This was the best episode of the season, in my opinion. It was so well-written.
I love you
This show was great at Don't show or tell but somehow still express what happened
Idk 5 was insane
.....and well acted.
The actress who played Death was Top Tier.
Desire wasn’t calling for Death, they were calling for a different sibling, their twin Despair.
The implication is that Hob just decided to buy/make a new tavern (while leaving a message in the ruins of the old one) in the hopes he would be able to see Dream again in the next 100 years or so.
Nah Gaiman said Hob was a history teacher, he was grading papers. He’s just always been a patron.

Talk about a unique perspective. It reminds me of the plot from the 2007 film "The Man From Earth". Outstanding movie.
@@Luciphell Love that movie.
Hob became a history teacher. Perfect job for him lol
The guy with the broken leg in the tavern was meant to be Kit Marlowe who was another great playwright of the time. He’s not as remembered now because Shakespeare eclipsed him in game and Shakespeare’s plays stood the test of time better.
"Death is a mug's game. I've got so much to live for." Hob Gadling, GOAT.
I laughed when you hinted at why do they gotta make Death black lol. Funny thing Tasha, is that in the comics Death is a goth pale white lady. Her look is super iconic. When this actress was cast, there was a bit of a backlash with people complaining about race swapping and all that. But then her performance was... perfect... And she literally shut everyone up.
I myself was dubious about the change and how it would go because Death is so so iconic in the comic world, but she completely won me over. Wouldn't change a thing at all for the risk of ruining what is one of the best episodes in television history for me.
Yeah, they did not butcher the role for the sake of diversity, Howell-Baptiste did an amazing job as Death
It's the "this close huh" 😂🤣
Tasha said. "What's the beef."
Yall Dream has a few siblings 😂🤣
Episode 5 and 6 both hit different 🔥🔥🔥
He owns the pub. He wanted to make sure he was there when Dream showed up.
How many times I've watched this eps? I'm still crying
Everyone misses Chaucer in the first pub scene, but they always get Shakespeare. The guy with the broken leg was Christopher 'Kit' Marlowe, and was considered the 'Shakespeare' of his generation. Even Lushing Lou was based on a real person. Meanwhile, Dream didn't originally miss his appointment, because he escaped in the 80s; bringing the show forward to the present changed that. Like most changes, I think they handled it well.
I suspect Hob would have to keep practicing every language to remain proficient in them, but I may think that because I accidentally learned Portuguese after Learning French, and I've been jumbling them together ever since. Also have to wonder what centuries of memories can do to brain...
One of the best episodes this year hands down
Favorite episode of the series hands down.
The "Prodigal" the referenced earlier in the episode if their other sibling, Destruction.
Hell yeah been waiting to see them finish this
Definitely my fav episode in this series
This episode broke then mended me. Such good writing. Very happy this got a second season!!!
Best episode of the season. So heartfelt.
This was my favorite episode. See you the next episode.
And btw Tasha, you were right! Hob became a history teacher! Haha, isn't that the perfect profession for him?
Sams FIRST response was to think of how his wife could get home safe.
This episode had me crying ugly tears. It was so good. One of the best episodes of television this year in my opinion. Thanks for the reaction!
Make sure to follow Tasha's TicToc channel!!

Love you guys. BTW are yall going to do a reaction to WEDNESDAY on Netflix.
That was my favorite episode
Episódio sensacional ❤
I think hob would have travelled, he just always had to come back to the same pub for his meetings with dream.
Seriously, everybody’s anxiety gets triggered by the baby. Oof.
THIS EPISODE........INDEED.
Are you guys going to finish My Name?
Did this video get reloaded?
21:42 yeah? Find space? Lol😂
