Fragrance notes are chemically bonded together in a solvent. It is scientifically impossible to destroy chemically bonded molecules by simply tapping your wrists together. If that were true then anytime you simply put on clothes or your jacket over a perfume (clothes rub against the skin) you’d be destroying your fragrance. It would take excessive rubbing (providing heat and friction) to even come close to something that could affect the perfume, and even then it would only be the top notes that may fade away quicker. The whole subject is super fascinating (if you’re a science nerd like me lol😂). It’s really interesting to read about. ❤

rubbing breaks down the notes quicker, changes the fragrance, and interferes with the longevity. hope this helps 💙
