Jewelry advice, put necklaces/chains thru a straw. It keeps them from getting tangled. Another hint, bring a few sheets of dryer sheets to make closets smell fresh
My suggestion when packing don't put all of your clothes in the same suitcase. Mix it up with your traveling companion. That way if your luggage gets lost you will still have some clothes to wear.
I liked the elevators that show the day of the week on the floor. When you are vacationing, it is like being retired, you have not a clue of what day it is.
I love bringing a foldable/collapsible laundry basket/hamper, it lays flat in your suitcase and then makes it easy to keep all your dirty clothes seperate.
Great tips! Always enjoy your videos. I'm probably somewhat alone in this category but as a somewhat introverted creative, I was so grateful that I remembered to bring art supplies, a ukulele, and lots of pens and paper. By the third day of my cruise, I had attracted the attention of about 5 other creative people and we spent some really enjoyable afternoons together in the blue moon lounge writing poetry, coloring, and making up silly songs together. I hope to run into ya'll one day on a cruise!
I take pictures as I pack at home so that I can prove what was inside my luggage as well as the suitcases themselves. Jared, you've probably heard this a million times but your eyes are sooooo beautiful. They make me smile inside!
Fantastic guys! Some I already do, but I nominate tip of the year goes to changing the lock screen on your phone. I’m surprised no one came up with this sooner
Love this! You provided many hacks I’ve never thought about! Than you!!! I just started using packing cubes to organize and keep my clothes from moving around. It makes packing and unpacking so much easier.
I’ve been using packing cubes for years, and I absolutely love them. I just did a 14 day cruise in January and before I went I purchased a new set that actually connect with zippers and then the top one has a hook on it, so they hang in the closet. It was perfect for keeping my clothes organized on the longer cruise.
Before we put things into the safe, we put them into a large ziplock bag first. That way the small items such as jewelry or a watch is less likely to be “lost” in the depths of the safe.
Selfie stick and towel clips for the deck chairs. Selfie stick makes taking photos so much easier, and if your short and can't see over people, it is helpful. You also.have better options for more angles.
I recommend packing something warm even in summer weather can change quickly , and interiors of ships can be cold to some people I also recommend some kind of water shoe for the pool slides spa shower so on
Great cruise tips!! Thank you!! To keep necklaces tangle, free, I cut straws in half and put them on either side of the hook, sliding it down the chain then put each one separately and little sandwich bags and then put them all in one bigger plastic bag… Helps a lot!!
I use pill containers for earrings. I also bring a snake chain in silver and gold, then add enhancers to thread onto the chain. It saves bringing numerous necklaces. Air freshener: I use fabreeze "clean linen" scent. It is the least offensive scent for small spaces. I book inside cabins and I'm bringing an extension cord (no surge protector).
Added tips...a door jamb to keep it open (great for getting a scooter through the door, and it can go either under the door or in the hinge area); if you bring magnetic Hooks and they aren't strong enough and slide down the wall, put it on the ceiling!; bring a door decoration for the exterior of the door to make it easier to find your door in a hall of like looking doors!
I personally don’t think anyone should be treated rudely, “beneath stations”. Lord I would have been tempted as the sever to have the manager chat with her. Life is so short, you are blessed to be able to to have the opposite to travel….. enjoy it!!! Instead of being mean and lonely maybe sh could smile and actually make friends!!!
If you have clothing that tends to wrinkle easy in a place it in a bag (each piece separate) it reduces the chance of wrinkles. Pkace it in your suitcase at the last possible moment. My hubby & I have our clothes dry cleaned so they are already bagged. But we have gone & asked for extra bags to place other items in as well. It is a hack I will forever use. Also other clothing items take the time to neatly roll shorts & shirts it helps with space. 😉
Hi Jared and Jordan, I always look up the deck plan to see where things a located deck by deck. This could be restaurants, theater, shops, ect. I find it easy to navigate the ship. As you stated ships are getting larger every year. I do this not to be a bother to the ship crew. Although they are more than willing to be of any help . Thanks for this video .
Great call! A lot of venues are often missed because people are unaware the venues even existed. Definitely a way to find those hidden gems onboard the ship!
