Best new snipers in my opinion. Shadow of Veils (Pre Rolled) Queenbreaker Bow (Pre Rolled) Her Benevolence (Rerollable) Recommended rolls - Unflinching, Rodeo - Stability Barrel/AP Rounds (still somewhat useful) - Clown Cartridge, Performance Bonus. Don't use final round, not the way to make fwiends in pvp. But Patrick does a great job in giving you an example of why it is useful without abusing it.
Wallen I have an ephrideets spear with unflinching, ap rounds and last round. I think it's really good for trials and I don't abuse the final round perk as I use both other shots and use the last one as I would for the others.
What always works for sniping is a pre-aiming where the enemies head should be so when they walk into your scope just pull the trigger, kill them before they can even aim at you, also let go of the left trigger to un scope in to see the radar then scope in again, only unscope for a split second so you're ready to shoot. If u know the height of an enemies head and can pre aim you win the sniper battle. Also if you need help heads hitting off of a revive, aim slightly above the middle of the top of the ghost (:
I've done POE countless times. I've gotten 5 or 6 Payment VIs, 3 Her Right Hands, 3 Her Mercys, 2 Dreamwakers, 2 Wolve's Banes, 2 Hygiea Noblesses, Got my first Her Courtesy on my last run, and I've gotten Kellhunter's Hood at least 8 or 9 times in a row. The only weapon I want from the chest is Her Benevolence, and I still have never gotten one. I got 2 Gjallarhorns in a row from last week's Nightfall, and just got Bones of Eau from the POE chest, BUT I STILL CAN'T GET HER BENEVOLENCE!
I've found that I prefer the Low Zoom (5X) scopes the most. It's just enough that I can pick off a headshot at long range, but still low enough for multiple target acquisition at mid-range. What I can't decide is whether to focus on stability, damage or reload perks.
What are you r thoughts on the Eye of Sol? Other than ammo issues and lack of Tacsys or Ambush I find it to be a solid sniper (Of course Praedyth shits on all other high RoF snipers, and Her Benevolence lets me OHK off revive).
Mime Slayer yeah, it has a really good feel to it; it's really snappy and head shots seem really easy thanks to the huge aim assist xD It seems to have pretty bad recoil though, so double bodyshots aren't as easy as on something like praedyths. I actually really like the scopes on it as well
gavin bathagte no.. praedyths is a scout rifle -_- Besides, if you want to be a good sniper, its better to practice with a high impact sniper as you're forced to go for accurate headshots instead of spraying people down with body shots..
prajit praveen Starter sniper in that regard. If you are starting out, the second shot can be usefull if you try to fing your targets head again. Plus, when i used LDr starting out, id just hit a body, sit behind cover and toss a grenade.
Followed your recommendation and got a HB with spray and play, flared magwell and unfortunately, shoot to loot with the ambush scope and a I fell in love with it instantly. I would change the last perk since I haven't noticed it doing anything, but I have improved massively!
I love my Ylongbow Synthesis. Double down (spawn w/ more ammo), lightweight (to rush the sniper spot before the other sniper), outlaw (i would change this for something else but useful) w/ an ambush scope. I can switch LW with field scout but i prefer the speed increase over an extra follow up shot. Holds 5 bumps it to 6.
I have a Y-09 Longbow that has the Ambush scope, Performance Bonus, Field Scout, and Final Round. It's so good having one shot left and hitting a final round shot and getting one more..
Re rolled this weapon 20+ times to finally get Ambush, Hidden hand, faster reload, and Performance Bonus. The one you show in the video is THE perfect roll imo. Plenty of ammo + fast weapon switching is really good to me.
As an experienced gamer, reviewing footage is one of the BEST tips you can give. I often go back through hours of footage just to see what I did wrong and how I can improve. An easy way to record footage if you have an Xbox is to steam on twitch and then watch the stream laster, that way you don't have to try and save it.
