    I made a jumbo turtle for my niece. It was massive! I used a 20mm hook. And I couldn't tell you how many skiens of yarn I used. It literally takes up her whole twin sized bed. I'll tag you on Instagram. 😊

    As crocheters we get it. Even while I crochet I have an internal conversation much like you have vocalized. I love it as it helps me to learn this craft. I usually error on getting too much yarn as I hate cutting it close. Never hurts as I may find another use. Thank you for sharing.

    to help your muscles i recommend using compression gloves or sleeves. if those are uncomfortable then kt tape or any other brand of kinesiology tape works well with relieving stress and aiding mobility. i crochet a lot at times and found it to be very helpful to use either when crocheting

    Love all the work you create but also share with us! Hair dresser here. When my wrists (knees, lower back and neck) ache, sometimes the cream “Voltaren” helps. I’m in Canada so may be a different name. The active ingredient in it is “Diclofenac”. It helps immensely… with proper breaks and stretching!
    I’ve also been crocheting quite a bit. I’ve found larger handles on my hooks also helps a lot! Cheers! ❤️❤️❤️

    You are such a sweetheart but you seem very smart… Always have client pay for shipping or included the shipping in the final price you give clients. Also always buy at least two extra of what you think you are going to use . If you don’t use them that’s part of your profit. Keep up the good work I see you going far in life….😊❤❤❤

    Thank u for such a great tutorial!! Just as a recommendation: to avoid the cone-shape for spheres (the head and shell), start with a MR of 8sc, then 8 inc, then 1 sc 1 inc x 6, and then u continue as normal with 5sc +1 inc x 6.... game changer!!

    • @tatat7820
      @tatat7820 4 місяці тому

      Thank you for your help

    • @rosenbergbenadretti
      @rosenbergbenadretti 4 місяці тому +1

      Sorry! It's
      MR 8sc
      inc x 8sc
      (1sc 1inc) x 8
      skip Round 4 and jump to Round 5 and continue the same: (3sc, Inc) x 6

    I made this with free yarn I got and was just starting crocheting literally my 2nd project, I ran out of yarn so I ended up using Red yarn for head and tail and pink for the rest as well as mixed grey pink white yarn for shell, I wanted to redo it in pink to match the rest and finally today I decided to get it over with, when I first made it, I messed up counting, rows etc and it took nearly 3-3:30 hours just for head and tail, I finished both head and tail in just a shy of 2 hours today and never been more proud, now it’s waiting until I get home to put it all together

    • @crochetbygenna
      @crochetbygenna  Рік тому +2

      To be honest, probably like…a pound and a half worth?? The turtle weighed like 5 pounds in total so after you take out the weigh of the yarn itself and the head, I feel like it was around a pound and a half of stuffing (24oz) lol, especially if you want to get it really full!

    You could always vacuum seal to ship. I know it's not the presentation you would like, but everything will go to form once they open the plastic. I do this when I travel.
