- In this video, I provide a walkthrough on the research and technology part of this game, giving you my insights on what I believe to be the best route to take to make sure you succeed in this game. Something to keep in mind with this guide is that it's a good rough idea of what to follow. However, your research path will change and pivot based off whatever you have going on in your game. Always identify what is needed for your playthrough, and pivot to that need.

Thank you for this really precious information and piece of work. Even your review interludes are very important and help a lot to manifest the heard information.
Very well done! Thank you!
Thank you for saying this. It means a lot to me. :)
Awesome video man. I just started this game yesterday. After 3 tries I came to the conclusion I need to research metal scavenging first. Your video gave me clarity on that issue
Glad to hear this! You got this man :)
Thanks for the tips
Of course! Thanks for watching!
Opens mills and flour is a good trade commodity
Great point! Just very costly to get up and running.
Hey there, nice to see a recent vid on this.
Im thinking to get this on ps5, since I'm getting into building management games quite a bit now.
I started surviving mars and liking it. Well done game.
This game reviewed pretty poorly though, idk if it was improved since?
I read that u can't assign people to specific jobs etc like in surviving mars.. etc.
I’ve played both surviving mars and surviving the aftermath. You can assign people to specific buildings like in SM but the reviewers are probably referring to assigning people to gather food from food storage building or wood from a stockpile. While that is true, think of it similar to how an RC Commander in SM operated as a radius of work to do. The drones automatically did things in that radius. Those two buildings operate similarly except you choose the word area instead and colonists will go do it. But that applies to only those two buildings. Everything else you can assign people to.
@JaxRayne i see, tks a lot for the good info. Do u feel its worth it just as much as surviving mars?
Will probably try it on a good sale
@@jacquesjtheripper5922 I personally enjoy the game. I’ve put more hours into this game than surviving mars.
@@jacquesjtheripper5922 I'm on PS5 bro games a good yin! Dude My PS name is JockDaRippa haha Get the game its brilliant get the delux if its still on sale? no sure!
With metal scavenging researched, how do I get metal? The only way I can think of is trying to get lucky exploring the map bc my camp area doesn't have any metal nodes. Should I start a new game and hope to find metal nodes on the camp map or is there a way to get metal?
Have you used scout towers to explore the map a bit? On normal difficulty there should be plenty of metal scrap piles. If you’re unlucky then restart another game.
@@JaxRayne Oh okay, thank you
This game is crazy hard. On the ps version, it's tedious as well.
It can be very in-depth at times!
