Hi Paola. When you use your acetone to cleanse the nail instead of buffing it do you do the underside of the nail as well for better adhesion for the client? Or is that not necessary? Thanks so much😊
Thanks for your video it’s super informative. I realise I am late to this party but I have a question. When doing a set of 20+ nails, how do your know/decide which tip to decorate with crystals or make a feature? I always worry that I will decorate up the one tip in the set that won’t fit the customer 😲
Paola, How do they know what size they are if they are not measuring their nails? I’m trying to be really convenient but this sizing is really consuming me. You have to send them a measuring kit or use the tape method. There’s no other way right?
@@SakuraaaHarmony see now that’s my issue with the small med & large kits option because who determines what’s small-large 😭 you know? I saw a suggestion on it but then if the sizes they have don’t correspond to the pre-set #’s, they’re basically getting a custom set anyway so they’d still have to measure their nail or know what sizes they are.
Can you please do another video just on the different types of nail options? I'm having a difficult time trying to decide which to choose. The half matte, the full matte, the pre-etched (not exactly sure what that means, which is how I found your channel). The options just seem a tad overwhelming and I'm just trying to do some for myself lol. But I would definitely appreciate more information on all the different types of nail tips.
Hi Paola. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge👏❤️ Can you please introduce a mild acetone swipe, please? (I’ve just found pure acetone 100!) And I wanted to ask you if we need to matte the inside of the gel-tips with acetone and apply top coat for reusable gel press ons?
Thank you so much for the content its amazing and very informative. However I do have a question about store bought press on nails, how do or would you get the tips of the press ons to be sturdy and not flimsy?
Hi Paola! Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge. I wanted to ask you if you use primer and base coat to make a more adhesive surface. Also, do you use construction gel to make the nails more firm? Thanks a lot!
Nope & Nope. Just matte the surface prior to application with mild acetone swipe, or gentle buffer. Adding too much product on press-ons does make them hard but may also take away their nice curvature and fit to the natural nail.
What if my light isn’t able to be lifted the way you showed bc the bottom is closed? And do you need to file the inside of the nail or is using acetone enough?
Hi thanks for Puerto Rico, I want to start my business working from home by Covid 19 , I have Diabetic condition , lts a higher risk for me working in a company or on Retail as I use to. Can you suggest me where can I buy all the materials for starting my business and also let me know if it is a great choice to begin selling press on gel nails, really don't have info. , or just the tips with gel polish and design. Thanks for sharing.
@@PaolaPonceNails thank you!!! Do you have a video about how to charge for press-ons? I'm just starting and i'm using aprés nails and planning on sending 20 nails on each order. But i don't know how to charge 🤍
Check out nailedbycristy.com she really seems to have nailed (hehe) the press on thing. And make sure you watch the Part 1-3 of my videos on this topic. Thanks!
LCD P Hi there! Could you please put your videos from part 1-3 in the description box so they are easy to locate? YT doesn’t do so in the recommendations and I went to your videos and for some reason I’m having a time trying to find part 2! 🥰 So, I was able to search and find all of the videos and this is the most helpful set of videos there are! Thank you soooo much!! ❤️

Don't use putty, your nails will wobble around and acetone melts it. Use strong mounting tape and make sure not to leave them on it for a extended time because it will be hard to get off
Thanks for the tips. The trick with the putty is to use A LOT. And as far as acetone... Be very gentle or your tip can crack. Either dilute your acetone a bit or barely wipe it w/acetone. Have done these 2 things for years.
Hi Paola, thank you so much for sharing these videos about the press-on nails business! I'm aware that Après or Kokoist nail tips are top quality but unfortunately, I'm struggling to buy those due to unbearable shipping costs to my country. I'm considering buying nail tips from Wildflowers Nail Shop instead, would you recommend? I would love to know if you recommend any other brand out there that would help us to create great press-on nails.
Can you please make a separate video just on the sizing and like as you said putting 20 in the case
The buffing the free edge to stop the pooling there, is something that was driving me nuts for sooo long im so glad you mentioned that. Youre awesome!
Happy to help!

Hi, i was wondering if you have to use a base coat on press ons or not?
Paola, fab video, thanks for sharing. What do you use to stick the tips in that curved shape where you have multiple sets in one box?
Hello Paola, thanks a lot for the video. Do you add a specific glue for the kit? was always struggling with the glues in any kit.
should i buy all different lenght of nail tips? or can i cut those long or medium to short?

I’m still trying to figure that out as well. I will be sending a few different sizes, or having them choose a small, medium or large size

I was wondering how far in advance I can make my press on inventory. I am using apres and presto gel polish.
Maybe you can have a monthly release date?
Very helpful 👌 thanks for sharing!
While making a set of 20, on what sizes should we do the accent nails?
So you do two sets of 0-9? For the set of 20?

Will just wiping them with acetone will work as well as buffing them to avoid peeling off?
Yes. But be very gentle or your tip can crack. Either dilute your acetone a bit or barely wipe it w/acetone.
@@PaolaPonceNails I've seen people using primer before applying the gel color. is that necessary for press ons?
No :) As long as the surface is matte (with mild acetone wipe or buffer... I hate dust, so I do a mild acetone swipe.)

Will do. There is a card on the top right that should show up before the 5min mark.
Good suggestion.
How do you get the nails off the putty when you are done? Mine keeps sticking to the back of the nail and I can’t get it off

Hi. Which top coat do I use for a glossy look for my fake nails? Is gel top coat better or normal top coat?
Definitely go with gel. I think gel is best for fake mails all the time.
