Great sounding Instrument, wow. I just ordered a CS- OOOO-18 for my coming birthday and she will arrive on thursday.. I feel like a young boy right before christmas. Adirondak top and a 2 piece sinker mahagony back and sides with a long scale neck. Can't wait to receive this guitar...
Bobby, this one is interesting. I wouldn't have guessed it was Mahogany. It sounds more like Indian Rosewood to me with a sort of reverb quality and very present treble/overtones. Could also be due to new strings, mic setup, etc.
This one more so than many others I've played is exceptional in every way. I played 3 or 4 of the Gruhn ones and I like this one much better. I think the short scale and the Authentic top thickness make the difference.
The Mahogany with the short scale length really lends itself to faster playing and blues playing more than the Rosewood version. The other Rosewood on I had a while back was a 12 Fret model with Red Spruce and Cocobolo and the 42 style trim package, Much different instrument than this one. Music Villa is doing a good job ordering these, I like this one a bit better than the Gruhn ones I’ve played.
Nice playing, thanks Bobby!

Nice dude, I’m ordering a Custom 0000-18 Ambertone, if I had more money; I’d love to get the 3 piece back mahogany
Do you know if it’s forward shifted or if it’s scalloped bracing? 5/16” I’m guessing, I’m going with 1/4”
I’m subbing to your channel. Excellent content!
How do you feel about mahogany vs. EIR?
Thanks,
Alan Tomlinson

@@RockinB23 This one sounds very fast, rich, glowing and directly with a good punch and depth at the same time.
