Nothing, and I mean NOTHING has been done with this concept. Not to mention the lack of any culture clash besides Apollyon travelling to factions and collecting their emblems.
Which is a crying shame. For Honor's story mode was supposed to be much bigger, way richer and more complex, but Ubisoft was very reluctant with even just giving For Honor a green light, which resulted in story mode (and, frankly, most of the game) getting the axe. The development was cumbersome and difficult, a lot of features were revisited, scrapped or changed completely. And right after the release, its creative director left/was fired for reasons, well, unknown. It's almost a miracle this game managed to avoid a development hell and see the release, but the game released was still pretty far from its original concept, which is, again, a crying shame. Don't get me wrong, i love For Honor with all my heart, but i think it could've been a lot better if Ubisoft gave it a slightly bigger budget and gave more freedom to its at-the-time game director, Jason Vanderberghe. There's a big documentary about the development of For Honor on Netflix, called "Playing Hard". It's an interesting one. God i hope there'll be a sequel to this game... P.S. Sorry for the long-ass comment, but i hope it'll give you a bit more insight into why the story feels lacking. It wasn't supposed to be that way.
I really miss the old equipment system, before those "perk" thresholds. Back then you could trully adjust your combat stats to your liking, i hate that currently we have to commit to a damned meta or a more standard type of gameplay instead of having a bit of freedom...

I miss those days. You could win in a 1v4 anytime as long as you could parry someone.
I don't miss the cancerous Revenge builds. But I miss the days when Gear actually had a mechanical purpose.
Or the throw distance gear with LB , you grab someone in the head throw him 15m of the ledge 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@hybossa7 ah yes, the one way train ride across the map when Max Throw Distance Lawbringer got an Impaling Charge.
@@CaptainCFalcon As infuriating as it was to get caught in it, it was pretty funny seeing LB run by your fight with some poor bastard stuck on the end of his haberd like a marshmallow.
i was gonna pick this game up again so thank you, Marco
I've been playing For Honor for awhile now, but I still learned things in this.
I stopped playing before Marching Fire... i never thought that For Honor changed so much :D
Ubisoft, please make this manditory to watch if you start playing
Wait cent has finally got his rework? I never thought the day would come
it came 2-3 days ago and now it isnt guaranteed punch or anything its all about timing now
Yep. Instead of relying on hitting a charged Heavy to do decent damage, most of his moveset is faintable and his punches are way more viable. He’s kinda like Warden now in way.
Hes s tier now
welcome to warden 2.0
How to play Aramusha: just soft feint heavies to lights over and over again until you want to not soft feint
He's my main, I can relate that
Got back to For Honor just recently, and the Centurion is still my favorite hero! I just love his combos!
Please don't use him you steal the fun
3:17 honestly it's not that immersion breaking, it's natural that some members of one faction would change sides for whatever reason
I was going to say something about me watching this even though I already know all the things you say in the video...
...but then I realized I actually haven't played For Honor in a really long time.
I've just kept up to date with the game through videos without playing it for some reason. xD
Is it weird that I finished this whole video and learned nothing new?
Do I have a problem?
Anyway good video.
No it’s just that this game has nothing much to learn
@@zebrom7994 bruh i've been playing since alpha and i'm still learning new things
Rayven
Bruh how?
Htun Naung I already know how to parry lights, predict my opponents moves and how to punish each hero. I’ve been playing since the beta. Thank you for the advice though.
Htun Naung
Yeah why would he learn nothing from the video when he’s supposedly a beginner. 😂
When you’ve been around since the very beginning of For Honor and you’re still watching these types of vids for no reason
Yep. Closed beta and on, dunno why I watched this. Still a good vid tho
We watch them to guard against heresy
This was such an unexpectedly high quality video holy shit
you sound like a well established youtuber and have a very nice style of videos I was very surprised to see you're not in the millions yet, needless to say subbed
Me who has put thousands of hours into for honor.
"Yes I would love to learn how to play"
But honestly I'm so happy this game is still alive and strong. Might even redownload it after I beat ghost of tsushima
I cant wait to get it again, I'll be able to play warden again for the first time in 3 years
I love this game and come back to it every other month
Let’s be honest, a lot of us have been playing For Honor consistently, but we still needed this.
"A chance to do your best Faraam impression"... You sure are a cultured wizard. Love that.
Hello, just purchased FH and love it. Coming from 6 years of participating in professional fighting game tournaments..and the sacred knowledge bestowed by this video..
I look forward to seeing you all out there!
>:)
After adopting a crusader persona I’m going to play this game now
I fought you in for honor the other day and didn't even realize you were a UA-cam. Small world
Ah yes the infamous “John Who”
Finally a sponsor without brownosing tone, well done bro!
Thanks for the useful video! Recently a buddy of mine and myself have been stuck in the dried out game drought but we decided to get back into For Honor after I showed him this video.
16:22 "Discombobulate" is that a... Sherlock Holmes reference?
"The Shinobi thinks you really cute, but is too shy to say so up close" huaheuaheuaheuaeh die in that one
20:03 "Elimination is also bet of 5"
Me: Alright, bet X5
Thank you for this guide I am actually coming back to the game. This helped me remember things I forgot and helped me know about certain things I had no idea about despite playing the game already. You've earned a new subscriber and I look forward to future content. Keep up the good work! 😆
I have been playing the game for 3 years and currently do and I still learned new things from this video
I stopped playing when they added Shinobi and centurion was added. I just returned like a week ago and still am dog balls at it
Kinda wanna reinstall For Honor, now.
Do it
I uninstalled it 5 days ago right before the new update
Maybe it’s for the best you don’t
servers are more active now since the recent big update
Remember the 50 Gigabyte filesize :)
"Single player mode is nothing like online." Me: Plays single player to learn to play online, it works. (this was like idk long after release of the game but earlier than this video) *Just like the simulations* Then school came and here I am
thanks i played law bringer in 2019 and DESTROYED EVERYONE but kind of just left, i forgot almost all my custom combos that were really good
Haven't played in years but hearing that Valkyrie might not be the worst thing ever makes me wanna kinda get back into it
Feel like the “muh immersion” was a badger reference
“The longer the execution the more health”. *laughs in conq’s modified hangman*
First hero with unblockable light attacks
Kensei 4th Feat : Konichiwa
It was definitely designed for a pre ccu game but as a kensei main you throw ur smoke bomb and use that while ur in it it's 👌you basically become darth vader at the end of rogue one on them fools
I’m liking the way that the game’s been ever since i returned. (Apart from the Wu-Lin) I was around when PK didn’t do toothpick damage. Amazing to see how this game’s come so far since release.
Been playing this game since release and yet I’m stilling watching these videos
Me: haven't played for honor in a year
Marco: u can hit enemies
me: :)
Haha so funny dude
@@coldmort just like your sub count?
@@XlWolfMaster Wow you have 40 subs, you probably cant walk the streets without getting recognized! Its a honour talking to you
@@coldmort Haha so funny dude
Why did I waste 20 minutes of my time even tho I’ve been playing since the beta and launch and I still play 🤦🏻♂️
I fell out of it when adding new characters became a rarity.
For honor be like this : cent is basic op and fun to play , all samurais are still memes, Vikings has the most annoying hero’s and the Wu lin are dodgers
No for honor be like this: WE WILL PROTECT THE HOLY VOLCANO AT THE COST OF ALL ELSE DEUS VULT
bruh i went through the story to prepare for online mode and it helped me a lot so im pretty sure it just depends on what type of player you are
This video singlehandedly made me buy For Honor all over again and play it since the disastrous launch. With the 67% off - I'm excited!
