Hey Zoe! I'm a 24-year-old female and my hair is thinning as well. It's so hard to lose hair and stay confident, especially when women are expected by society to have thick, full hair. I currently use Febron hair fibers to cover some of the thinning areas (around the front of my hairline) and it works really well. I haven't been formally diagnosed because I cannot afford the massive doctor bills without insurance. I love that you're posting these videos because there are a lot of us women suffering from this and it's nice to find support through your channel. You're beautiful inside and out! Thanks, girl. ❤

Long hair doesn't make a girl/Woman beautiful. A lot of girls look beautiful w/o hair, you just need the confidence to rock really short hair/bald head. Just look on Google, girls with bald heads, images. I know to some girls its a HUGE deal. ❤️

I’m actually glad to hear someone else mentioning the insane doctor’s bills and not having insurance because it’s not that easy to have! Every day I get messages telling me to go to specialists and drs like.. you must live somewhere else because it’s not that simple here😓
so I can relate! I’m so glad you’re benefiting from the support network on this channel - there are some really amazing women on here!🥺♥️🙏🏽✨

You don't need a doctor, a dermatologist, at least. They all say it's androgenetic alopecia and give you hormones and Minoxidil.
Maybe you could see a normal doctor to see your iron levels and hormone levels to see if it has something to do with it

Same here. Im 24. Hair has been thinning all over . It started out with the parting but now its all over. I always use the same high bun because I feel insecure leaving it down. I have so little hair 😥. If I do decide to leave it down I use hair toppik fibers to cover the bald spots...ughh and yes the doctor is so expensive 😪

check your ferritin level, range (15-110), but for healthy hair it must be 80.

I started loosing my hair drastically back in 2018 and it’s never “bounced back” only has gotten worse. I think this community of people who are experiencing this is so underrated. Although I wouldn’t wish hair loss on ANYONE it’s the fact that there are people who can freely express concerns, recommendations, and just positive vibes is so comforting and amazing. ❤️ appreciate you and all that you do ❤️

Thank you for this. My hair started thinning at the age of 21 and now I'm 30. It was hard because I always loved my hair and people always commented on how nice it was. I had become really self conscious about it ever since it started falling out. In the past few years, I realized it affects so many women and yet we don't have enough people taking about it because it's something we feel ashamed of. I appreciate you really making a conversation out of it and making so many of us feel less alone in the struggle. I've never looked into hair toppers before, but I think that would make me feel a lot more confident, especially with the hopes of getting married in a few months. I'd like to feel beautiful on that day.

I literally love you, my hair has always been thin but dramatically thinning since 2017 and i'm having a hard time controlling/preventing it from getting worst. But if quarantine has taught me anything, it's self love. I've learned to love myself and my flaws, and I pray all women do. I've noticed it really hasn't made as big of an impact on me since I recently have grown so much more confidence in myself. I also learned it's better to talk about it! Before I was so self conscience when anyone brought up hair I automatically felt uncomfortable, but now I talk about it easily because you're right! Who gives a shit 😂❤️

What I love about you is that you present as both wise and vulnerable, which is very endearing and makes me drawn to you.
I think it also has something to do with your so called "imperfections" and the bullying you mentioned, both of which I can personally relate to, which gives one a different perspective on life compared to someone who society considers "perfect" and who is often fawned over.
Those people tend to be less self aware and less understanding of not only of themselves but also the world that they live in because they never felt the need to interrogate themselves or the world around them. I mean why? They're "perfect" right?
And this results in superficial people who have never developed the skill of introspection. And if you don't develop that as early as possible in your life, once your perfection disappears, you're lost.
The fact that you have developed this at such a young age, much younger than I was, shows great intelligence on your part and is something to cherish.
And the fact that you wear make up or disguise your thinning doesn't make you a hypocrite. As you said, it's how you feel comfortable in presenting yourself. And I'm also sure that there are certain lengths that you would refuse to go to in order to fix any "imperfections" because you have a limit in how much power you give to others.
That is true character, as opposed to those that will stop at nothing to achieve "perfection."