In vanilla destiny there was a new monarchy sniper rifle called the prudence II, a very fast firing sniper that takes 3 body shots, and that is my favorite sniper rifle, I can consistently land head shots and the perk roll I got on it is amazing (ambush, outlaw, rodeo, and skip rounds, for extra shots in reserve)
Surplus provides 50% more ammo from crates in crucible. Field scout increases max capacity of bullets to 24 and the crates give you 1/4 of your max ammo. So field scout = 6 bullets. Field scout + surplus = 9 bullets. I haven't played for a short bit so correct me if I'm wrong but try testing this. Though I know surplus definitely improves amount of ammo gained per crate. But this does all change depending on the sniper so it's not always accurate, I don't even know...
Tips for Sniping: Perks you want: Hidden Hand (Aim Assist is awesome), Field Scout (MOAR BULLETS), Firefly (Because Explosions are Fracking awesome!) Tips: Strafeshot. Don't take the time to get that pinpoint aim for a headshot. You won't have time to do that in Crucible. Learn how to know when to fire while moving. Move your sight over the enemy and pull the trigger when it's on their head. Know the right Sniper. You don't want to be using a low impact high RoF sniper most of the time (I mean you MIGHT but...) Learn the values of snipers and find that perfect combo of Impact and RoF to dominate. I am not a good sniper.
That perfect "Her Benevolence" you described near the end of the video is exactly what I got on mine when I opened up a PoE chest. Didn't even have to reroll it! As soon as I saw Clown Cartridge and Performance Bonus I knew I had a keeper. It doesn't have Ambush, but I prefer the Longview anyway.
Personally I use a spear with double down, field scout and outlaw/grenadier. With my spears I sacrifice some rate of fire for the perk boost of starting each pvp game with 24 rounds. My second favourite is a stock longbow, which imo has the best Base stats of that class of sniper. Behind that I do enjoy the low grade humility quite a bit, but not settled on a roll I prefer for it yet. I'm thinking shortgaze, snapshot, and anything ammo related for the remaining two. For a really aggressive sniping style, like on close quarters maps for trials. I recommend checking out True Vanguard and his sniping video series for those who want to take their sniping from the basics here and on, as he goes a little deeper into it. Glad to see some sniping videos from you guys, really enjoyed this one.
SO MUCH INFORMATION!!! This helped me out so much, thank you!!! I am now able to get the three piece kills I always wanted, in trials I'm "mlg" this video told me how to get better at sniping... THANK YOU PLANET DESTINY
I'm pretty sure surplus doesn't affect starting ammo. I have an Efredeets with field scout rodeo and final round and I still spawn with 12. Double down w/ field scout does make you spawn with 24 starting tho.
After 58 PoE's I finally pulled my first her benevolence. I got so excited and it got even better because on my 2nd reroll I got short gaze, hidden hand, and unflinching. Needless to say it's a monster
Are you sure surplus does anything for spawning with more ammo in PVP? I've been trying to find the best sniper in my inventory and ammo on spawn looks like this: LDR w/ neither: 6 rounds (picks up 5 from ammo box w/ carry more special ammo) LDR w/ Surplus only: 6 rounds (but picks up 6 rounds from ammo box) Prudence II w/ Field Scout only: 12 rounds Efrideet's Spear w/ Surplus and Field Scout: 12 rounds Efrideet's Spear w/ Double Down and Field Scout: 24 rounds I'm not sure what surplus does besides possibly giving you one more round per ammo box. I think I remember you mentioning this in the podcast previously, which is why I rolled the Spear w/ Surplus and FS. Didn't seem to make a difference from Field Scout by itself.
Just fyi, if you guys have a spear from pre-how, it can still be rerolled for pre how perks at the gunsmith. Got one with scout and double down for trials.
Based off of everything said in this video, I guess I have even more reason to love my old LDR. I've been using it in PVP and it is great for me! I use the Hawkeye, and by my preference it is better than the others, though Ambush would be next in line, however it isn't on my rifle. I have Double Down, Clown Cartridge, and Field Scout. I start a game with 24 shots, and whenever clwon cartridge procs, I end up with a magazine of 8 instead of 6. I have literally gone entire Trial games without picking up Special, and never running out of ammo. All I have to say, that your ammo is important, and I'm so happy that I got this roll on my LDR!
