Savvas Adamou you don't know the real story, mate. The assassin was in the parade where the king and queen were there in their car, the car was moving slowly, he threw a bomb to assassinate both of them, but he missed, then the assassin was caught by the authorities. Minutes later, he escaped from them. Seeing this the driver calculated that it's better to take an unpredictable/unusual way to reach the destination since the king is being targeted, but that assassin predicted wrongly and ended up correctly at the correct time, there he shot both of them which lead to WWI, WWII

@David Still Several of the early cases had visited Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market and so the virus is thought to have a zoonotic origin. The virus that caused the outbreak is known as SARS‐CoV‐2, a newly discovered virus closely related to bat coronaviruses, pangolin coronaviruses, and SARS-CoV.
The scientific consensus is that COVID-19 has a natural origin. The probable bat-to-human infection may have been among people processing bat carcasses and guano in the production of traditional Chinese medicines.

Life's just random chance. I can recall a moment in my life whilst walking down the street I decided to do a a U turn. It resulted in me meeting a person that diverted my life to me leaving home at 17 meeting many other people and moving to a different area. If I didn't turn back down that street, it's 's impossible to say what my life would be like, what other people I would meet. Even the tiniest of choices, affect the lives of countless others.

I've read a stort from Reddit on a sub called r/Makemycoffin where users post videos / pics of recorded people dying (usually by accidents or murder) and a top post (or a pinned post, i forgot) had a user mentioning that this sub had saved his life, as one day he was driving and then on a traffic light, he was about to cross the green light immediately but he suddenly thought of the subreddit. So, he slowed down his car to check for any speeding cars before crossing, and guess what? A car literally swooshed past him at 100kph which would crash (and kill) him hadn't he stopped for a second.

Me and my brother was discussing this a week ago.
Our mother told us about a doctor who was going home from work one day and got killed by a falling tree.
I was like "Imagine if he was just 20 second early or late, he would have lived." So me and my brother started talking about what could have led to that moment.
My brother said that for example, he could have been there at that exact spot just because he was 5 minutes late for school one day. Imagine, the alarm clock doesn't ring and you wake up late and you start walking to school, as you are walking to school you get to see some paramedics in action as they are saving someone or taking someone to the hospital. This might inspire you to become a doctor when you grow up so if you weren't 5-10 minutes late you would not have seen that and you would have been on your merry way instead of being inspired.
He started going something he loved because of one day that he was late for school maybe.
Just think of all the things that needed to happend just for you to be born, or the things that happend that put you were you are now in life. Mindblowing.

If Hitler had to fix his shoelace before doing one of his great speeches, nothing major would change. If he didn't betray the USSR before maybe taking over Britain, boy you can only imagine. Decisions themselves though would have a big effect, as well as arguable different major events. However I do remain sceptical.

I believe in the butterfly effect strongly. When I was 11 I was sat in class chewing, chewing gum and offered some to someone sat next to me (never spoken to her before) to encourage her not to tell the teacher on me. If it wasn’t for that one conversation my life would be completely different. That was 8 years ago. It’s hard to imagine what my life would be like without that one conversation. Thanks to her I met all the people who are now important in my life and has been for the years. She has even changed my family life and my course in education. It’s easy to fall in with the wrong people in school but I didn’t because of her, which caused me to advanced far and get the job I have now. So if it wasn’t for one conversation my life would be completely different.

The last one about Ferdinand is wrong. Millitary technology was improving crazy fast and oil had just been discovered. The European powers was eager to go to war with each other. The assassination was just a blame for Austria-Hungary to declare war on Serbia. By doing so, set off a chain reaction in Europe, starting World War I. If the assassination never happened, something else would have been the blame for the war to begin.