Do NOT bring a power strip or any other multi-outlet tools that have power surge protection as they are not allowed on ships due to safety reasons. If you need an extension cord for a C-PAP or any other medical device, you should be sure to request one from the cruise line weeks in advance so they can have one available for you inside your stateroom that is safe to use.
My son left his iPad on the ship. Thank goodness it was easy to describe and we had it shipped back to us within about a week. Now we do exactly what you recommend and label all of our electronics.
Hi JJ Cruise! There are a lot of cruise tips videos, but yours was new and interesting. We love Celebrity Blu and I love Indian food. Have you ever asked for the daily Indian dish in Blu?
We cruised Celebrity for the 1st time last year. We loved all the Indian food offerings at the buffet so much that our entire party ate at the buffet for almost every meal!
One suggestion, as a woman with Crohn's Disease, and on chemo...... Even if you are healthy, consider buying a purse-sized bottle of Poo-pourrie. You can get bottles as small as a tube of lipstick. Include it with your carry-on liquids. You spray the water in the potty before you "go". Your cabin mates will thank you! 😊
I love looking on line the ship map diagram on line to buy. Lot of people sell their old ones. Then bring it with you on and put i on the wall. Help get to know the ship faster
Didn't know you guys were travel agents. Will definitely contact you in the future. I dumped my old agent since I did 100% of the work. She did nothing except got paid. Going on my fourth solo cruise in Oct 2023
As always, love your vlog. I noticed one production issue to take a look at. Your thumbnail for the video is outlined in red. On my android based UA-cam app, videos show in red on the thumbnail how much you have watched. If I watch a full video, the bottom of the thumbnail is solid red. Someone might see your video and think they have already watched it bc the bottom is already outlined in red.
My must haves are my thermal coffee cup so my coffee goes around the ship with me and my magnets for walls and ceilings. We travel with carry on luggage so other than that we don't bring many extras.
Love that bridge cam wakeup idea. We are on Ovation at the moment and have a very early shore excursion in 2 days. Setting multiple alarms but this will definately help us too!
When getting back onboard instead of waiting in line for an elevator, go up 1 deck and grab the elevator. Did that last week on the Breakaway and had an elevator to myself
Hey guys, love your videos. I too travel for a living. One travel hack i always use is, i make a copy of my passport. Weather I'm cruising or flying if that passport is lost or stolen you at least have a copy which should help you get home!
Not going through all the comments so I apologize if it has already been said. You take your favorite sponge, one side, spongy, one side scrubby. Then you get it nice and wet with warm water then you grab your favorite dish soap and get it all lathered up. Once it’s all wet, soapy and lathered up, you just set it on the counter or outside and just let it dry . Once dry you cut it up to the size you would like and then you can use this to wash any drink containers or anything you might bring with you coffee cups etc. on your trip we do this for all of our types of trips, cruising and not
I have to admit that I did not think of this, and I will get full credit for the individual that dead don’t know his name, but he was with AAA travel. You don’t have to be a AAA member to attend but if you do a time and your AAA member, then they have products and stuff that you can get get it a discount say they sell luggage you get it 30,50% off, but they do have symposiums or classes on traveling various types of traveling and I attended one of these way back in early 2000’s I don’t know if it’s still going on or not but that would be another travel tip is look to your local AAA‘s and see if they have kind of how to classes tips and tricks classes And again keep up the amazing good work
I carry a pill container with 10 different types of pills in it (in separate slots). Meds for gas, tummy, colds, nausea, diarrhea and allergy. Such a peace of mind. I havent had to use it, but travel companions have! Lots of styles on Amazon or drug stores. Also, I use hook magnets in the ceiling in the shower with a hanger to dry wet things. Better than the gross string.
Thanks for sharing! Just be sure no prescription meds are in those containers and that each container is properly labeled. Medication is one thing we never recommend taking out of original packaging but if you do, be sure you are super safe with all meds. Also, be aware that on a cruise/while traveling, if pills are not in original packaging (especially prescription pills) and you are searched/stopped at any point, you could be suspected of illegal drug trafficking/smuggling or best case scenario they could be confiscated and thrown away. That’s why we keep all pills in their original containers (even though the bulkiness is a pain). 😌 Love the hooks on the ceiling in the shower!