Nope. All the scopes have different stats for Zoom level, handling, aim assist, as well as stats like reload, range, and stability. Currently, the Ambush is favored by many players due to the low zoom and high handling.
I rolled a Effrideets pre HoW with clown cartridge, field scout, and performance bonus hoping you'd say that's the best one. I also got the eagle eye, short gaze, and ambush which were the three scopes I wanted
Playing Combined Arms with the vendor LDR for a few days helped me learn to snipe because those maps are made for sniping and there's honestly no reason to rush yourself in that game mode, letting you time your shots more often. I'm still your average sniper and not used to scopes outside of Tacsys/Ambush but I've grown a liking to Ice Breaker and practicing with Eye Of Sol.
Great video...one other tip that wasn't mentioned is how to properly aim and get consistent headshots. You actually did it a lot in your video but never talked about it... Pro tip: Instead of aiming with the right thumb stick, aim with your left thumb stick. First, make sure that your reticle is inline with where their head should be and just move your feet left or right until they line up - when the reticle and head are finally lined upped, pull that trigger. Only use the right thumbstick for micro adjustments. So doing this technique serves two purposes: one, it helps with consistent headshots and two, it makes it harder for other players to hit you since you're not a stationary target. Hope this helps your subs and thanks again for your great videos. Maybe in your future sniping videos, you can provide more detail or include this tip.
I use 'The Supremacy' sniper from the first Queen's Wrath missions. Mine has Double Down, Clown Cartridge, and Field Scout, pretty much what this allows me to do is I never have to go pick up more ammo as when I die I get more ammo in reserve due to Double Down. I can also go up to an 8 round mag with Clown Cartridge. I use the Ambush scope, but due to it's set up I don't have maxed stability, but the trade off works since having a large clip and I find the scope to work really well with my sniping style.
You should look into what injection mold does. It increases handling which affects ADS speed and switching weapon speed. It also stacks with the bladedancer QuickDraw perk
This video is definitely gonna help me. Rocking Her Benevolence on my hunter with the TacSys, Clown Cartridge, soon to be acquired Hand-laid stock and Grenadier. Though I prefer the sidearm class, or at least Vestian Dynasty, on my Warlock, go to class, since I fell in love with pistols thanks to Black Ops 2. If you wanna talk about Sidearms I'd love to, note still haven't gotten Dreg's Promise sadly enough. TLDR: Vid is seemingly useful a scrub Destiny sniper like me, but I still prefer the Vestian Dynasty over other specials.
Best sniper for me : my supremacy . It has ambush scope , surplus , field scout and firefly . It has the perfect RoF/Impact since among the snipers which can one shot anyone with an overshield , it has the highest RoF . Ambush is my favorite scope , surplus and field scout allow me to have a lot of bullets so I don't have to worry about ammos during the whole game. Firefly has no real advantage but when I shoot people , they know they got headshot and have no way to deny it like "omg im sure this guy can only get bodyshots" . The satisfaction when you see them blow up justifies the perk for me . Plus sometimes you can hit another target with the explosion and bodyshot it . Supremacy is also one of the snipers with the highest aim assist which always helps even when it's not necessary . Other reasons why I like it : it's super rare . No one can get it anymore and I don't know if anyone else still uses his supremacy after the House of Wolves . It was my first legendary sniper and is still my favourite . Plus , it looks pretty nice . My tips for sniping : 1) get used to your scope . Every scope and zoom factor will mean that when you move your aim it will move at a different speed . Your timing has to be perfect if you want to get headshots so you have to train and get uzed to it . 2) predict your enemy's movements . That's including his speed and direction combined with yours , along with the distance that separates both of you , because that will have an impact on how fast he will move from your point of view . 3) be the first in place . If someone who is at least decent with a sniper is already aiming at your location , it's very likely that if you come out of cover , he will shoot you before you can even aim . Just don't taunt a sniper , that's stupid . 4) Don't use final round , it's a cheap perk for noobs who can't get headshots and who will run out of ammo in no time . Using final round makes you believe that getting bodyshots is ok , but it isn't , and once final round gets nerfed , you'll just realize you're a poor sniper .
