    We loved meeting and hanging out with you both! We will see you next time we are in Albania 🇦🇱 or somewhere else in our travels! Thanks for the shout out to Marks blog. We are so excited to continue watching your adventures in Albania and beyond. Tirana was a beautiful city but a bit big for us and the traffic and horn blowing is no joke 🤣. Very walkable and beautiful architecture and green spaces. Great food and people too! - Annette

    Hi Patrick - I agree with you about visiting the south cities such as Vlora , Saranda and Gjirokastra in the winter time. I personally believe that's the best time. Here is why:
    1). Natural is so beautiful in the winter because all the orange tree are blooming and are full with orange fruit. The smell is amazing. The mountain are green and on a nice sunny day the sea looks gorgeous with it's different blue/green colors.
    2). Very cheap in the winter.
    3). You have the whole place to yourself.
    Looking forward to your videos there!

    We are in Albania scouting out places to retire. We enjoyed Shkoder (it was on the top of the list before we left). Currently in Durres, and this town has different vibes...port area and beach area, we're currently just south of the port.
    We are heading over to Tirana today to explore...going to take the Djiti Ekspres to the top of the mountain at noon, and then explore a bit of the city after. Then on to Vlore and Gjirokaster, so far we L-O-V-E it here.
    We feel connected!

    Totally agree about driving in Tirana _ it is crazy. I drove from the airport to Shkodër and it was a nice drive. Traffic in Shkodër is not bad, but not good either, it is drivable though and once you are out of the city center it's not bad at all. Really like this city and the good news is bikes are everywhere and with a bike yo dont need a car.

    First of all, thank you so much for all the practical information you share about Albania in your videos! I've been binge watching your channel! We're preparing for a move abroad and Albania is our top choice, but we do have 3 elementary age kids. We plan to homeschool, but one of my children has ADHD and takes Adderall for it, which makes a HUGE positive difference for him. However, I've read that those types of stimulant ADHD drugs are illegal in Albania. Do you know what would be available, if anything, as an alternative? It's difficult to find much info about it on the internet, so I thought I'd try asking someone with boots on the ground. Thanks for any help you can give!

    I myself "stumbled" when I went to your live video. I couldn't figure out how to post a message in the chat. I watched the entire livestream and really enjoyed it.
    If you see this, I have a couple of questions. What denominations of Leke are best to carry? Do I need to carry the 5,000 and 10,000?
    On other videos I've learned that the city bus in Durres is 40 Like. I imagine you use the 200 Leke until you can get some coins.

    • @patrickoverseas
      @patrickoverseas  3 місяці тому

      Hi Craig...We both stumbled. Was first time for me too. We will figure it out. As for money, most places want smaller bills when your buying things. 1000 lek...or 500 lek...ATMs will give you 5000 bills. i take those to exchange places and get smaller bills at no charge from exchange.
