From the noise the starter makes, to the engine sound, to the vtec whine, these little fookers always put a smile on my face. Hondas are unique. They aren't the most expensive, or the most luxurious or the fastest (even though I've seen some sleepers smoke supercars) but they are Hondas. If you've had an Honda, you know what I mean. Edit: Not having to fix something every other month is also a nice bonus. Reliable little bastards.

A simple $600 apr stage 1 ecu tune ads about 80hp and almost 100 pd/ft torqe dropping your 0-60 to about 3.8. add a downpipe and get a free software upfrade to stage two and you're in supercar territory to 60 in low to mid 3s for all under 2 Grand . Sure I've added mods to help support all the extra power and handling and tires. Just became a hobby even though I never tracked it. The fort Lauderdale Florida roads here are all five Lanes wide and smooth as silk so the whole City is like a racetrack. I've Had it for 4 years and not an issue. And even with all that power I've never had even a chirp of wheelspin, even flooring it in first without using the LC. I love the type R, and because of where I live and how smooth the roads are with no potholes anywhere.. a hardcore track car that is still a livable for the streets like the type R really appeals to me, and its probably the best FWD performance card today. But in terms of versatility (not the GTI cuz that's garbage), they don't compare. And I got mine for the same price as type R. Even in my lapis blue color, 15% tints, and sitting pretty low, cops don't even give me a second look. I don't see anything gay about that. Sounds like the best car I've ever owned. Oh wait, it is. Having a V8 Mustang for 1 year now, I find all cars having less than 450 HP, fairly slow. My next car will need to be even more powerful. I ll never be able to go down in power. Great sound tho for a 4 cylinders.
It’s not always about straight line acceleration or a horsepower figure. A Mustang GT is great for mashing the gas and hearing an American V8 burble. A Civic Type R is great for modifying and squeezing tons of power out of and throwing into corners at the track. A Lotus Elise has far less power than either but would easily give your Stang a run for its money in pure driving fun. Next time you drive a different car, try to experience it in the way the designers intended, rather than in comparison to your mustang’s acceleration.
@@reverbandchill I did not have to learn, I perfectly understand that concept. However, for people like me that don t drive on circuits, cars that can accelerate heavily are more enjoyable daily so the power to weight ratio is still an important criteria for me when it comes to consider a new car!

@@King-Gilamashur2758 VTEC hasn't been kicking in for a while now. i-VTEC allows for more than one cam timing transition. But I doubt the engine reaches peak power at 3500rpm, fam. So he's shortshifting regardless.

If you have 370 hp on a car that weights 1400kg it’s stil verry fast
