Oof -- this looked like it could've been really decent as well, but you lost me at "insufferable characters" -- that would absolutely break a game like this. Lual definitely looks like the type of person who brings an acoustic guitar to a house party
Wouldn't stay stellar.. But they are better than "avoid entirely". Considering it's trying something new, even if it didn't come togethet, the review does seem a bit harsh. I would love to play something like this if it had a decent story
Its an interesting concept but fun fact: "This War of Mine" did this concept before albeit in more of a survival management focus than a relaxed cozy approach.

I enjoyed the demo but found the clashing ! moments really frustrating. If only the game had some kind of replay system for important moments. I might be able to forgive that but hearing that the ending is a let down is enough for me to pass for now.
This had interested me with the setting and story but it sounds like the execution has been a bit poor on this occasion. Always a shame when you can see the vision the team were going for somewhere in there. Lots of other things to play through at the moment so think this is unfortunately something that may end up getting picked up on a sale or never. 😢 Thanks for the review. Are you new to the channel? Totally respect different opinions but this is the first time an "I dream" review has seemed to be massively at odds with the rest of the review community. I was turned off to this game following this review but an 88% on opencritic, and the same recommendations, means it is currently "Mighty", vs not only not a genie lamp awarded but the Krampus coming out. Its gone back on my wishlist and hasnt been totally written off now 😢
Totally fair, I hope you get more out of it than I did! I really didn't enjoy my time with the game, sadly. I just couldn't connect with it and I personally believe that the point of a game like this is that connection I missed out on.

Ma3 has more passionate voice acting....pfft lol. Look up Wicked Wizard for that "Gem" of a game lol.