Patrick, let's assume that Hidden Hand is additive, and not exponential, what value do you believe it added in terms of Aim Assist? I'd say it's between 15-20 based on experience after using it on every weapon class available and also considering how Bungie is so careful when it comes to weapon perks. (And yes, I saw your video on Hidden Hand)
Woah this helped so much... I never knew how much power my LDR has. The rolls on it are Clown Cartridge, Field Scout, and Final Round. I Need to level this thing up!
Got an old LDR in my Vault with unflinching, Clown Cartridge, Armor Piercing Rounds and Ambush. Should I keep this + use it, or try to get a her benevolence and reroll it?
I feel like it would be worth mentioning that snapshot allows you to check your radar and rescope very quickly which is great for maintaining situational awareness when o locking down an area. It also has great synergy with hidden hand to make those quick one off snipes that much faster in the mid/close range.
Might have been a placebo, but I feel like Hidden Hand has helped me a ton to get better at sniping. I highly recommend rolling a hidden hand benevolence with shortgaze or ambush scopes for anyone trying to get better at sniping.
I hope those infamous final rounders see this and take notes. On a side note, my Efrideets Spear has final round and rodeo (calm down, I use this with field scout and actually snipe), you said in this video that rodeo is redundant, if i choose to re-roll something more efficient, will I still get field scout and final round on it? I noticed that my Jolders Hammer can still re-roll field scout.
djab Yeah, you can. The other day, I re-rolled one of my old Efrideet's, and I got APR, Final Round, and rodeo (In other words, it's still possible to get pre-HoW perks on pre-HoW Iron Banner weapons)
Yea, I got arc damage (really wanted that), Unflinching, Field Scout and Final Round, perfect for me :) And don't worry, I wont abuse it, I'm primarily a fusion rifle person anyways.
I rerolled her benevolence with hidden hand unflinching injection mold and ambush scope. Should I use this? I always sniped well with the icebreaker, not sure if hidden hand is gonna help or make sniping harder for me..
Couple of thoughts. 1. Watching him snipe players that had just hit him with Thorn makes me happy! 2. My feeling that has developed on Snipers is that the right balance of stats really outweighs the perk roll. I think the scope choice is really more important than previously given credit and I'm glad that he focused so much on it. Therefore, aside from the exact scope choice, a given sniper that is "right" for you will always outweigh the exact perks. So with that in mind...your experience may vary...etc: - LDR may be the best Sniper in the game period, with the possible exceptions of Praedyth's and Patience & Time. P&T never seems to get talked about enough but seems to be flat out amazing in PvP. - The Y-09 Longbow is probaby my most used Sniper. The stat balance just feels right. 31 Impact and near tops in Stability and aim assist. I finally just got a couple of Her Benevolences and I'm really interested to see how it compares to Longbow. The profile is the same but with lower stats across the board. - The Low Grade Humility has a relatively low base stability but shoots much more stable than the stat would indicate.
Great video. One of the most important aspects of sniping which you didn't cover, though, is positioning. Understanding where to position yourself relative to map geometry and your teammates, understanding which sightlines need to be controlled, and understanding in general the ways your opponents are moving around the map is key to being an effective sniper. I suppose the same could be said about using any weapon type, but it is especially true of sniping.
I kept my dead orbit sniper Broken Truth and it has these same perks, surplus, field scout and final round. It's an amazing sniper and it was the first thing I ascended when the HoW came out. I'll never get rid of it. It's great in PvP and PvE mainly because it's Arc. But it's by far my favorite sniper in the game. I never see anyone with it which makes it even more awesome. I have the Violator which comes in a close second with Hidden Hand. But I'll never get rid of my Broken Truth.
Lost Requiem I still cling to an Arc-flavor Broken Truth with S&P and FR with Field Scout in the second column. Haven't ascended it yet and contemplated scrapping it, but your comment actually persuaded me to keep holding onto it.
So if I wanna role my Patience and Time in Trials (because I always use my Violator, being a control guy) will it kill a revived guardian regardless of the barrel chosen??
