Hi Phil, Campsie was always a favourite place on the Bankstown line for me to visit. In my very young years back in the 1960s, I used to collect Matchbox Cars and there were several shops in Campsie selling some of the older models. Also, many of the shops themselves back then at Campsie still had the older designs and it felt like a trip into the past. As time passed, the shops changed and modernised. It is great to see that the station buildings there have been kept. Taking a train from Bankstown directly around the City Circle will no longer be possible once the Metro is there. Maybe you could do a videoed train trip while it is all still in operation. Just a thought anyway. I remember on rare occasions City Circle trains were diverted to the Harbour Bridge and instead of getting to Circular Quay, unsuspecting passengers would find themselves at Milsons Point.
