You must be a living in the fast lane, it’s only Saturday July 9. I drove from my house in Burley to Auburn Boeing for 15 years after 10 years in Everett Boeing and I retired a couple years ago and don’t miss the commute a bit. I’ve lived here since 1952 so I remember when there was no I-5 freeway, a lot of change’s in that time, nice drive though, thanks for reminding me.
I really like watching your videos from Western Washington. I lived in the Tacoma/Puyallup area for 26 years until I retired. Had to move back to Tennessee for my wife's parents. Once her Dad is gone, We may consider moving back to Puyallup. If we can afford to.
Thanks, glad they bring back good memories. It has gotten expensive here, I am looking for a cheaper place to live once my wife retires. I wish I had started doing this years ago so I would have videos of other places we have lived. I will keep making videos of Western Washington along with other areas when I have chances to hit the road :)
I agree . When her dad passes, you should go to a psychic MEDIUm. I agree the SOUTH is much cheaper to live than up here up north in the state of WASHINGTON.
Are there many people who ferry over to Seattle for work? How feasible is that? I noticed you’d mentioned your wife commuted to Seattle daily. Is she still doing that?
Yep, she takes the fast ferry from Southworth. Her employer gives her a free ferry pass for every month which saves $12 a day, it is also good for cars we found out! The Southworth fast fery is 24 minutes to Seattle, the Bremerton fast ferry is 30 minutes and the slow ferry from Bremerton to Seattle is 60 minutes. The Southworth fast ferry has been very full along with the parking lot. New houses can be bought here for $500-600k so lots of people are discovering the area, also tons of new apartments being built in Port Orchard.
@@AmericanOutbackAmazing , thanks for the info and the drive video. We are scouting out potential locations to move in a few years and the NW is our favorite region.

Your welcome, hard to imagine life before I-5.

I've sat at that light near the start of the video and thought I'd be ready for retirement by the time it changed. Seems to take forever to change.
It must be broken!