I have to laugh. I haven’t used a cabin shower in years. So much better in the gym or spa shower. I even prepared for my beach wedding in St. Thomas in the gym bathroom of Carnival Destiny!
Thanks for some new "fresh tips'. I use a large straw & cut down the center. Then slide part lengthwise of it inside & the other part outside. It is easy to slide out & doesn't tangle.
Also, I take a small present for my stateroom attendant like some local chocolates from my area or even a phone card so they call home. Doesn't have to be expensive. They work so hard & a little thoughtfulness on my part goes a long way.
Germaphobe here...We bring Microban/Lysol and on arrival, we disinfect our cabin just before we leave it to do other things aboard the ship. Also, be kind to others in your stateroom...bring some Poo-Pourri.
choose coastal island destinations or be prepared to pay dearly for real dream places vs ports save in land places for river cruise or bus land tour instead of trying to visit berlin florence rome paris london seville cordoba granada santiago compostela brussels milano from ocean as in three hours one way
Melody wanted me to tell you that you guys forgot to mention pop-puri. What happened keep the toilet and shower area smelling nicer than what it can be.
But the only thing sometimes I don’t like about using a travel agent is you can’t make your own changes through the cruise line over the phone or when you get on the ship if you have a problem, the cruise line always tells you to contact the travel agent.
You can avoid carrying a large pill case if you purchase “pill packs” at the drug store. They are tiny little ziplocs . There is a space on them for writing down the day and time, and it saves so much room in your carryon. I no longer have pills spilled out in my purse or carryon either.
Just be sure to have your prescriptions attached for all prescribed meds as they will require it if asked to show proof of prescription. Also, it is safest to keep prescribed pills in prescription bottles with original prescription attached to ensure no one takes the wrong meds by mistake and for ease in proof. I know they are bulky but we’ve heard too many horror stories of people taking wrong meds or being suspected of drug smuggling because of no prescription. Sounds ridiculous, we know, but it unfortunately does happen. 😌
Tips are nice...but visuals to accompany what you're talking about would make it even clearer. As a woman (who packs for her husband), I cannot picture what you mean by putting a belt inside a collar. Also makes things fun to have a bit of change of what you're looking at during a video. :)
Hey guys, i really appreciated some of these tips as they arent the usual tips i've heard a dozen times! I was especially interested in your mention that you both are travel agents and maybe able to get group rates on occassion. My mom and I have been looking for a good TA who can get us a better deal than we can find ourselves. Also, since my friend and i were able to get a once in a lifetime upgrade to a haven cabin on our last ncl cruise, we've been dying to find a way to make it a twice-in-a-lifetime event! Can you help?
Yes! We are happy to see what rates we can get for a specific sailing of interest. Head to www.JJCruise.com and fill out the inquiry form so we can get you best rates!
Yeah, I remember the original post. I'm assuming the original villain (the one abusing the crewmember) was hopefully embarrassed by their bad behavior. Absolutely unacceptable. I'm sorry you received such shabby treatment.
My sister was on vacation and left her phone on the bench. I got a phone call from her phone from the person who found it asking for a phone number that will reach her I gave her my sister husband number. Long story short she got her cell phone back
Be sure your medication is in the original container and if it’s prescription get a copy of the prescription from your doctors. You can be detained by customs or immigration in foreign countries while they test all the random, unlabeled pills you brought along.
Jewelry advice, put necklaces/chains thru a straw. It keeps them from getting tangled. Another hint, bring a few sheets of dryer sheets to make closets smell fresh
OMG! Your advice about putting your contact info on your lock screen on your phone is brilliant!
Glad you think so! We thought it was a Brilliant idea when we heard it too!
My suggestion when packing don't put all of your clothes in the same suitcase. Mix it up with your traveling companion. That way if your luggage gets lost you will still have some clothes to wear.
Great advice!
I liked the elevators that show the day of the week on the floor. When you are vacationing, it is like being retired, you have not a clue of what day it is.
Yes! We love this too!
I love bringing a foldable/collapsible laundry basket/hamper, it lays flat in your suitcase and then makes it easy to keep all your dirty clothes seperate.
That is a nice addition that takes barely any space but really helps with clutter in the room with dirty clothes.
