molly fish are more resistant than guppies but they can live together, we guess your guppies are already sick when you buy them from the store, then you overfeed them for contaminated water, pathogens attacked the guppies and caused them to die. Our advice is that when buying guppies at the store, you should choose the ones that are strong, alert and show no signs of skin disease, and feed the fish very little so that they can get used to the new environment. good luck !

You should use salt for fish tanks combined with using a heater for the fish tank, fish tank salt and a temperature of about 29 degrees will cure white spot disease.
I bought 6 pairs and they were all good but suddenly some of them starting to gather in one place at the top of the tank and 3 females were lying on their belly at the very bottom then starter losing their fin color and dying . what to do I lost 4 of the koi carp guppies and the fire galaxy 2 pairs

Thanks for the info! Question: My water has tested perfectly and my tank is well cycled, so I am wondering if water softness is my problem. Tetras snd corys do well, but not guppies. My home uses clean well water , but we also have to use a water softener to raise the ph. Ph now is about 7.4, but is the water softener killing my guppies?

If they show signs of panic then they are stressed, if they seem tired lethargic then there may be a problem with the water in your tank, try changing the water by 50% and stop feeding for 1 or 2 days for further monitoring

Maybe when the temperature drops, your heater can't handle it, heat shock will cause mass deaths, you need to cover the fish tank to keep the temperature stable, thank you for watching.

The reason why a lot of guppies are fragile is because they have become too inbred. Even the mutt ones have ancestry from inbred breeds. The intentional inbreeding caused disadvantagous genes to become common.

Usually stress because you bought them from somewhere else. Alot of times, worms. Sometimes Ammonia or nitrite poisoning, or virus even.
