There is a slight chase mechanic btw. You gain speed when chasing someone.
I guess the slight is so 'slight' he didn't even realize there was lol
Just began the game and I’m really good at it already , the chase mechanics is really useful
and use your dash to your advantage i turn around as a guardian and do the backdash to catch healers
I m addicted to it veteran For Honor and chivalry player so a Game that blends the concepts of those two into one is definitively something I love.
Played the tutorial in the beta, no further... never had the time to do so.

I wanted to correct something on your review about if someone is running from you, you can’t hit them. I know blade and spike have a sprint and you can do mouse scroll attack to lunch yourself and hit them while chasing.
The tooltips say that there is a chase mechanic, but I did not notice it when chasing down a Smoke as Hush for 15 seconds
Another plus is that the battlepass lasts for 3 months, so you have time to finish it AND if you end up finishing it you get more coins than you spent for the pass. 450 to be exact. It's the "good" bp system, where you can always get a new one for "free" as a dedicated player
You forgot to mention that you can only get 100k battle pass XP per week and 150k if you buy the battle pass.

I'm glad there are perks. Just like in Battlefield, players that have been around have access to more options. Gives new players something to chase. PVP for the sake of PVP and cosmetics only goes so far.
I think warhaven needs to implement armor pieces for purchase made with in game currency, have it be basic looking but still good. and the premium stuff can look crazy

There is a slight accel and drag mechanic in the game. It's not super imposing like Mordhau, but it's there
Definitely will check it out when it comes out on xbox

Can't really trust Nexon after what they did to Vindictus. It'll be great in the beginning until they start ignoring player concerns and allow their games to slowly bleed to death.

Eventually they'll all become pay to win and fall into a loop with less content expansions and more focus on microtransaction sales in the cash shop. Within 5 years after official launch, most free to play MMO's lose over half of their entire player population.

really digging the game so far, its pretty solid, I hope they Follow the Teamfotress2 hero LOadout model VS Overwatchs ever expanding hero list(which destroyed the game in my opinion) first thing they need though is a cross hairs selector, the dim white cross hair is hard to see, and I found myself missing alot of attacks cuz of this, otherwise excited to see where it goes
Ow too much char roster really break the game but players need more for content progression but i agree with you now imagine if there is a range character like an archer, now that game breaking. cause everyone will go archer im thinking of limiting the arrows of archer class if they implement it either way

The game is great visually, but your example of rock paper scissors for combat is quite wrong, I have learned from playing for acouple hours is that the best option is to swing mindlessly at your enemies, as long as you swing first and actually land the attack. the enemy cant stop you, not even block can save you, because of something called "trauma", get hit too much while blocking, and you get guard broken/stunned. There is no way to stop someone who is already swinging when you are alone, the solution for this is to buff superior blocks. Superior blocks rn kinda suck ass, they dont exactly do anything in your favor and even when I superior block 4 different attacks consecutively, I still get guard broken. They say that the enemy gets stunned periodically, but thats BULLSHIT, because they still keep swinging like nothing happened.
I could keep rambling about how the combat system pisses me off, but I think you get my point.
Game is NOT for me, but if this sounds good for you, have at it!

I just started to play this game and well at the beginning it can be seen as a bad For Honor iteration (I'm a big fan of For Honor), but after some games u start to realize that this game isn't meant to be a For Honor 2.0. Even if I have to admit that a lock-on target system in it's core fighting gameplay might be / is needed (because it can be hard sometimes to know if an attack is gonna hit you or not, or to just see something when there is a lot of enemies on screen and that you can't clearly see who is attacking you or not) the game still play kinda well. The ONE big problem in my opinion is the visibility (environment / enemies) (as said previously).
Not sure if anyone has said anything about it but it also reminds me of Dynasty Warriors. Other than the medieval part of course.

Feint beats blocks, blocks beat attacks, attacks beat feints. The only thing missing is different inner/class combinations with different attack sets but this game is what i have been looking for for a long time lol
There’s is litteraly no depth at all in term of gameplay the skill ceiling is non existent you’re gonna be massively disappointed
Age of Wushu definitely wasn't the first game to do that type of combat system. Mabinogi had Normal beats Smash, Smash beats defense, Defense beats Normal.
Chivalry 2 and Mordhau have that gameplay.
@@nuffsed1459FPS have low skill ceiling too and people still love them. Not every melee fighter needs to be a sweat feast where no lifers run around stomping everyone. Tons of casual player enjoy a lower skill ceiling where they are on a more even playing field.
This game looks like there’s still skills you’ll need to learn. Positioning/timing/coordination/situational awareness, and then you’ll need to have good reaction time/aim on top. Still looks fun to me, actually looks refreshingly simple. We already have more than enough melees with high skill ceilings, nice to have a more simplistic one.
It is decent but in my recent opinion the lag from Canada has been unplayable for several weeks for Me. If it is not fixed for console release I myself will be moving back to chiv 2 or mordhau. Most frustrating to hear the devs being silent
Hmm, I see they dropped the archer class… I was hoping to see it accuracy and viability
I must disagree, one transformation on a timer without any requirement to transform is just random and unrewarding. Would be better if it was maybe bound to killstreaks or an ultimate charge.
Yeah, my main point was that the overall reduction in immortal time was a good choice. I agree that it would be better if it was somehow linked to how well you do in a game.

I see where you're going with this but the system as It is now I think is perfect. Yes your opponent can instantly transform into an immortal at the start but you can too(or save it for lategame and/or sticky situations with a lot of enemies). In my opinion It adds some refreshment and decision making

It looks really interesting.
Game is a fun cake if you ignore the Nexon sprinkles. Worried about player retention, like most f2p games keeping people interested & playing is always the issue. Having played a good amount of hours I think I've fought you in 3 out of 5 matches every other day, The community is definitely small.
I just noticed in the video that I played with or against all of the people he played with😂

Certain charachter like spike and warhammer have feign attacks and people call it similar to for honor due to the rps system and probably mostly due to the fact that guard breaks are practically the same thing in both games💀

I think For Honor has more skill combat gameplay than Warhaven. I expected Warhaven to have counter attack like For Honor but it doesn't and that makes 1v3 difficult.

honestly i love the ideas of this game but god to me the controls feels so awful. My character does not feel fluid at all and i feel like the skill floor is even lower than chivalry 2.
Looks a bit too fast paced for me. Also don't really dig the fantasy blend they went for.

The problem is that you simply cant win a 1v2 or more.. they simply spam attack and thats it.. Kinda boring and frustrating after a while. To win just group and spam attack
I have about 20-30h in the game so far and let me tell you buddy you can 1v2 if you play It smart especially because people spam attacks when they see you're outnumbered.
I did It a couple of times and have been beaten In advantageous situations

8:40 I REALLY like perma upgrades because if I play for 500 hours and I'm at the same place statistic wise as a brand new player I would be annoyed.
Also to clarify I've never llayedd this game before and probably cant because of my potato internet. When I have real internet tho I'm playing the hell outta this.