You forgot the perk double down. My efrideets spear has double down, field scout, and final round. I prefer to think of myself as an experienced sniper. I have six rounds in one mag so final round is kind of like insurance if I'm going on a hot streak, but when I tag field scout with double down, I spawn in with 24 sniper shots. That's right, max special ammo so I never have to worry about special ammo pickups in trials. So in my book, double down is probably the best perk you can get on snipers
Quick question. Can you roll Unflinching and Final Round? Was it ever possible if not now? To me that seems like the best roll. Obviously some recoil perk in the middle tree would be nice.
I have a 2 sinpner's one has final round and surplus and 5 rounds the other one has unflinching and clown cartridge with 4 rounds btw thw both have armor piercing and the ambush scope which one would you use?
The extra ammo from the start of a match is from the perk called "Double Down". I know I have it on my sniper, and it reads "Occasionally gain additional ammo when spawning." And it's probably a bug, but it's not "occasionally," it's ALWAYS at the start of a pvp match, which is awesome. I start with 25 sniper bullets, and most matches I never have to visit a green ammo crate.
I generally use the infamous efrideet's spear with final round, but I do use it with field scout to have more ammo. Mine has an ambush scope, but I recently switched to the shortgaze and I feel like it's easier to get headshots, specially if they are moving. Sure, the recoil is strong with it, but it's rate of fire is slow enough for me to correct for follow-up shots. My favorite sniper is patience & time, though.
I was at 7 sensitivity but lowered it to 5 after I stopped blink shotgunning and started sniping. It's a good middle ground for those who both use shotguns and snipers like me.
I'm reading low grade humility can't kill through an overshield. In this guide you indicate that that class of sniper impact can kill through an overshield. Can you clarify?
treepizzle I believe it can if you have the right scope for maximum Impact. It can reach 25 Impact which I believe is enough, not 100% certain. Added an annotation about this though.
Currently running ToO with a TDB Efrideet that has Performance Bonus, Field Scout/Perfect Balance and Final Round. It also has the Ambush scope, which is great in pretty much every situation but the Short Gaze can be nasty in PVP, especially for quick scopes. I really can't complain but I wish I had Her Benevolence to test out some of the new rolls, like Hidden Hand and Replenish. I have been playing around with a Violator XII, the new monarchy sniper, and it's pretty fun... can beat Praedyth's with the right perks.
Which of these two snipers would I be best to use:- LDR with ambush/short gaze Double down AP Mulligan Longbow with ambush/long view Clown cartridge Perfect balance/field scout Unflinching Perfect balance maxes out the stability
since hoW came out.. i've been using her benevolence more than my primary weapon.. i have a pretty good knowledge about snipers n its perks.. i find myself being able to play more aggressive and out-aim my opponent with the perk quickdraw. also unflinching definitely help when u are in the middle of a gun fight keeping ur sight more stable under-fire as the description said
Agree 100% with this. I'm one of those people who honestly can use any sniper successfully to a degree, but I feel most comfortable with my Efrideet's Spear (Performance Bonus, Perfect Balance, Final Round). I get a hell of a lot of flak for having final round, but in the 100+ games I've played with it (this includes Trials), final round has come into play maybe 15 times. I've never dumped ammo to get to the final round (I personally think that's a dumb tactic that's just a waste of ammo), and 90% of the time when I fire my final round it's a headshot (not trying to brag), nullifying the need for the extra damage.
*CORRECTION:* The extra starting ammo is entirely due to Field Scout, NOT Surplus.
I have field scout on longbow but it doesnt give 12 shots intially
PlanetDestiny Bobby Shmurda??
I'm pretty sure surplus gives you more ammo from ammo bricks
dagoxo7arius It does, but there's no ammo bricks in PvP
PlanetDestiny yes there are. When you open a box of ammo it drops the brick but you often don't see it due to you picking it up so fast.
Best new snipers in my opinion.
Shadow of Veils (Pre Rolled)
Queenbreaker Bow (Pre Rolled)
Her Benevolence (Rerollable)
Recommended rolls - Unflinching, Rodeo - Stability Barrel/AP Rounds (still somewhat useful) - Clown Cartridge, Performance Bonus.
