i read an Amazon review that said he could solve the fan noise by opening the unit and modifying the vents to allow more air intake, he also mentioned he desoldered the buzzer (since he found the beeping annoying) and criticized the unit for not addresing that from manufacture, i personally don't have that unit since i diy a double conversion system with a big lifepo4 battery instead for my room but came to this video to see if it suited my brother setup, great video!
I read some reviews that the smell gets better in about a month or more. The person was told there were things burning off inside the unit with use. I imagine or hope since I have one of these that the smell will go away eventually. I placed near a window for now until it will air out. My PC system only uses about 170watts, so without power I can get about an hour of this unit, no APC I ever had gave that.
In my house growing up we had an AC unit that would pull too much power when it clicked on and this eventually killed my gaming PCs power supply. Ever since then I've used a UPS to keep the power stable. They save you a lot of headache.
It doesn't appear to be easily replaceable as everything is pretty sealed off. I wouldn't recommend attempting to do so either as you could risk breaking it or worst, injuring yourself. I will say from my experience that the fan has ramped up a lot less. I haven't noticed it for a while now.
On another note, you should get Eco Play to send you one of their Power Generators, it would be good to have an honest review of that unit. It is not a bad price for what you get.
The wattage number on the left is the amount of power the DC to AC inverter is using. The load that you see on the right is added to it. So the true battery load is the left number. Also the "heartbeat" is a depiction of a sine wave. The unit puts out a pure sine wave so delicate electronics can be used with the unit. I have one on order for my remote PC in my shop. I need a UPS that will not need frequent battery changes. The noise and beeping will not be an issue. The next model will likely fix the shortcomings. Goodbye AGM batteries!!!!
PLEASE get the title correct! This does not have a "Lithium ION" battery. The UPS has a "Lithium Iron Phosphate battery", which is a completely different Chemistry as compared to a Lithium Iron Phosphate battery.
Well, I did get the title correct. A Lithium Iron Phosphate battery is a type of Lithium Ion battery. Lithium Ion is a term to describe a subset of types. Here’s a source elements.visualcapitalist.com/the-six-major-types-of-lithium-ion-batteries/

I have been looking for a UPS that is loud, puts out odd smells and lacks plugs so this would be perfect. But you make great videos, keep it up.
Haha, savage. Glad you liked the video! Thank you.
I bought this unit and you are absolutely right.

Yikes, I would never do that. That's extermely dangerous to open these up and work inside them. The noise is def tolerable and infrequent.

Good to know the smell will dissappear. I figured it had to do with it being freshly new. An 1hr battery time is amazing!
Never heard of a UPS here in Australia so this was interesting!

Any updates on this? This is the only review I've seen that's really tested the performance of the UPS with >150W.
@@JoelKleppinger it’s been running great. The smell is completely gone and I don’t notice the fans ramping up near as often.
Good video
Thank you!
What about brown out, and voltage spike protection? Best video review on this device so far.
Yep, it'll compensate for those dips and spikes. Thanks! I'm glad you liked it.
Would you happen to know if the fan is easily replaceable? It being so loud seems like a big quality of life issue to have in a living space.

How is the fan noise compared to the cyber power?
It was a lot louder at first but now it rarely ever spins up.
Nice video!
Thank you!

That sounds like it'd be interesting. I'll reach out and see what they say. Thanks!

That's very helpful. Thanks! Congrats and I hope you enjoy it!
I really want to see its charge time from 0-80%
It takes over 15 hours. It's not fast at regen.
It appears the front face plate is sealed and there is no venting do my eyes decieve me?
The vents are really only visible looking at it from the side. There's some internal lights that you can spot inside too.
