It's already done github.com/LVutner/ClearSkyPBS But we need this on vanilla Anomaly, so every addon can follow the same specific texture workflow. It's almost useless to implement the code with just an addon, the PBR needs to be the standard for everyone.
nice effect YOU WOULD THINK but this effect changes ALL surfaces to be glossy and have lots of reflections as if they were made of glass... horrible, if you enter a building and you see reflections on the brick walls
The performance impact is very small... But, I'm still adding some new features to the rain, you will need to test for yourself when the update happen.

This might be the best looking rain I have seen in a game. Something about the splash particles just brings it all together really well.

I see on the video that both new and old rain splashes are presented. Will the be a option disable the old one?
The splashes mesh is the same, the only change is the refraction. Maybe you're confounding splashes with ripples?

This is just rain refraction, doesn't affect surfaces.