What about Matador 64?
Sir Wallen Unflinching and rodeo are pointless.
HorizonGlitching thats a shotgun m8
He doesn't get it ^^
Dang. Holtzmann is one hell of a sniper.

"About a week ago!" At the end killed me.
What's your favorite sniper & perks?
PlanetDestiny i like the low grade humility its not strong enough to take out a shield thou
Firefly can be somewhat useful and is fun to mess around with but the aim assist perk hidden hand is very good
Praydeaths revenge
Final round lol
My spear with double down field scout and fire fly start every game with 24 rounds

Petey Feel your pain. Need more snipes!
Got two recently
Petey You and me both.
Really I have like 5 of them but I felt your pain a few months ago when after 34 hard vog runs I finally got a fatebringer!
I get hem all the time... but I'd love to have he Bones of Aeo. (Or however you spell it. xP)
One of the best videos I've seen at Planet Destiny. Thank you for sharing all the tips...
LDR is love, LDR is life.
LDR stands for long distance relationship. U are saying that long distance relationships r life? ;-)
TheHappyCrafter That's why they call it ballistic heartbreak.
Efrideets spear :)
My ldr has field scout and also final round but it has the peek that gives you precision when crouching xD (useless)
Midship End i have the exact same XD that crouching is useless
Rip... 5 yrs ago... havent had as much fun playing destiny since
Just wanted to say LOVE your work keep it up
You got me with the "Bout a week ago"
Great guide and awesome footage as always.
Thanks Man! I know you worked hard on this video. Really nice tips and tricks! :)
Also, I rolled a strange combo of perks on my Her Benevolence. Should I keep it? It has Shortgaze and Ambush, Mulligan, Speed Reload, And Surplus.
I've found that I prefer the Low Zoom (5X) scopes the most. It's just enough that I can pick off a headshot at long range, but still low enough for multiple target acquisition at mid-range.
What I can't decide is whether to focus on stability, damage or reload perks.
ABOUT A WEEK AGOOO
It's still hilarious
i have a prudence ll and it is absolutely amazing. it as a fast rate of fire, a fat reload speed, and maximum stability
What are you r thoughts on the Eye of Sol? Other than ammo issues and lack of Tacsys or Ambush I find it to be a solid sniper (Of course Praedyth shits on all other high RoF snipers, and Her Benevolence lets me OHK off revive).

Kristian Kåsamoen Ahh, the double pradeyth bodyshot. Nice to use that as a starter sniper
gavin bathagte no.. praedyths is a scout rifle -_- Besides, if you want to be a good sniper, its better to practice with a high impact sniper as you're forced to go for accurate headshots instead of spraying people down with body shots..

My Coins, Your Purse The "about a week" soundbite
PlanetDestiny Heh, alright. I was reading an article while listening to the video and all of a sudden I heard that.

The one you show in the video is THE perfect roll imo. Plenty of ammo + fast weapon switching is really good to me.

Great tips, I also may be superficial, but the large bulky rectangular scopes drive me nuts.
My favorite scope for a sniper is the shortgaze scope because short range scopes are where it's at in pvp
Surplus provides 50% more ammo from crates in crucible.
Field scout increases max capacity of bullets to 24 and the crates give you 1/4 of your max ammo.

SO MUCH INFORMATION!!! This helped me out so much, thank you!!! I am now able to get the three piece kills I always wanted, in trials I'm "mlg" this video told me how to get better at sniping... THANK YOU PLANET DESTINY
Would you prefer a low grade humility with perks shown in the video or my spear with ambush, spray and play, snap shot, and final round?
I'm pretty sure surplus doesn't affect starting ammo. I have an Efredeets with field scout rodeo and final round and I still spawn with 12. Double down w/ field scout does make you spawn with 24 starting tho.
Longbow is bae. Also, 4 sensitivity is my sweet spot. You get good precision without suffering too badly in the movement department.
After 58 PoE's I finally pulled my first her benevolence. I got so excited and it got even better because on my 2nd reroll I got short gaze, hidden hand, and unflinching. Needless to say it's a monster
Are you sure surplus does anything for spawning with more ammo in PVP?
