Disney's Jollywood Nights Event at Disney's Hollywood Studios kicked off in November to some of the worst reviews we've ever read. So I had to check it out for myself... and this was also our first time to a Disney World theme park, so it was extra special!

ABOUT THE EVENT FROM DISNEY:
Disney Jollywood Nights is a separately ticketed event that will take place from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on select nights between November 11 and December 20, 2023.
“It’s a holiday vibe like you’ve never felt before with sights of sparkling décor, sounds of modern beats over classic holiday songs, tastes of craft cocktails and decadent dishes. It’s nostalgic and it’s glitz and glam galore. Get ready to dress in your holiday glam best or festive flair, dance the night away to merry mashups, indulge in divine treats and bubbling spirits, and snap selfies with iconic characters during this new festive event.”
Different entertainment areas in the park will be inspired by different genres:
You’ll be welcomed to Disney Jollywood Nights with a DJ spinning a mix of holiday tunes. Commissary Lane comes to life with a lively Latin Street Fair. Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy host a live holiday special at Theater of the Stars with some of their Disney friends. And … what’s this? Hyperion Theater will host a spirited sing-along - more details to come.
Encounter glitz and glamor galore at two limited-capacity entertainment experiences - a jazz lounge at The Hollywood Brown Derby and an other-worldly soiree at The Hollywood Tower Hotel Courtyard.
Wrap up the night and enjoy the return of a festive favorite, “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” This Santa-sized nighttime spectacular is jam-packed with music, fireworks, special effects and dazzling state-of-the-art projections.
There will be various photo opportunities:
Pose with friends for holiday-themed Magic Shots and two new Disney PhotoPass experiences throughout the night. Complimentary digital downloads of your Disney PhotoPass photos captured during the event are included with the price of your ticket.**
Meet Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and the rest of the iconic gang in Animation Courtyard on a hot set with holiday props. Get into the spirit with your fave throwback friends like Powerline Max and Phineas and Ferb at Echo Lake and strike a pose with Edna Mode and chill with one of her super friends at Pixar Place.
Attractions open after hours will include Slinky Dog Dash, Rock N’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. (Star Wars: Rise of Resistance will use virtual queue during Disney Jollywood Nights.)
Disney Jollywood Nights is a limited-capacity holiday event. Ticket prices will range from $159 - $179 per person. Party dates are:
November: 11,18, 20, 27, 29
December: 4, 6,16,18, 20

This video is actually so impactful. I went to Jollywood Nights with 3 others who had not been to the parks since at least 2019. They loved every moment. I think passholders and people who frequent the park come for something other than the rides like the special characters and treats. But I think we miss the point. I got to take 3 people and experience new and old things with them. That's all that matters in the end 🤍 thank yall for reminding me of that.
Thank you for this video! We are attending this event later. Since we are not locals but big Star Wars fans, we wanted to ride the rides and enjoy the park with low crowds. I am so glad you shared this perspective because most bloggers focused on food and characters which can be of interest for some, but this is the first perspective I have seen on focusing on rides. ❤

Lol our video is up too. What day did you go on we went on the 3rd day and I loved it. I think since I have been enough the coasters wasn't as important. I love meeting characters like stitch and Max as power line (a goofy movie). But excellent video glad you liked. And I will say if you do Mickey's very Merry Christmas it is so much fun that video will be out tomorrow on our channel. Lol
I feel like you probably benefitted from the massive complaints from the first few nights. I've done 3 After Hours events at Disney World. 2 of them have been awesome but 1 was a mess. We went to one of the first Villains After Hours events at Magic Kingdom a few years ago and they had the event way oversold. They didn't have enough things to do for the people that were there. They thought that their castle projection show would pull in most of the crowds and it didn't. There were a ton of complaints from that night to the point that they were even offering refunds to some people. Over the next couple of weeks they made adjustments and the reviews of the event got a lot better. I know that was the case here as well. They've gradually added a couple of activities and limited attendance a bit and in the end the experience now is better than when it first started. With any new Disney event I'd give it a few weeks to work out the kinks before you invest in attending.