Great tips! Always enjoy your videos.

The Bridge Cam TV light is something I've been sharing for years! Love this money saving idea. ♥♥♥♥
Thanks for commenting!! Glad to get this tip out to the masses to help save some money!
Truly a cruise hack we all should be doing in general while traveling.
Love this! You provided many hacks I’ve never thought about! Than you!!! I just started using packing cubes to organize and keep my clothes from moving around. It makes packing and unpacking so much easier.

@@jcirillo63 I need to look for those! Thanks for tip!!
Another great idea is to put your contact info on a standard sheet of paper in each piece of luggage. Add flight info and cruise ship state room.
Great idea!!
For insurance purposes also take a picture of what is inside your luggage. It will help you remember what you packed
Great tip!
Carry some crystalized ginger. It works for seasickness, after that Indian dinner to settle the stomach, and it's a great little treat.
Something I always take is fingernail clippers. After a really long flight, I will have studied my nails enough to find many faults.
I always put an AirTag in my luggage now. That way if my luggage gets misdirected I know where it is.
Yes!! This is definitely a great idea!
I recommend packing something warm even in summer weather can change quickly , and interiors of ships can be cold to some people I also recommend some kind of water shoe for the pool slides spa shower so on

We are so happy to hear!!
We bring an over the door storage while they are sold for shoes they hold so much more.
Amazing video! Seriously off the beaten path tips, love and appreciate it!
We are so happy you loved them! 🥳
In addition to a lot of the items you mentioned to bring with you on a cruise, I always take a power strip with as long of a cord as possible.
A camcorder! I haven’t heard that term in decades! Love you guys!
Right?! We definitely have seen them more now on cruises than prior to the pandemic... maybe they are making a comeback?
Good stuff. . . I really love the pill container for my smaller necklaces!
Thanks for watching and sharing your fave!!
gallon size zip lock bag. for wet swimsuit and snacks
Love the tip!
Great idea! Will remember this one for next time so that I may sit in the hot tub on the last night!

I love looking on line the ship map diagram on line to buy. Lot of people sell their old ones. Then bring it with you on and put i on the wall. Help get to know the ship faster
I bring a dry erase pen to leave a note on the mirror where Ive headed to and the time.

Love that bridge cam wakeup idea. We are on Ovation at the moment and have a very early shore excursion in 2 days. Setting multiple alarms but this will definately help us too!
Yes! Truly a good way to wake up and one hard to do without the bridge cam on in an inside stateroom.
We also order room service as an outside wake-up call. Also, it saves some time from hunting and gathering breakfast.
When getting back onboard instead of waiting in line for an elevator, go up 1 deck and grab the elevator. Did that last week on the Breakaway and had an elevator to myself
Yes!! We ❤️ this cruise hack and do it every Embarkation Day (works every time)
Great ideas, thanks for sharing. My favorite are shower hooks.
Thanks for watching and sharing your favorite!
Hey guys, love your videos. I too travel for a living. One travel hack i always use is, i make a copy of my passport. Weather I'm cruising or flying if that passport is lost or stolen you at least have a copy which should help you get home!
Great tip to also have a copy! Thanks for sharing!
Always good to see you. Take care.
Thanks, you too! :D
I loved meeting you two on the Vlogger Extravaganza! I was so excited. Thank you for sharing your tips. 🙂
It was a pleasure meeting you too!! 🤗
Great tip! Thanks for sharing!!

You don’t have to be a AAA member to attend but if you do a time and your AAA member, then they have products and stuff that you can get get it a discount say they sell luggage you get it 30,50% off, but they do have symposiums or classes on traveling various types of traveling and I attended one of these way back in early 2000’s
I don’t know if it’s still going on or not but that would be another travel tip is look to your local AAA‘s and see if they have kind of how to classes tips and tricks classes
And again keep up the amazing good work
I carry a pill container with 10 different types of pills in it (in separate slots). Meds for gas, tummy, colds, nausea, diarrhea and allergy. Such a peace of mind. Love the hooks on the ceiling in the shower!
Be careful traveling internationally with that. You can temporarily detained while they test all those unmarked pills for contraband.
Great ideas. Passed this on to my family for our cruise this summer! Thanks guys.