Hey Zoe. Did you visit a dermatologist/trichologist for a definitive diagnosis regarding your hair issues? You've probably researched the topic thoroughly but I would like to remind you about your alternatives given your hair loss is not related to telogen effluvium or nutritional deficiencies, PCOS.
Minoxidil or anti-androgens like Spironolactone. Oral contraceptives who all are anti-androgenic to some degree as they function by reducing production of androgens by the ovaries. There are many possibilities, but in the end the only thing that matters is your well being, both physical and mental. I somehow find it hard to understand the "just shave it " mentality or just accept it without treating it. I mean a person with Psoriasis wouldn't probably just accept his/her fate without trying some treatment. Anyways, I think you are doing a great service to young girls with hairloss issues by truthfully showing the reality and struggles it brings. Good job, u are one brave girl!

Have you ever had your Iron and ferritin checked? Most women have low amounts, also low Vit D and low B-12. Getting your blood levels checked is a great place to start. Iron should be over 100 and ferritin needs to be at 70-150 for hair to grow back! Mine was 11 and after 6 months of iron supplements it's only reached 28, so no new hair growth yet... Definitely get a baseline!!!

I started losing a lot of hair 2019, 2020 the front of my hair was almost gone. In December of 2020 I ordered sugarbear vitamins, as of now there is a big difference. I suffered with thin hair last year badly until I shaved my head. It was getting to the point it was depressing me. So I done something about it. I grew my beard and shaved my head. I have the same prob of hair loss recently and I bought it. I heard good stuff about it all. Indian women have really thick hair because they use it + oil and massage their head! Hopefully it will work for me too! If all else fails...I will get micropigmentation done.

Thank you for sharing & raising awareness. My hair loss started in my early twenties & I just got it under control in my late thirties so never lose hope!! I was diagnosed with female pattern hair loss, low ferritin & low vitamin d. What worked for me under 6 months is as follows- I wish I knew this sooner & hope it helps you & others. 1. Rogaine 5% foam absolute hair saver & if you do only one thing then it has to be this as it’s the single most effective 2. Biotin 2000 or as high as you can go without getting acne works really well in stopping the hair falling 3. Iron, Omega, vit c & vitamin d supplements on top of daily supplement for women 4. Washing more regularly as dirty hair is dirty scalp which is not good environment for growing new hair 5. Diet loads of water, veggies, nuts & protein.

Hey love, I came across your channel and I want to say, I love you so much and it takes immense courage to be confident. I want to tell you something. Do not listen to anyone's advice in real life or on the internet. Just go to the dermatologist and she/he will literally be your best friend and save your life. You might have Vitamin D issues which is almost 70-80% the main problem for hair fall and thinning or you might have other issues. Best advice I can give you is just go to the dermatologist and never look back. I have had thin hair issues and hairfall for so long now but going to the dermatologist changed my life. It really did. The dermatologist suggested I never oil my hair ever again and it's all a myth and hair never grows by oiling. She suggested I wash my hair every alternative day coz oily buildup on scalp can cause hairfall. She suggested me to take vitamin D capsules coz my vitamin D was too low, suggested me anti-dandruff shampoo which really helped. For god's sake for anyone reading this, DO NOT USE LOCAL SHAMPOO BRANDS. IT RUINS YOUR HAIR. Use high standard clinical shampoos which are especially made for hair health. Don't believe stupid shampoo ads saying ur hair will become that this etc etc. To whoever is reading this, please do me a favor and go to the dermatologist and use the shampoo he/she suggests. Don't waste your time. Just get going. I have seen lots of improvement in my hair health and density and I promise you that I'm not lying. I am not promoting any brand or product like you have seen. All I want you to do is just go to the dermatologist and please PLEASE STOP TREATING YOUR HAIR ALL BY YOURSELF AND FOLLOWING BULLSHIT ADVICE ON THE INTERNET.

