Amazing to see. Thank you to you, your family, and your team for doing the hard, messy work thats needed to keep our grocery stores stocked and our loved ones fed.
I love the "Louder then your girlfriend" sticker. Nobody can say your cows aren't loved when the help is locking lips with them. Haha That was a great video Andy.
Great video Andy. Nice to see how things work inside the barns. One thing always stands out, there is never a shortage of work to be done on a farm. Cheers.... looking forward to the brake change video too.
Andy, Kubota SSV 65 has 3 different part numbers for the fuel cap. They don’t sell the gasket separate, you probably have a gasket in the shop that would fit. If you want new, $14 and some change. 68701-51120 $14.08 V1311-51120 $14.45 V1311-51122 $14.08
Thanks for the ride along Andy, that manure vac beats the hell out of using a skid steer. LOL on the bumper sticker. Jason working on 💩 pump 🚬 , doing the job 👍
Always enjoy watching , have a large Dairy in our neck of the Woods it’s just South of Alger , Ohio. They use a 100 position Wheel to do the milking they were around 4600 head. But I believe from what I heard at the local coffee shop that the milking wheel is due to be rebuilt. So they are installing a new 50 Place wheel to run the operation while they get the 100 rebuild then once that’s done they say they are looking at increasing to 5500 head . Great content as always.
just when i think i have seen every piece of equip under the sun on your place POW ! you come out with a cool video of something else , never seen a Mersch before , great vid Andy keep em coming
Andy we have had great luck with the kubota stuff so far we are on our 3rd kubota skidsteer and none have given us any trouble other then the fuel cap and neck started rusting and we replaced that
I just found your channel about 2 weeks ago really enjoying it so far. Looks like you got pretty big operation going and I'm guessing you're pretty good to work for cause you actually have a sense of humor
It is good to see the boss get to do boss stuff walk around the shop and keep things in order lol Andy I believe that you have taught them well I think that you have a good crew that machine sure pushes a lot of crap have a good one.
Nice video, how many water wells are on your guys farm? Neighbor bellow me has 3, if I remember 200 feet deep. They used to milk 60 head. I could not imagine how many gallons they all drink in one day. Especially how hot it’s been we need rain bad in central PA!!!
Wow I’m surprised it runs a roots style pump like that. They run such tight tolerances, I would think any manure that got into it would stop it. They will move some serious cfms with pressure too.
Andy, you got an awesome facility. A lot of money slipping through your figures in your shop. That's what you have to do to keep your equipment in top condition. That vack truck is pretty slick. Opproximently how much will the tank carry? Great vid as always keep them coming. Be safe!!
On our irrigation pump it uses the same coupler. On our pump it I s for the alignment. You can get it perfect and the coupler allows it flex enough without vibration
That is a different way of cleaning muck from cow shed, not seen one like that before. In farming there are all kinds of weird and wonderful machines to do jobs around the place. Those engineers have some creative ideas!
Andy I saw a video awhile back and they had a attachment like a vplow for the skidloader for pushing hay or feed closer to the cows in the alleyways. Heck you could probably make one !
Holy crapola, that squeegee and vac truck works a whole lot better than the scoop shovel and wheelbarrow I used as a kid on the farm. It appears you produce a lot of manure and milk is a byproduct.
Wasn't that dodge P/U in the shop the same truck that belongs to Andrew's Mom? Is it in for repairs? & how is it Andrew did not get himself included in the video?
The circle of farming... ice cream , milk, cheese , yogurt... it’s all poop in the end..... need smell o vision...... I like it.... the work continues ! Now drain the lagoons...
