      True Vanguard I agree with OP. Very well done video and you have gained a subscriber. I would love to play a round with you. I generally play with my 305 community, but am one of the few within who really enjoys crucible. First lighthouse run with them, though, last week :)

    Wow...this was one of the best sniper insight videos I think I've seen. The 80/20 for twitch shots and counting on the aim assist to give it that little bump was something I didn't realize. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge!

    After listening to all of these pointers multiple times, I hopped into a clash game. First one didn't go so well, but then second one I hopped into it was a much more preferred map and I got better and better at the twitch drag shot. Thanks you were very professional and a HUGE help. (:

    Another tip to help sight in at head level, the enemy (or friendly) ghost of a dead body is at head level. This makes for easy revive sniping. Also many maps have lines and markers on walls help you get that prefect head level. Having your sights set gives you an advantage even against skilled snipers. Hope this helps you guardians looking to get better.

    • @jongraves6117
      @jongraves6117 9 років тому

      And to help you guys get immediate revive snipes, I'm sure you've noticed, but the ghost turns bluish when someone is reviving, use that time to line up your shot and remember they are only vulnerable when they land and drop a hair in the animation.

    Subbed...I look forward to more tutorials...still practicing my sweep sniping skills, but hopefully reach this level. It's funny, I was tearing this team up in Skirmish. I told the guys I was playing with that they would report and/or message me hate mail. As soon as I said that I received a message. In the end, this kid asked how I sniped so well and gave me props. Not all Destiny players are all about hate.

    Just subbed. Great videos concise and informative. Just binge watched all your sniping series.
    I consider myself a pretty decent pvper and usually avg 1-3 k/d and 20-30kills with occasional higher or lower games.
    Due to a lot of balancing issues I've resorted to primarily hand canons and sniper being an after thought or more situational. That being said I'm trying to get back into my sniping. I know it's been asked of you before but what sensitivity to you play/recommend? Coming from mostly BF3/4 and CoD I've always tended to go 7-10 range because of movement issues and cqc situations. Destiny however I just can't find a sweet spot. Advice appreciated.
    Great vids.

    Man i would hate hate hate going against this guy in the trials. But honestly i think by far the best way to become a good sniper is just practice practice, build confidence, and then trust yourself when you pull the trigger. You can explain all day how to put sights on a guy, but at the end of the day, you just gotta do it

    Great videos. I do have a question. I agree trying to control the space around you when facing multiple enemies is crucial. Lead 1 to 2 away into an area you have the advantage (like high ground or a bottle neck like you stated.) But how do you escape or what are your thoughts on when you are not In control? How do you gain control when caught in a bad situation? I always tried to just survive maybe throw grenade and hope for the best. But I curious to know your thoughts.

    True Vanguard, what's your opinion on reloading? I usually empty the mag then reload, but do you consciously reload after each engagement or what? Also rapidly pulling left trigger in and out, or "blipping" it, is great. Your scope stays up and do does your radar. Basically a cheap version of the Third Eye perk.

    Awesome vid man. 2 questions, do you use low,mid, or longe range scopes? And do you have a sort of "mental crosshair " in the middle of the screen before you scope in?

    • @0tto777
      @0tto777 9 років тому

      WarMachine425 all snipers have a base zoom of 4x. The scope then multiplies that number. The eagle eye for example has a zoom of 5x I believe making it a 20x zoom when ADS. The Ambush scope he is using gives a 0.5x zoom making for a 2x zoom overall. This is ideal for the short sight lines in most of the maps we currently have. The only other scope with that low a zoom is the short gaze SLH10, not to be confused with the short gaze SLH15 which has a much higher zoom factor. I can't speak for the second question but from my own experience you get used to knowing roughly where you'll be aiming when you ADS but it takes A LOT of practice

    • @JG54206
      @JG54206 9 років тому +1

      WarMachine425 For the 2nd question, Kind of. You learn within about an inch or so on either side of your tv screen where your are when you scope in. For instance, you learn to know that when you scope in, you can tell by where you were looking that you will be for example maybe a tiny bit right and you almost immediately correct this when you scop in.