Hi Zoe! I'm new to your channel so please forgive me if you have discussed this already, but have you ever been thoroughly checked for PCOS, endometriosis, or thyroid disease? I have PCOS and Hashimoto's Thyroid disease, and it's made my hairloss journey very difficult. Although I can say that I do notice that it gets sooo much better if I follow a strict diet specifically for my illnesses. I have been taking quite a few supplements to help out, and tbh I've noticed a huge change in these last couple of months. The things that are helping me are DHT blocking supplements like a saw palmetto/biotin combo, Myo-Insositol (which reduces high testosterone in women and good for pcos), and fish oil. Again, sorry if you have already gone over the topic in your previous videos.

Thanks for making this video and giving tips! It has really given me hope and confidence to focus on myself more than on what the other think of me.❤️
I am 16 years old an have been loosing a lot of hair since 8 months till the point where I can just wear one hairstyle and other people have already noticed it. I just feel so powerless because I can't do anything and I always saw my hair as a part of me and got compliments for it, so it's hard seeing it fall out..
Especially as a teenager still going to school it's hard to be confident about that kind of thing because there are many people talking about you and making you feel bad. I know my friends don't care but it makes me insecure thinking about people staring at me or talking behind my back about my appearance (I can still hide the hair loss but I don't know how long I will be able to hide it, it's becoming more and more)..
So yeah, I guess I need to ignore these people and surround myself with a positive environment.
Thanks for talking so openly about this kind of topic and normalising it!! 🥰

If I didn't mean it, trust me, I wouldn't say it. I'm also around your height (4'11). The best thing about being tiny is that we will always look young haha. I had hair thinning a year ago as well. I lost half my hair. It was a combination that caused it. Not enough sun, not enough protein, not enough calories, extreme stress, and combing my hair ( I finger comb now). Once I took care of everything I mentioned, it came to an abrupt halt. I mean, I was losing 600-700 hairs a day. Now, I only lose about 20 daily. I will pray for you and I hope your hair issue will resolve.

Oh, Zoe. Thank you so, so much for this video. I've been dealing with hair loss for 5 years, and I have maybe 20% of my original hair density from 4 years ago. I think Depo Provera started mine because of the androgen levels, followed by two episodes of Telogen Effluvium after I got off of it. I've only been to a dermatologist once because I cannot afford to go again.
My temples are balding and I have a small hair loss area in my middle hairline that is also slowly increasing in size. It hurts to know. It hurts to watch. I eventually cut my hair short and now I am trying to grow it out again. My hairline is fairly similar to yours at the moment.
I am going to a wedding soon and I fear the photos. I plan on covering my temples and thin areas with hair fiber as best as possible. I go between times where I feel confident, and others where I am anxious and devastated about my hair. It's so hard to separate my self worth and value from my hair and appearance, especially when I think about being interviewed for jobs, and how judgements and impressions are formed based on how you look (especially as a woman.)
I've decided I will save what I can through what research I've done and what little suggestion I got from the dermatologist-- but promised myself to not obsess over this let alone have hair loss be a massive source of stress. Very difficult, but I know it is possible.
Be it genetic, immune, hormonal, due to medical issues, or deficiencies/nutrition- I've told myself that it is going to be what it is in the end, and that there is more to ME and more to life than my hair. If people cannot like me or see me for anything other than my appearance, then GOOD RIDDANCE and stay out of my life and business. I don't need those types of people or that toxicity in my life.
My hair is not going to stop me from being the best version of me I can, nor stop me from what I want in life or prevent me from things I would like to do.
We are all beautiful in our own way, and what matters most is being good enough for ourselves. I believe the people closest to us love us and value us for who we are, and not how we look.
Thank you for your content and videos. Please know you are beautiful and there is nothing you need to change. Much love!

@@mariamaraki9376 I definitely know what you mean. It's all there logically, but cannot make yourself 'believe' it deep down or at all.
But, I believe in you and that in time you will get to a place where you will be happy and comfortable! I still have a long way to go with that myself. One day I think it will stop being a fight to feel & believe it at all. A large part of it for me is separating my hair from my identity. It is so, so difficult. Especially because my hair is one of the few things I loved about myself. It isn't easy finding something else to love or feel confident about. One day I can stop crying.