Please let me know what you find out on the fuel leak issue on the skidsteer. My boss has a 65 and a 75 and the 65 always has fuel everywhere. I thought it was just someone spilled it when filling but idk. Very good machines but the only thing my boss doesn't like is availability for parts. Lucky enough the 75 has just needed a hydraulic hose or 2 for the attachment connect and disconnect. Otherwise just maintenance and the 75 has almost 3000 hours the 65 only about 1000
How often to have to wash or clean out that vac tank? Surely any residue left over manure would begin to eat out the tank? I've heard of the vac tanks, a bit different than the "honey bee" trucks that clean out septic tanks but, principle is still the same. Great video, cheers :)
I don't dairy farm any more ,but I never liked sand for beding. Very hard on equipment and bearings. We had cemented free stalls and used chopped corn stalks. Would run them through the forage harvester.
Saw dust is easier to handle but tends to be more expensive. sand is the best bedding for cows because it’s non organic and therefore completely inert so you don’t get bugs like you do in organic bedding like sawdust of straw.
Seems like some sand would sure be good in the fields I see around here. Lots of clay. Put stuff in a garden for years, perlite, sawdust, peatmoss, woodchips, manure, fish heads and guts, way too much groceries. Don't know if our manure has sand in it. Some of the fields sure look better than others. Taking hay off what used to be a race track, have to take a look and see if they mixed sand in there, seems like it produces great alfalfa.
Quite the machine, I think they have a machine for everything nowadays and it isn't cheap on repairs right Andy ? How often do you clean the alleyways ?
Barn cleaning looks disgusting, but when I think back to my youth when I had to shovel it all up twice a day for 60 milk cows, this is just a heck of a lot better. Sit and ride, (although fixing that Vac truck didn't look like fun). Good video to see more work methods on the farm. tks
Whew! I can smell that stuff all the way from here! I used to work on a farm when I was younger and I know what regular manure is but that stuff is deeeeeeescusting! ..I'm curious about something. Pardon me if I sound stupid but has anyone ever considered using a vacuum evaporator to turn that manure into a dry solid form? Have a great day and thanks for the great video.
Amazing to see. Thank you to you, your family, and your team for doing the hard, messy work thats needed to keep our grocery stores stocked and our loved ones fed.
You are welcome
I love the "Louder then your girlfriend" sticker. Nobody can say your cows aren't loved when the help is locking lips with them. Haha That was a great video Andy.
Lol
Ubbb
Enjoy the Videos Andy.. Thank you, taking the time to share with us..👍🇺🇸
The opening brings to mind Cousin Eddie in front of Clark's house....'Shitters full..'
Just need the cigar and a polka playing!
😆 love the bumper sticker.
Hahaha! I guess it’s pretty loud!
Great video as always. Most people don't realize all the equipment repairs that occur daily to keep a farm operation going and the cost.
Great video Andy. Nice to see how things work inside the barns. One thing always stands out, there is never a shortage of work to be done on a farm. Cheers.... looking forward to the brake change video too.
Thanks Ed
Andy y’all have some wonderful employees.
You were right the sand is hard on the equipment. The milking station looked nice 👍
Gotta say Andy the bedding and vacuum trucks are pretty dam handy

When that things dumping sort of looks like what comes out of a politicians yap haha
It's exactly what comes out of a Demoncraps mouth !
@@augustreil with whats going on these days the craps on both sides.. and its being cleaned up... the swamps deaper then we thought.
Love your videos never know what to expect from one to the other
Great bumper sticker. That Mensch is really cool. Thanks for sharing!!
I'm kind of surprised how full the vac was. Those are long aisles in that barn. Great to see other sides of your operation.
great video andy and crew i could watch your videos all day, thanks for the video andy
This is so cool to watch. I know it hard, dirty work but has to be so satisfying to do what you guys do. That vacuum machine is slick.
Thanks for the ride along Andy, that manure vac beats the hell out of using a skid steer. LOL on the bumper sticker. Jason working on 💩 pump 🚬 , doing the job 👍

This is a job for Mike Rowe and “Dirtiest Jobs”.
especially if he had to climb into the inside of the tank
That vacuum saves a hell of a lot of work.
Thank you and the fells for making great video. Really enjoy watching them.
“Hey chucko, that doesn’t smell like mud”...