Not certain of this .....His name was Fleming, and he was a poor Scottish farmer. One day, while trying to eke out a living for his family, he heard a cry for help coming from a nearby bog. He dropped his tools and ran to the bog. There, mired to his waist in black muck, was a terrified boy, screaming and struggling to free himself. Farmer Fleming saved the lad from what could have been a slow and terrifying death. The next day, a fancy carriage pulled up to the Scotsman’s sparse surroundings. An elegantly dressed nobleman stepped out and introduced himself as the father of the boy Farmer Fleming had saved. “I want to repay you,” said the nobleman. “You saved my son’s life.” “No, I can’t accept payment for what I did,” the Scottish farmer replied, waving off the offer. At that moment, the farmer’s own son came to the door of the family hovel. “Is that your son?” the nobleman asked. “Yes,” the farmer replied proudly. “I’ll make you a deal. Let me take him and give him a good education. If the lad is anything like his father, he’ll grow to a man you can be proud of.” And that he did. In time, Farmer Fleming’s son graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital Medical School in London and went on to become known throughout the world as the noted Sir Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of Penicillin. Years afterward, the nobleman’s son was stricken with pneumonia. What saved him?? Penicillin. The name of the nobleman? Lord Randolph Churchill. His son’s name? Sir Winston Churchill. Someone once said what goes around comes around.

She was not enjoying herself and later told me she would never have visited again after that night. I had one chance. I had one 15 minute window to grab that coffee. We ended up being together for 20 years and built up much more wealth than I would have been able to achieve on my own. It'd a damn shame he got sent away- in the same military fashion they fled Cuba to get away from. • @LouBrikanT
      @LouBrikanT 6 років тому +1

I don't mean to add to the confusion. Maybe it's a Mandela Effect, but Elian Gonzalez (the cuban boy), was here in Miami at his Uncle's house in little Havana. Actually the 2 grandmothers were allowed to come to the USA to perform some (Santeria ritual)...attempt to convince his uncle to let the kid go back to his father who was in Cuba. Of course all this was orchestrated for political reasons since the late Fidel Castro was extremely superstitious. There's a legend (in their culture) that said that their government would fail with "The boy that came from the ocean" as a sign. Actually after the events were 2 "telenovelas" made with that name. So, no foster parents, and everyone in the Cuban community here in Miami knew that the whole story about the kid being saved by dolphins after his mother was eaten by sharks was bullshit, because there was no proof of anything, and the boy was miraculously found by his family in Miami, while the other part of his family lives in California. (Kind of convenient to hide the mother with the hope to be reunited later with his son), but because everyone knows the tale of "The boy...and the ocean", the cubans also took it as a sign. The whole thing spread like a wild fire ,and it got out of hand. There is where i see a butterfly effect.

    • @LouBrikanT

WW1 would've still happened. Austria wanted any reason to fight Serbia. That was unavoidable.
If none of that happened, Britain may've still went to war with Germany, because Britain is always afraid of German hegemony.
If not that, then maybe Britain would've fought Russia over Central Asia (See _The Great Game_ ).
Butterfly effect doesn't mean certain things would never happen or never exist. To me, it just means the events would happen at different times for different reasons.
Hell, maybe Europe would've been in a perpetual state of war for totally different reasons, but maybe that would've happened more recently with deadlier technology.

In that scenario, the UK may have interestingly sided with Germany, but likely remained uninvolved.
The UK actually had severe geopolitical concerns against Russia (Dardanelles, Suez Canal, Persia). If the UK had not declared war on Germany, Germany would have no reason to harm the UK (or Denmark & Norway for that matter).
In fact, after the allies gained momentum following D-Day, Britain and America discussed plans to invade Russia. They even planned to re-arm a defeated Nazi Germany as an ally against Russia.

The argument of "had this not happened, had that not happened" is flawed - the assumption is that a similar event would not have happened. In actuality, a similar event most likely would have happened. If the Wright brothers had not flown "first", someone else would have. If Fleming had not uncovered the properties of Penicillin, someone else would have. If Ferdinand had not been assassinated when he was, then it might have been later that day, the next or the next.
Einstein's deterministic view is not flawed or discounted by modern quantum mechanics. The "particle has no location at any time" idea is just misconstrued - the current way to observe particles causes them to move, therefore, we cannot ever know the true location.

@Matthew Seader, that's not how the uncertainty principle works I'm afraid, it's cause however is due to wave-mechanics, in sound-wave analysis spikes of sound follow a similar time-frequency "uncertainty principle".

It targets specific traumatic memories & allows the brain to process the trauma.
      No medication is involved...
Its available on the NHS if you are in Britain ...
