Hey it's pretty positive on the Yu Jing forum! 😁And pretty quite for months.😪 White Banner was a mess and now I'm positive. You can make core and haris of just Jujak and Ye Mao now. But favorite things is Duo or Haris of Shaolin with Qo and/or Kai. I somewhat feel you are going to be seeing more haris and 3-man core teams. It's harder to make un-mixed, full size, fireteams. And for some it's not even worth it. ie in WB Zhanshi 5-man can only get up to BS14, with Adil BS15 with a Breaker. Worth it? Or an expensive Shang Ji and Jujak team to get BS16.
I'm also very keen on those monk teams. For five-troop core links, I think I generally agree, but I *like* three-trooper flexible offensive teams, so even in morats I've been running the multiple small teams configuration. It's definitely fun and feels very strong (and less stressful than trying to have to go mobile with a full core). I'm still seeing five-trooper cores from the factions with where it makes some sense to do so (it's a pretty long list actually, although well under half the game) but the age of the old three-securitate-one-paramedic-one-grenzer static battery ARO piece seems properly gone outside of a few rare cases where the overall link is so cheap as to be worthwhile as an order battery alone. I *do* wonder if we might not see some 4+1 links where there's a backup gun that trades on +1BS for the link getting composition bonuses when the +1 dies, like say 4xfusiliers with a fusilier HMG, and then an ORC Fueurbach, so when the ORC goes down the Fusilier is still BS13 B5... but it's very hypothetical, and might not be worth the investment most of the time. I certainly wouldn't bother with e.g. white banner where you can use the smaller teams to run tons of smoke and orders and stealth and firepower spread over a broader base.
@@R0bertShepherd ISS got a big plus by having 2 haris. ISS still has a lot of troubles, Especially in missions that need Anti-material weapons, but I like having 2 3-man haris and 1 3-man core. The Bao doesn't even care about the +3 to discover because it already gets it. Yu Jing in general also has many Duo to choose from.
@@R0bertShepherd Good and a lot! By far the most duos in the game. I really liked Guijia+Krit Kokram in IA. Now I can do the same in Vanilla. But also Zuyong Tac Aware tinbot, or an MBH. Others have less but a few good ones like Asawira+whatever. He can now ignore frenzy in vanilla :(
Nope, not remotely. It's super cool and a great way to let Ramah stand out, but they're single wound infantry without MSVs. It's incredibly rare for any model to clear the bar of 'oppressive' in Infinity without a combination of bad table design and lack of player adaptivity to help it along. There *are* one or two pieces I think come uncomfortably close but they're very rare and a core link team of light infantry ain't it.

Notable mistake I made this game and caught in retrospect: the Rindak profile I took was NOT the FTO profile; it can't join link teams.
My two factions are RTF and MAF....my stonks were in the right place.

@@Space_Ranger 100% - the vanilla YJ duos may well be the best in the game. Just incredible stuff there.
