  • Two magicians have a feud which will eventually lead to their demise. The movie is a great adaptation, but that doesn't mean there aren't some huge changes between the book and movie.

The book is a pretty great mystery thriller though a little convoluted in its own way. I went in to hate the film when my mom took me, but I got sucked in quickly thanks to the cast, the story itself and its reveals & Nolan’s examination of the two leads and what a contrast they become after the tragedy of Julia’s demise & their rivalry ultimately destroys them

In the book, it's never explicitly stated how Andrew Borden was found by his father. It is stated that, as a small boy he is thrown into the machine by the Elder Angier. How or where his Prestige ended up is a real mystery in the book that's never answered, but it's clear that the machine did transport the boys somewhere. Probably to the outside of the house after the accident happens. I imagine his distraught father just threw the boy in the car and left. It is never explicitly stated in the book though.

So I just got done reading the book and came straight to youtube for an explanation of the ending. It sounds like Angier succeeded in getting back into his body? but then was just kept lcoked down there? Furthermore, the way Andrew and Nickki kept in contact makes me think that when you transport, a bit of you is left in the husk. The thing with the weigh of the money lead me to belive that but I could be wrong. Anyways thank you for your video ❤

I feel like the book went a bit too far and should've quit while it was ahead.
Feel like the movie's ending was therefore much better.

Tesla was a real person that did impossible things, Edison’s men really did take all his research and keep it secret. So I believe that aspect of the story is more realistic than being a sci-fi story. Also They actually did use a fake nose for Hugh jackmans look alike role. I love the movie, the romantic tragedy is done so well
