Technically it's not The Sims 1, it was a spin off multiplayer version called The Sims Online. released in 2002 i believe and died the horrible EA death in 2008 i believe, FreeSO uses the game client from TSO and the developer wrote his own code for the server so that the masses could once again play this game. Everything you achieve, money, skills etc etc is saved on the server so the only way to lose your achievement's on that sim is to delete the sim :D The skills do increase in speed the more people that do the same skill at the same time, This will go up to 142% speed for new accounts below 7 days old and on a "welcome lot" like the one you visited and 118% on a "skill lot" There is no fast forward or pause because it is an online game and other people play plus that could get messy lol. I will leave the information at that or you will end up with a book in your comments :D Also the House/Lot you visited "New Player Welcome Spot" is owned by me, everyone is welcome to join and we will happily guide you through your first steps in FreeSO!

FreeSO has been around for about 3 years now. The developers have actually made it 10x Better then the original TSO. It’s still in the beta stage. I’m so excited one of the simmers I watch has done a video on it.
While they're now reached the Beta 2 stage some features are still in development especially the property and visitor stats. It'll take some time until FreeSO is finally complete.

I’ve always been sad I never played Sims 1, my first Sims game was literally Sims 2 on the PS2. I also love the idea of people on the street seeing someone wearing “100 Baby Challenge” on their shirt and being VERY confused lmao! To build up your skills faster, you want to go to a skill house! The more people working on the skill the faster your skill will go up. For example, if there is a lot of sims playing piano, then play piano or another musical instrument and your skill will go up quicker. Also if you are eating and someone is “singing” to you, then it’s fine..it helps your social go up! Looking forward to see you play more of this! I played this all time back in the early 2000s when it first came out! It was my most favorite Christmas gift haha!

Bad? Not even close, THE BEST. A lot of kids didn’t play it because you had to have an account that you paid for monthly.
The original closed in 2008 and FreeSO can't advertise so it's a small but sweet community of about 100 + people. Friendly bunch though.
