Love the blue and white dishes! That set is awesome! Try some baking soda or bar keepers friend to remove the scratches from the plates. Have used this since I helped my grandmothers in their kitchens as a child in the 60's and 70's. 😊 I love the fork and spoon! The milk glass bottle with a LID! SCORE! Most of those do not have their lids any longer. 😔 Amazing hauls. 😉

Make a paste out of cream of tartar and water. Rub it on the plate with scratches and they will come off.

So glad you got the highchair! We had one that my grandmother used as a child. Then my mom and aunt used it when they were little and then I used it when a was a little one. Then when I had 2 boys I was lucky enough to have it for them. What a great item to pass from generation to generation.
I like all whatever you bought in thrifting. And I love the white and blue 💙. I am in love with yours. Hope you find everything you need, or want, because they're great.😂

I loved that red and white dinnerware set too! If you use either of those urns, just make sure you clean them out real good in case someone’s ashes were in there! 😳⚱️

Hello, I love all your ideas. As far as GOLD AND BRASS they are EXTREMELY very Popular Colors that people are using. I personally have bought Old paintings, Pictures and other items from Thrift stores that are either Gold and Brass. If they are not quite the Gold or Brass that I want then I Spray paint the items. It looks soo classy. Have fun, look forward to seeing your projects.

I’m glad your mother is doing okay, and I hope that she recovers fully as my own mom did last year! My mother and father were diagnosed with cancer within a month apart. I couldn’t believe she was diagnosed with breast cancer the one year she skipped her mammogram (she was able to get a lumpectomy at Sinai Miami @ is taking a pill for six years that affects her bones so she’s doing *okay* too) and my father with throat spleen and tongue cancer (he just finished chemotherapy and received his “graduation certificate” for radiation) so I know how scary it can be) I’m glad your family is surrounding your parents with love and going thrifting with her definitely makes her happy and takes her mind off of things for at least a little… you’re a wonderful couple for remodeling their living room too… it’ll be ok 🤍🙏)

I have so many books that, now I’m only buying books that are copyrighted in the 1800’s and now have 4,😊 two were printed in 1838 !! They are so beautiful and the binding and paper is so unique

Let me just make a small remark. I had that high chair. Let me clarify…I used to BE IN a high chair exactly like that when I was little. When you said antique, I about fell out of my grown up chair… BAHAHAAAA for the record I am not old… regardless of the evidence presented. Deny, deny, deny.

Love love you’re items you bought. I was also surprised at the wooden spoon and fork, not being wood. What a surprise.!! I love you’re diner dishes, great price for that. Oh yes, the high chair it’s so awesome.! It’ll look sharp in the white Color. Those frames are perfect for a wall staging, « is it what it’s called » I do also agree with you that they would look amazing in black, with the gold inner out edges. It’s a perfect blend of the gold look you’re going for. I love it , can’t wait to see this transformation happen. You’re children are beautiful, so well respected of the merchandise. That blue milk glas has a scenery from a German “May-Tree” celebration.
In Germany on May 1, different Villages select each their own, Long straight pine tree, peel and decorate the peeled stem. The village men “watch the tree, so it doesn’t get “stolen” from neighboring villages. The women craft the ⭕️ from pine branches and hang garlands on it
It’s all good fun.
So May 1, the village people get together and carry
The tree to the “Dorfplatz” ( the middle of the village)
There is a designated deep hole there, for every years May-Tree.
The Tree gets hoisted upright with a lot of yelling and singing and beer drinking. Once the tree is upright and fastened by the men, kids hold hands and sing May sings and dance around the May tree.
Once that’s done, most Germans go in massive hikes and drink a lot of Hop beverages 😊

Oh we would have so much fun thrifting. We have a place in my town called The Coop (you’d have to know a secret about Oviedo,Florida for significance of the name) I got my silver set of 12 place settings there. My favorite was the dishes. What a steal.

I wanted the fork and knife set; I have only seen them in wood. Your daughter was too funny playing on the old phone.
I liked everything you purchased! My favorite is the 12pcs setting I have a set in my China cabinet similar to yours. I love blue and I really like the cold bolt blue and mine are that color.. I also like the handheld mixing utensil I can’t think of what’s called for the life of me, I have one of those as well. I love antiques and I many in my home and I have some in storage. We have a over a hundred year old stereo and China cabinet that are in real good shape and the stereo still works and the radio part of it still works. It’s Amazing to listen to our old records when I was young I use too get every weekend.. I really liked the Spoon and Fork those were beautiful... You were talking about your friend paintings I have an old Snow and cabin home 25:44 scenery on an old saw blade they used back in the day to saw wood into. It’s beautiful my Daddy painted it and he’s done many more on saw blades you use in a table saw those are very pretty, he has old milk churns painted on them like it’s sitting on the front porch of a cabin very pretty!!! I can’t wait to see both places finished you guys do Amazing work...

I used to have such a lot of brass pieces, large and small and I think they look beautiful placed around a home. You got such awesome items. I saw so much that I would have purchased too. I don’t have a great deal of control when I go shopping in thrift or antique stores, well I never used to anyway. Now I can’t afford to get much. I have not tried either of these tips yet, but someone told me that Magic Erasers will take off the marks on the plates. They also recommended Bar Keeper's Friend. Hope one or both help you. The dishes were a great find...I, too, love blue and white dishes. Great to see you back!

Love the dishes. Blue and white is what I am collecting for my kitchen with pops of yellow. Love thrifting but have ran out of storage space to keep things while we search for a new home.

I found a high chair just like that one . I painted it black and highlighted with gold. I painted a little chick coming out a cracked egg on the back. It was so adorable. Youll love that chair for your new baby.❤

Use some “Bar Keepers Friend “ on those scratched plates and they will look like new.❤️
Very good video. You can buy dish polish that will get those scratches out of your dishes no problem.
The brass and glass lantern is hand blown glass and that imperfection probably happened when making it.
Barkeepers friend will removed the aluminum scratches on the dishes

Try magic erasers on your scratched plates. I was able to remove marks from mine in the past!
I am a blue and white gal, myself and I love baskets. All of your funds are fabulous!
I found a fork knife and a spoon at Walmart last year I bought them and I painted black then I put a tin tile wallpaper over them and when I was done I did a light coat of white to bring out the texture of the paper

We lived in Peachtree City for 25 yrs, moved to FL 2 yrs ago to be near ocean. Thrifting is so fun, never know what u can find. You r just the sweetest young woman & beautiful family. Will keep ur dear Mom in prayer also. By the way, next time chk out, "Clothes less Traveled", on hwy 74, they have everything. It's our church, Holy Trinity store, they give so much money back to community. I used to volunteer there too.

Bar keepers friend will clean those scuffs right up. WARNING! Wear gloves that stuff made my fingertips split. But it worked and I learned a very valuable lesson!

I enjoyed watching and listening as I was crafting. I once heard a lady say "Why do we save our fine china for special guests? Our families are the most important people in our lives." after that, I started using my fine china for everyday use, my son who is now fifty-one says he once went to a friends house and they had that same china pattern in a hutch and Jonny says, " that's what we grew up eating on" They were surprised. I still have that china, it's a little worn but my kids have good memories of it. God is so good! Have a blessed day!
