what my pops was doing either.. just wanted to hang out with my friends & go to shows. Glad he has cool parents that let him be his own self like I had.
My friend had a sportster (1975 gold) when I was 15. By the time I was 17, I was making payments on my own 1980 Sportster. I rode it to school and then to work everyday. That was 1981.
Weems, looking forward to this build, A HARLEY at that. Nice. Is that Sporty a bolt on rear? Noticed you got the weld on hard tail, or is it? Avon is indeed a British company but owned by Cooper tyres Ohio USA, Who are now owned by Goodyear Ohio. Swallowed up by the conglomerates again! Anyway did I hear you say another David Mann Bike. I’m going through all the old David Mann Paintings, Ahaaaa two many to chose from. Wait a minute is it the Guy with his Chick in the Dessert and flat tyre, ( its not an Avon is it 🤔 ) and the Lightning coming down. Noooooooooo don’t tell me you’ll spoil it😄 Weems Have a Good one 👌
DON'T CUT THAT FRAME!!!! Mouse has a few laying around you could butcher. Ever deal with Ray at Thunder Bay? One of the last old time honest to god Harley shops, but beware, they don't suffer fools!
@@weemsmotorco -- You betcha! It's exactly how I remember Sportster choppers from Northern California during the late 1960s/early 1970s. No rake, short fork extensions, "frisco" mounted gas tanks, cobra seats, pearl ribbon paint jobs, and truckloads of chrome. Here's wishing you a lot of sucess with your Sporty build. If it turns out even half as nice as your Born Free 13 Turnip build, it'll be a K.O.! The Lord Jesus keep you and yours safe and well.
There's plenty of chopped up Sportster's out there. Leave this original, even the paint, alone. I really like your builds but this is a mistake. Even if you started with just a motor. I guess it's too late now.
Sorry I can't watch you butcher that beautiful old vintage bike. Don't get me wrong I love your Customs but I think you're starting with the wrong raw materials this time.
@@emmanuelraes803 I would not say that iron heads are everywhere I don't see any in any of the motorcycle parties I go to my buddies 87 Evo Sportster is usually the oldest Sportster at any party unless somebody is answered something in a bike show. I just think that he could start with a rigid frame and then add parts to it instead of chopping up a beautiful vintage bike because don't forget in the sixties people chop Knuckleheads and panheads as you all the stock Parts away. Now I have a Triumph with a bolt on rigid frame so if I wanted to go back to stock I could go back to stock without a great deal of work.
That is a nice clean low mileage vintage Sportster you shouldn't butcher it. I would love to have that bike and ride it just the way it is except for putting a Kickstarter on it you're going to ruin that bike.

Cool build for a great cause. Really love Lowbrow and my ironhead is mostly built with their parts!
Thats a beautiful bike stock but you'll work your magic. Like your boys style rock on! 🤘
Getting there man! Wish I had a ride factory near me. I do have a nice fella that mounts my tires. He works out of his home garage.
Right on
Chop Chop Chop! Love what you're doing brother
I know You’ve said in the past that Austin doesn’t like being on camera but his personality brings something special to your videos every time. 🙏🏽🔥😎

Suicide Silence shirt is killer🤘
Great Eye!
👍
If it's bought from amazon it's probably old tech from one of the big four, no matter what it says on the tank.
The tank is from Lowbrow Customs made here in the USA!
What Not a CHEY gas cap? I thought for sure she would make one for you and meet your design parameters.
What model of Avon tyres were they?
Speedmasters
Suicide silence is awesome saw them back in 08 prob before little homie was born glad to see the next generation getting into them YOLO
We saw them a year back here in Florida!
What do you not work on at TRF...from the back of the shop...me... GOLDWINGS!!!🤪
SHOOSH!!!!
Ive been known to work on " Hondas corvair motor with 2 wheels" before, and hang the occasional "farkle" here or there....(sorry Dad 😐🤣)
I would not cut up at all original ironhead it’s only original once damm