Liquid gold!
Now I've seen everything a vacuum for manure. Pretty slick
I never realized how big an operation you have. That’s a lot of manure!
The Smell of Prosperity.
Awesome machine thanks for the video
Love that RAM in the shop.
Good video boss. Always lots of irons in the fire. Thank you for sharing with us
That vac truck works pretty good. That bumper sticker looks good also!! Lol. Better than that fork I have to use on the pen pack calf pen we have!!!!
just when i think i have seen every piece of equip under the sun on your place POW ! you come out with a cool video of something else , never seen a Mersch before , great vid Andy keep em coming
I don't know how the farm keeps up with the volume of crap, but dang. Thanks for the great video Andy.
Great video. Very educational about your operation. Thanks.
Something I love about your video's is fixing things or clearing Shit , I feel that I'm with you doing it ,
the bit with the cowman was hilarious
Andy we have had great luck with the kubota stuff so far we are on our 3rd kubota skidsteer and none have given us any trouble other then the fuel cap and neck started rusting and we replaced that
We are glad to hear some of the prices of your fixing.
Do you try to clean it first or just grab sockets and jump in???
Depends
Great Video 👍. Tim from Wisconsin Dairyland
I just found your channel about 2 weeks ago really enjoying it so far. Looks like you got pretty big operation going and I'm guessing you're pretty good to work for cause you actually have a sense of humor
Most days
“Louder than your girlfriend “ how dare you lol 🇨🇦
It never ends. I don’t know how many guys are on the staff but you guys look after a pile ok work.
SIX GRAND for that. Isane. I'd be putting that in so you know it's for sure done and done.
It is good to see the boss get to do boss stuff walk around the shop and keep things in order lol Andy I believe that you have taught them well I think that you have a good crew that machine sure pushes a lot of crap have a good one.
I like that you tell us how much parts are for machines.. most people don’t know the cost of farming
Very interesting, Andy. Well done, great video!
Nice bumper sticker on the vac truck. What is your thoughts on handling manure that way vs alley scrapers or even tire scraper to a collection pit?
Alley scrappers are a lot handier
Hell of a machine. Thanks
That Skid steer is an unusual shade of green/yellow. Perhaps it got too close to the lagoon, fell in & when it was fished out, the color was altered?
Lol
That vac truck emptying out reminds me of my younger days of drinking a bunch of Budweiser and eating Taco Bell the morning after...
Ok , no food or drink when watching your videos. Lost my drink laughing at "Louder than your girlfriend last night "
I never realized how much of a dairy operation revolved around manure management. Talk about "Shit Happens"!
I believe that is a Duraflex coupler on the vac truck.
( Tim ? ) and the coarse sandpaper tongue , that was good !
Nice video, how many water wells are on your guys farm? Neighbor bellow me has 3, if I remember 200 feet deep. They used to milk 60 head. I could not imagine how many gallons they all drink in one day. Especially how hot it’s been we need rain bad in central PA!!!
3 springs and a couple wells
We need to start calling you Mr Fix it.
That manure truck would be great in Portland.
Wow I’m surprised it runs a roots style pump like that. They run such tight tolerances, I would think any manure that got into it would stop it. They will move some serious cfms with pressure too.
great video Andy do you flush the vac truck with water after the barn clean or no ?
No
Andy, you got an awesome facility. A lot of money slipping through your figures in your shop. That's what you have to do to keep your equipment in top condition. That vack truck is pretty slick. Opproximently how much will the tank carry? Great vid as always keep them coming. Be safe!!
3400 gallon
On our irrigation pump it uses the same coupler. On our pump it I s for the alignment. You can get it perfect and the coupler allows it flex enough without vibration
Andy how about a milking parlour tour some day
i have seen them vac trucks on those progressive dairy man books and we have a kubota skid steer has 1600 hours on it
Looks like the goat has been in the shop for a while based on how much dust is on the windshield
Ee
That is a different way of cleaning muck from cow shed, not seen one like that before. In farming there are all kinds of weird and wonderful machines to do jobs around the place. Those engineers have some creative ideas!