I've been trying to find the best sniper in my inventory and ammo on spawn looks like this:
LDR w/ neither: 6 rounds (picks up 5 from ammo box w/ carry more special ammo)
LDR w/ Surplus only: 6 rounds (but picks up 6 rounds from ammo box)
Prudence II w/ Field Scout only: 12 rounds
Efrideet's Spear w/ Surplus and Field Scout: 12 rounds
Efrideet's Spear w/ Double Down and Field Scout: 24 rounds
I'm not sure what surplus does besides possibly giving you one more round per ammo box.
I think I remember you mentioning this in the podcast previously, which is why I rolled the Spear w/ Surplus and FS. Didn't seem to make a difference from Field Scout by itself.
Great video! Finally a sniping video with REAL advice and tips
Rodeo isnt for better stability, it helps pull your scope down or wherever you want it more easily after/while firing. It helps a lot actually.
This is likely a silly question: are all the ADS times the same for different scopes?
Nope. All the scopes have different stats for Zoom level, handling, aim assist, as well as stats like reload, range, and stability. Currently, the Ambush is favored by many players due to the low zoom and high handling.
I did the shhmmonneyyy dance at 14:04 lol you hip for that one 👍👍👍
I rolled a Effrideets pre HoW with clown cartridge, field scout, and performance bonus hoping you'd say that's the best one. I also got the eagle eye, short gaze, and ambush which were the three scopes I wanted
My crucible sniper is my LDR with performance bonus, ambush sight, field scout, and final round. Extremely similar to yours, and I love it.
Just followed the link to the website, looks good. Nice layout, easy to find info etc ; )
Hidden hand plus unlinching are the best perks
That last clip was awesome, dude got dunked on LOL!
Finally someone else who uses final round correctly
I use 'The Supremacy' sniper from the first Queen's Wrath missions. Mine has Double Down, Clown Cartridge, and Field Scout, pretty much what this allows me to do is I never have to go pick up more ammo as when I die I get more ammo in reserve due to Double Down. I can also go up to an 8 round mag with Clown Cartridge. I use the Ambush scope, but due to it's set up I don't have maxed stability, but the trade off works since having a large clip and I find the scope to work really well with my sniping style.
I've recently started using one of my old Efrideet's Spears to get used to playing without Aim Assist. I really like it.
4:50 what scope is needed?
My tips for sniping :
1) get used to your scope .
W3TIC3 Indeed, good point
Yea, I got arc damage (really wanted that), Unflinching, Field Scout and Final Round, perfect for me :)
And don't worry, I wont abuse it, I'm primarily a fusion rifle person anyways.
Very informative. I personally love my E.spear but you gave me something to think about.
Thanks for the video as always... For sniping I always go with my Her Benevolence with Hidden Hand and Unflinching with shortgaze scope
holtz @ 8:50 ... brooooooooooo haha nice shots!
So informative. Thanks much. I've been looking at all kinds of sniper vids, but this one was definitely the best information.
I rerolled her benevolence with hidden hand unflinching injection mold and ambush scope. Should I use this? I always sniped well with the icebreaker, not sure if hidden hand is gonna help or make sniping harder for me..
I'm guessing Queens Benevolence would be my best option seeing as how the others are all unobtainable huh?
Couple of thoughts.
1. Watching him snipe players that had just hit him with Thorn makes me happy!
2. My feeling that has developed on Snipers is that the right balance of stats really outweighs the perk roll. I think the scope choice is really more important than previously given credit and I'm glad that he focused so much on it. Therefore, aside from the exact scope choice, a given sniper that is "right" for you will always outweigh the exact perks. So with that in mind...your experience may vary...etc:
- LDR may be the best Sniper in the game period, with the possible exceptions of Praedyth's and Patience & Time.
Psychoduckify Also, LDR master race!
I clicked the like button the second the "about a week ago" song popped in. It was perfect timing
So if I re-roll my old LDR I won't be able to get field scout?
