- Buckle up - we’re taking the NEW! Vaughn SLR4 Goalie Pads, the SLR4 glove and blocker AND the SLR4 chest protector out for a rip on the ice. I’ll give you my feedback on how these pads measure up to my trusty Warrior G6s and how they compare to the CCM and Bauer goalie pads I’ve used in the past.

Thank you for sharing your honest opinion on the SLR4 line. If you're ever wondering the glove you had is their stock 60 degree break, almost identical to a CCM/True 590 ;) Cheers !

@goalietraining You're welcome ! If you're still using your Warrior G4 the break should be very close to this SLR4. Lots of companies offer the 60 degree break, very popular one :)
Have you ever tried out Simmons goalie gear? They're a wholesale equipment company, so you get pro-level protection and quality without retail markup.
I have not tried them yet.

I use Bauer, can't have a straight opinion since I used my RBK's for a long time and my Vapors I've been using them for a couple of years now, I can't go to a pro shop without changing countries.

I love the Bauers and how they sit, they are a bit small, but the Bauer rep said that for my measure I could use a 34 or a 35 in a matter of preference but, since my bf is a bit on the narrow side I think a bit of of a bigger thigh rise could be beneficial.
Those Bauers would be a huge upgrade from the Reeboks - I bet they feel great!
