Pretty late to this but here’s what I learned with this machine in the past few months
1. On the dial let the arrow reach in the middle of 180° and the red cup so it should be completely straight up, this won’t burn your espresso and make it less bitter.
2. Invest in a pressurized tamper and a distributor along with a puck screen, trust me I know how expensive these things can get but it’s worth it.
3. If you don’t have any of the items I listed in #2 then use a toothpick to evenly distribute the coffee grounds.
4. Tap your filled portafilter on an even surface until it’s completely level, if you tamp unevenly it will cause uneven channeling and bitter espresso.
5. If you use the machine regularly you should descale it, all you have to do is fill half of the water tank with white vinegar and the rest with water. Run the machine until the tank is empty. Put a little more water in the tank and run it again just to make sure there’s no vinegar left. (Descaling should be applied to the machine every 4-6 months)
6. Don’t brew for over 20 seconds because that will burn the coffee and result in bitter espresso.
Hope this helps and happy brewing!
I love your video this so fun editing and fun to watch
Watching you for took the fear out!! 😬Thanks! 😄 I'm buying one of these!
Nice! This helped a lot with my new machine.
Yay that makes me happy to hear! ❤️☕️
Very nice, also the machine
It’s the “apparently I’ve never been on live television before” for me
GJ! This was really funny! I like how it goes back for proof the pitcher was in fact not shown 😆Amazon pics be messin with us like that though
I love your humor omg 😂
I bought one of these for the office. Everyone loves it
The former coffee shop barista in me feels compelled to give you this tip. The espresso shots are bitter because espresso has a certain amount of seconds before they die and they are no longer good. You can still drink it but that’s why it tastes bitter. When I buy coffee at biggby I constantly see them let the shots die and I cringe so bad.
You know what is so crazy?? I just heard this today in another girls vlog! She said like 12 seconds? So you have to add whatever milks and everything you want pretty much immediately then? And thank you, I love it! Like I said.. I drink from a Keurig.. a connoisseur I am not 😅 Just a coffee lover!
@@emromm A lot of people are unaware, so I don’t blame you at all. I only know because I worked at Biggby and they had us taste bad shots, so I recognize it right away. Kind of, you only have to add one thing as far as I know. I don’t think water would do it but if you add milk or flavor then they would react with the espresso. At least that is what I have always been told, which I would double check me if I were you 🤣. It’s been awhile.
@@audralabay6564 once I’m not pregnant anymore I gotta start messing around with it again! 😆 Thank you for the tips though! 😊
My thoughts EXACTLY! Your milk should be steamed and finished before your shots. Or mix your shots with another substance to help .. ice, water, syrups.. something that will help your shots from going bad!
Also a barista and we would steam the milk while pulling the shot. These at home machine don’t allow for that I guess. I didn’t realize it was down to the seconds but now it makes sense, the fresh espresso gets bitter fast if not combined into a drink.
My recommend is to use a Turkish coffee pot since I am almost never able to find mugs to fit.
That’s a great tip, thank you! Clearly I did not prepare for this video beforehand! 😆
or a shot glass
Apppparently I’ve never been on live television before 🤣🤣🤣 I’m happy I found your video, I got this as a birthday gift and I use is alllll the time but It steams SOOOOO much I’m like maybe I’m not doing this right. I never cleaned It out with water first. I’ll do that now and hope It doesn’t sound like it’s going to explode anymore
I love this little machine!! Hopefully I said something helpful to you! 😆 I’m pregnant now so I don’t get to enjoy it as much at the moment 😭😂 Welcome!! ❤️
@@emromm congrats 🤰🏻
@@emromm Pregnant? How did that happen? 😂 Congratulations !!🎉🎊🎆👶
@@alannateresaestrella4042 thank you!! 🥰
@@flipflat4814 I am the Virgin Mary 🙏 thank you 😂❤️
This machines are very beautiful and also digital metre there, I really like it i also buy one Express a machine for miyako brand that is not have any time metre but price is more higher than this one 😐
Came for that thicc espresso stayed for that thicccc... espresso. Just jokes cool vid very informative
You got to teach me how to make espresso
I can do that!!
I bought one of these about a year ago. Using only filtered water from my Berkey filter. It leaks constantly... Dripping from handle area, dripping from steamer wand... Knob no longer turns off the steam but spins nearly 360°
It was okay at first but only took a few months before things started going south 😢
Oh no! 😭 I forget where I gave an update but a year-a year and a half later my machine stopped heating up and the dial would not move 🤷🏻♀️ I suppose that’s what you get for $100 espresso machine but I have a new video on a Nespresso machine if you’re interested!
@@emrommBad machine, I used to have a $1200 Italian machine that pooped the bed after a year. It's all luck of the draw
Did the little brush come with it?
Yes it did! It came with the stamper and the brush!
Oh you know what, my apologies- it did not! To be honest now I have no recollection of where that little brush came from 😅 You could honestly use a little dollar store paint brush if you really want to get in there but generally a good tap does the trick ☺️
Its not espresso u need 13 gram of coffee ground and u extract 60 gram of espresso
7:50 THICCCC 😍👌🏻
I'm a year late 😂 but you can remove the bottom part to make a mug fit
Lmao where were you a year ago?! 😂
@@emromm hahaha I barely got one for this Christmas 😅
How is it after a year? Do you still like it? I really want one.
I still love it! I don’t use it daily- full disclaimer! But it’s still in great condition and a great bang for your buck! I still don’t know much about espresso but.. it tastes great to me 😅🤍
@@emromm Thanks for responding, I’m going to order mine 😊 I don’t know anything about espressos either but that’s ok 😁
@@Karlee1376 I had a baby so I had to cool it on the caffeine for a while but your comment reminded me of this video and inspired me to get back into and practice more! Good luck 🤍
@@emromm awww congratulations on your baby ❤️ and yes, keep practicing your barista skills 😁
You always froth your milk first so your shot doesn’t die
I hadn’t thought of that! Do you think the milk would hold up?
@@emromm yes as long as you give it movement and hit it on the counter
@@scumshay3237 thank you! I will try that!
Perhaps add sugar
Just another ad for the thing
Sadly I’ve never been paid for any video or product or anything UA-cam, I have like 160 subscribers 😅 these are just honest opinions! It’s still going strong though!
Yeah that's right everything you have is too big 😅
Who else was distracted the entire video?
Lmao. I dont even know what the video was about
I "came" for the "titorial" not the tutorial
Every thing she has is too big . 😂👀
She dosent know anything about espresso
So true! I feel like I definitely made that clear in the video but maybe not 😅
Not all of us coffee lovers are uptight bean nerds