Our pleasure! Have a blast on your cruise!!
Always love you guys and this one doesn’t disappoint!!!❤❤❤❤❤
We are so happy to hear! Thanks Melissa for watching and commenting your kind thoughts!
Stasher bags. See through, waterproof and come in many sizes. Sort items easily.
Great Tip! Thanks for commenting! :)
Love the shower hook idea! Always seems like there’s not enough places in the shower to put your stuff like poofs and razors etc.
So true! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Great tips and video as always!
Thanks so much! We are so glad you enjoyed it!
I have to laugh. I haven’t used a cabin shower in years. So much better in the gym or spa shower. I even prepared for my beach wedding in St. Thomas in the gym bathroom of Carnival Destiny!
They are usually some nicer facilities 😉
Thanks for this tips. I really like the shower cap one a lot and have a few on hand I can pack with me on my next vacation!
Yes!! Love being able to reuse and recycle these items that could be used more than once too!
Great tips. Thank you
You are so welcome! We are so glad it was helpful!
Great video and tips! ❤️
Thanks Mercy!! 🤗
I take pictures of luggage when flying too
Hi Jared and Jordan - It was so great meeting you on the Vloggers Cruise! Love all your content!
Thanks so much!! It was great meeting you as well! :D
We have heard a straw is great for keeping jewelry from tangling as well! Thanks for sharing this tip with everyone!!
Great ideas!!!
Thanks Winnie! We are so happy you enjoyed these Cruise Hacks!
We like to bring a couple European to US converters with multiple USB and US plugs to take advantage of the European plugs
Always a good idea! We do the same 🥳
Good hacks guys !! Thx
So glad you liked them!! 🥳
great ideas!
Thanks Barbara! 🥳
Take disposable gloves to use in the buffet!
Yay!!!!! More ideas more my 2nd cruise coming.
Yes!! Definitely some unique ones in this list ;)
Check to see what days you are in port to see what might be closed.
Always a great idea!
Great video
Thanks Betty for the 👍🏽

Melody wanted me to tell you that you guys forgot to mention pop-puri. What happened keep the toilet and shower area smelling nicer than what it can be.
We do love some poo-pouri, just a little bigger/heavier to carry
Melody said you can get the travel size in a 2 ounce bottle. It will last more than a week.
But the only thing sometimes I don’t like about using a travel agent is you can’t make your own changes through the cruise line over the phone or when you get on the ship if you have a problem, the cruise line always tells you to contact the travel agent.
Let the Travel Agent take on the work while you enjoy the cruise. ;)
@@JJCruise key being having a GOOD travel agent! LOL
Do you do bookings for Australians?
We wish! We unfortunately can only book U.S. and Canadian Residents. 😌

Oops, comment went on wrong story.... assuming
You can figure which one I'm referring to.
My sister was on vacation and left her phone on the bench. I got a phone call from her phone from the person who found it asking for a phone number that will reach her I gave her my sister husband number. Long story short she got her cell phone back
That's great that they were able to call out of the phone! Must not have been locked yet when found or had the contact info on the locked screen!
Bring sunscreen and use it my grandson got second degree burns and it costed him $30000.00 for the medical bill
Yes, protect the skin you are in. A Tan only lasts a few weeks, but sun burns can last a life time in medical issues or end a life if super serious.
On the Lock Screen, I put my name, ship, and cabin number.
Great call! Have you ever lost it too? Did it work if so?
@@JJCruise I haven’t (knock on wood). I did leave my phone on a chair in Cucina but I remembered and went back to get it and it was still there.
I keep my camera equipment, bathing suit, toiletries, medicine and underwear in my carry-on.
Good list! Always a good idea to have an extra set of underwear 🩲
Hola chicos
Hola!
Here’s a tip: don’t bring fine jewelry on a cruise.
I can't travel without my Yetti.
We travel with Yetis too! Such great insulation!
Binoculars
Yes! Some cruise lines provide them pending the itinerary but I’m general they are always good to have ☺️
We travel with a monocular. Lighter and takes up less space!
Be sure your medication is in the original container and if it’s prescription get a copy of the prescription from your doctors. You can be detained by customs or immigration in foreign countries while they test all the random, unlabeled pills you brought along.