You have a seriously massive operation there how many head of cattle do you have total??
Andy I saw a video awhile back and they had a attachment like a vplow for the skidloader for pushing hay or feed closer to the cows in the alleyways. Heck you could probably make one !
We have one ,they we bucketing feed deviding it up
Yes Andy there is suppose to be an o ring there
What’s the advantage to the vac truck over alley scrapers is it not more expensive to run?
No advantage, other than we have no way of getting manure to a storage yet on that barn
Looks like a roots-type blower
Yes
Cool how it unloads!
great video. do you have seperate staff that handle the barn chores besides the guys that help with fieldwork?
Field work guys do the barn cleaning
Great video like your pens we need more barns pens and feedlots badly
The vac truck would definitely save time as opposed to tire scraping
Look in to the different types of pumps available in the septic pumping world. They have a rotoryvane type that may last longer.
You need a very high output vacuum pump for them because you’re sucking off the surface. vane pumps don’t keep up like the rotary lobe pumps do.
thanks for all the hard work,i just walk into byrne dairy for my milk wcn
Awesome
Holy crapola, that squeegee and vac truck works a whole lot better than the scoop shovel and wheelbarrow I used as a kid on the farm. It appears you produce a lot of manure and milk is a byproduct.
Yes
Wasn't that dodge P/U in the shop the same truck that belongs to Andrew's Mom? Is it in for repairs? & how is it Andrew did not get himself included in the video?
Needs a crank
The circle of farming... ice cream , milk, cheese , yogurt... it’s all poop in the end..... need smell o vision...... I like it.... the work continues ! Now drain the lagoons...
Neat 👍 alway wondered how you run the vac truck in the barn. Curious why you have different manure systems in different barns?
It's just the way it is
Do you have a backup Plan B if this machine is out of action for along time?
Buckets and shovels
@@FarmingFixingFabricating Ha Ha Been a pasture based dairy farmer all my life Retired now. Enjoy your videos.

@@FarmingFixingFabricating I appreciate it. Awesome videos by the way
Do you milk 2 or 3 times a day? Do they make more milk, or is it just better for the cows to do it 3 times vs 2?
3 times a day, more milk and better for the cows

We don't clean it out
The bumper sticker is classic.
Great work Andy Now the shit is taken care of.
I don't dairy farm any more ,but I never liked sand for beding. Very hard on equipment and bearings. We had cemented free stalls and used chopped corn stalks. Would run them through the forage harvester.
Yeah sand doesn't work well on concrete beds
Never seen one of those before, fascinating. Is that an every day job? Thanks. Jim.
Yes
Is that the only barn you have to vac out?
No we do 3 other barns with it
Thant Bumper sticker... classic lol
You should advertise for pool filling with that vac truck.
Mr Andy have you guys tried to bed your cows with sawdust? Just asking if it would be easier to deal with beside sand?
Saw dust is easier to handle but tends to be more expensive. sand is the best bedding for cows because it’s non organic and therefore completely inert so you don’t get bugs like you do in organic bedding like sawdust of straw.

How do you like the vac versus other automatic and flour sistoms??????
Alley scrapers are better
Quite the machine, I think they have a machine for everything nowadays and it isn't cheap on repairs right Andy ? How often do you clean the alleyways ?
Stall alley once and feed alley twice daily with Vac truck.milk cow barns are cleaned continuously
Was it the sand that caused that problems in the long run????
Sand and manure
And I thought I had a crappy day!!!
Barn cleaning looks disgusting, but when I think back to my youth when I had to shovel it all up twice a day for 60 milk cows, this is just a heck of a lot better. Sit and ride, (although fixing that Vac truck didn't look like fun).

You can get slurry separators which squeeze the liquid out of the slurry leaving a semi dry solid.
