You produce some of the best content for Infinity. Keep it up. You should do pods where you put things in context. Ie not just mindlessly going through all profiles in an army and rating them but talking about swots and tactics.
Yea Rob I agree with your assessment of MAF strengths being speed and order pool. For the Marut or Atlanta issue, I’ve previously deployed a Rasyat on the table like normal model and used that eclipse to screen for other things to move up.
Hi, love your reports! Looking forward to Novacore. I'm still learning some rules Interactions but at 17:15 did the hapless thorakities still get to use sixth sense when they got shot in the back? Or did weight of dice do them in? Related question; if a fireteam member gets shot and the rest don't use an ARO because they are supporting can they still alert? Or does supporting the link count as an ARO for them? Ta
Hey mate, good catch - yes, sixth sense would have entitled the Thorakites to respond with an ARO. I *think* what actually happened is that I'm misremembering the impact of the Rasyat, and that Alke actually died to enflilade fire from my reserve drop suryat HRL in the couple of orders it had to make it up the table - which took the Thorakite link down from four to three troops.
@@R0bertShepherd nice. The 4 man is that much more susceptible to losing sixth sense. With the changes to fireteams I do wonder if more folk will be taking 4man mixed cores since it's not necessarily worth a body for +1bs
@@bedwyr84 so far I've found people are pushing for 5-model cores to take advantage of the composition bonuses keeping them still good at 4 models. E.g. aconte running five regulars including a sapper sniper, or tunguska running a grenzer and four securitate but with a secrutiate HMG as a backup gun if the grenzer dies and the link gets composition bonuses again. In phalanx I think it could go either way. I'd be inclined to try a mix, but getting a pure myrmidion core to 4 models allows Phoenix to be a beastly ARO piece which is well worth considering.
In the course of the 27/30 rockets at Ajax, I'm assuming he couldn't guts out of your line of fire? Its hard to tell from the angle. (and he didn't dodge successfully at all I'm guessing)
Nope, he absolutely could have dropped prone. He chose not to because he wanted to kill the Dartok holding a supply box on ground level below him, who he had LOF to from his standing position (having just reached it with the last move-move order of his turn). So long as he stayed standing he could take a BS attack ARO if the Dartok legged it, but if he dropped prone I could leg it with the Dartok, hacking him as he went. I suspect if I'd put him to NWI at any point he might have dropped prone, but he took a single wound to an early rocket, then zero wounds to like twenty intervening ones, and the last volley dropped him straight to dead.
Correct - the gaki moved into silhouette with Andromeda, which activates the Engaged state - which is one of ways suppressive fire can be cancelled. :)

The gods of dice surely had fun this game.
This was awesome!

Faction deep dive please! Or all fireteam tier ranking!
Embrace the monkey. Go monkey go, go go Jojo!
Nice cardboard (?) terrain! Where are the buildings from?
It looks like acid house terrain.

15:00 - so even though Gaki went down to suppresive, it entered base to base, which means engaged and it cancelled the suppresive state?
