This is my favorite game of 2020 so far. I really did enjoy this game so much
That's awesome! Its such a fun game with a perfect release date.
Stumbled across this game a week ago. Loving it so far!!!
Great to hear!
Thank you for the console review. I’m interested in picking this up. So many great games out and releasing. Will see and if not, I’ll def check out a playthrough! 😊
You are very welcome thank you for watching!
Great review!
It blows my mind that one person developed this game.
Gives new meaning to "indie" as in individual.
Anyway, I think it's a very solid effort.
The look, the feel, the style is on point.
I really hope this is a start of a franchise.
I believe that Nicolas Meyssonnier reads these comments.
One suggestion I would make in terms of the weapons;
Maybe, they can be tools for traversing the map or solving puzzles?
Right now, once you acquire a new weapon, there is really no need
to go back to the previous ones. So my suggestion is that lets say you
start out with a shovel and you're beating baddies up with them. There
may be moments in the game where you need to go back to the shovel to dig
something up?
You can use pixie axes as weapons but maybe you need them to climb up walls
that your double jump can't reach. I think it would be cool to make use of these items
you gather other than for combat.
Those sound like some nice refinements for a potential sequel. The developer has laid a great foundation for a franchise here. Wouldn't it be great to see even more of Pumpkin Jack?

He has a good thing going.
I wouldn't be surprised if a big company buys the IP from him.
I think he should consider hiring some help though.
Mostly with the coding, control mechanics, and programming.
Of course he would lead all the game direction, writing, character development, graphics, level design, etc.
I could really see this IP on mobile games and I think he should also consider
producing an animated movie.
Glad to hear it’s good, was excited from the trailers. Wonder how well it’s optimized on switch
Awesome Umbra! Hopefully the Switch port is just as fun.
Im so glad you said it reminded you of MediEvil! Thas the only reason i even looked at this game on Xbox and i wish i could get it.
No problem at all Planet Gameroid thanks so much for watching!
@@IDreamofIndie bless you! 😊🤗
Completly agree wiht everyhing you said, also your voise is very soothing, perfect for my sleep deprivation =)
Thanks 😊 appreciate you checking out the video
I just finished the game and loved it. I recommend it highly and think PC is probably the best place to play it since you get Nvidia raytracing if you have the hardware for it.
I played with 16 gigs of ram, i7-4790 and an RTX 2060S. I had one horse level stutter but a game re-start fixed it. In general the game looks amazing and plays great. I hope we get a follow up to this game in the future. This would make a great franchise.
That's wonderful to hear Elven Ranger. When we streamed the game the Ray Tracing feature was working much better so it seems like they are ironing things out. The game is so much fun!
I Like Playing This Game , It Remind me of some of The Ps2 Games like Maximo it has The same kind of Game play (Childhood Games What a good Times).
Looks fabulous. Very curious how the Switch port turns out.
Hopefully it comes out great!
A good game for Halloween 🎃
Great timing on the release date!
Think the only thing missing is a quick comparison of RT on and off.
Good call! Will keep this in mind the next game with RTX features we cover.
Why does no one ever mention GOG? It's on GOG today too.
The description box mentions GOG twice with a link to purchase.
@@IDreamofIndie I meant you didn't say GOG in the video.
I'm glad this turned out well.
Finally a great game for Halloween!
I can't get myself to pay for it. I've seen other reviews that says 3 maybe 4hrs of gameplay. Beat game once then no other reason to pick it up again is what I'm seeing. Unless there is something these reviews aren't telling us, it looks like there is no replayabilty at all. I feel like 8 hr campaigns are very short so this to me feels sounds like it's part one of a series at which point should be $8 to $10 on Steam. Is there a nightmare mode at least?
The replay value comes with trying to collect everything, though you can do that on a single playthrough to be fair. It will take you around 7 to 8 hours to do so if that's your goal. But if you are just trying to get through the levels you might be able to do that pretty quickly depending on your skill level.
I totally get your thinking when it comes to cost effectiveness.
The way I look at it is that one person developed the game just like the Falconeer.
It's refreshing to me to not have to deal with the big game dev crap us consumers have been getting past few years. As long as the game is fun, I think I can give a pass on the running time to beat it.
Switch, Steam, etc run sales all the time, be on the lookout for that. I want to support the game because if the demand is there, I think the next chapter will have much longer running time as you prefer.
Reminds me of MediEvil.
Definitely Kenny! That seems to be the obvious comparison here. And not a bad game to be compared to.
The game could be much much better but its good
Glad to hear you are enjoying it!
its kind of got a forkknife aesthetic but looks really polished overall. kind of surprised no VA. great review ss.
Thanks Peter! See you for the stream hopefully!
You definitely missed the mark on this one... the graphics are a pastel smooth finish, fortnite is way different than this game graphics wise and fortnite is trash too.
I swear all those indi game use all the same engin and asset. "Dauntless art style" are over use imo.