I have her benevolence with ambush scope, hidden hand, snapshot, and performance bonus should I keep it or re roll
Lol "About a week ago" had me weak
what's up with the sound at 14:04, say's about a week ago.
Broken truth is my favorite. I'm so glad I got one with a good roll.
armlock311 I have one that doesn't want to shot for me but I don't know about everybody else
Lost Requiem I still cling to an Arc-flavor Broken Truth with S&P and FR with Field Scout in the second column. Haven't ascended it yet and contemplated scrapping it, but your comment actually persuaded me to keep holding onto it.
armlock311 no the final round doesn't kill in one body shot. I tested it myself and I personally still prefer my ldr.
Lost Requiem sorry man last round on broken truth does not 1 shot bodyshot
"About a week ago!!" Lol Bobby shmurda!!
14:04 About a Week or so! Lol I see you sliding that in there lol
Quick question. Can you roll Unflinching and Final Round? Was it ever possible if not now? To me that seems like the best roll. Obviously some recoil perk in the middle tree would be nice.
I've got a LDR in my vault with Clown Cartridge, Field Scout, and Unflinching. Should I use it or go with Her Benevolence?
I have a 2 sinpner's one has final round and surplus and 5 rounds the other one has unflinching and clown cartridge with 4 rounds btw thw both have armor piercing and the ambush scope which one would you use?
Would skip round be a good perk for extra ammo?
The extra ammo from the start of a match is from the perk called "Double Down". I know I have it on my sniper, and it reads "Occasionally gain additional ammo when spawning." And it's probably a bug, but it's not "occasionally," it's ALWAYS at the start of a pvp match, which is awesome. I start with 25 sniper bullets, and most matches I never have to visit a green ammo crate.
its so funny how the 1000 yard stare looks like the LDR
Felwinter's Lie is my favorite sniper
I generally use the infamous efrideet's spear with final round, but I do use it with field scout to have more ammo. Mine has an ambush scope, but I recently switched to the shortgaze and I feel like it's easier to get headshots, specially if they are moving. Sure, the recoil is strong with it, but it's rate of fire is slow enough for me to correct for follow-up shots. My favorite sniper is patience & time, though.
7, 6 & 5 are the spot. Too high can cause slips and too low can cause slow reaction. But its all personal preference. Those are my top picks.
I was at 7 sensitivity but lowered it to 5 after I stopped blink shotgunning and started sniping. It's a good middle ground for those who both use shotguns and snipers like me.
On my her benevolence, should I use the ambush scope (reduced range) and hand laid stock, which reduces my range again?
For Christmas Bungie gave me an amazing LDR: Rodeo, Armor Piercing, and Final Round.
PlanetDestiny But there is not a single Scope that changes impact.
***** which is a beast btw
Currently running ToO with a TDB Efrideet that has Performance Bonus, Field Scout/Perfect Balance and Final Round. It also has the Ambush scope, which is great in pretty much every situation but the Short Gaze can be nasty in PVP, especially for quick scopes. I really can't complain but I wish I had Her Benevolence to test out some of the new rolls, like Hidden Hand and Replenish. I have been playing around with a Violator XII, the new monarchy sniper, and it's pretty fun... can beat Praedyth's with the right perks.
Which of these two snipers would I be best to use:-
LDR with ambush/short gaze
Double down
AP
Mulligan
Longbow with ambush/long view
Clown cartridge
Perfect balance/field scout
Unflinching
Perfect balance maxes out the stability
Longbow with field scout
since hoW came out.. i've been using her benevolence more than my primary weapon.. i have a pretty good knowledge about snipers n its perks.. i find myself being able to play more aggressive and out-aim my opponent with the perk quickdraw. also unflinching definitely help when u are in the middle of a gun fight keeping ur sight more stable under-fire as the description said
Personally, I value Snapshot more than anything! Great video!
I have the exact same LDR. Surplus, final round, the scope, field scout and even the burn is the same.
Great video and timely for me. I've been thinking about switching my shotgun for a sniper but didn't know where to begin.
Do you think my eftidicts spear with field scout, firefly, and unflinching would be ok or should I re-roll it?
