Well I speak Russian and I don't think it was actually pretty good. It wasn't a really heavy accent and quite enjoyable. My mom's accent sounds similar, so I'm glad that they did it this way

when i say i like dubs most people assume it’s like the og sailor moon dub, but this sums up pretty much every dub i’ve seen. the actors just sound like they’re having the time of their lives in the booth and don’t take anything too seriously when they dont need to which makes it 10000x funnier.

That's a good thing for the more light-hearted or comedic shows - it really kicks them up a notch. But I hate it for the shows that are meant to approach serious and/or sensitive subjects, or shows that have a bit more gravity in general. That's why, even though the YOI dub is great for memeing, I 100% prefer the sub when it comes to actually watching the story. I just can't take the dub seriously

@@incogneshwari Yuuri in the sub has more depth and there's more to his character. He also has this sassy and at times confident side that is portrayed in the Dub but he's softer. If you read fanfiction you can often tell if the author watched the original or not. Also some of the things Dub!Yuuri says would never be said like this by Sub!Yuuri (for example in his interaction with Yurio when he demands to stay in the Onsen in Viktors room). Dub!Yuuri is way too americanised for my taste.
