Thanks for watching, it's the bloody lens of the camera. I did 5 takes of the video and it kept getting worse, already looking for another one for future episodes.
Great walk through, can you do this with a mercenary campaign for the building of the company and then the first few missions? Thanks for the videos I really enjoy watching and listening. Semper Fi!... Skol
My issue has always been rulers with open terrain. I much prefer the method, but rulers always seem to get in the way. I wonder if there would be a market for a small, laser-pointer sized range finder. I guess the only issue is that it may not be able to be used for movement :/ Or maybe a 'smart' board that recognizes mass and calculates the distances from all the masses, then displays it between the units. That would be neat.
I've never had a problem with using tape measures or rulers for miniature games. But I can see how individuals who never dealt with them before can have problems in the beginning. I've always wondered when someone will design a electronic game mat that recognizes all the miniatures on the board through sensors. Then the data is transferred to something like a iPad or computer for firing solutions etc.
Say I'm at the edge of the river and I want to move just one inch and step into it. Would it cost +1 for moving an inch, +1 for stepping down a level, and +1 for stepping into water? So 3 movement points altogether?
19:55 Does the Commando add +1 modifier to fire at Vindicator? Or does the Vindicator add +1 modifier to fire at Commando? Or do both get a +1 modifier for firing to and from partial cover? I've been reading my rulebook but can't figure this one out. Thanks
Yes it would go both way if they're both shooting at each other and getting a +1 modifier for the partial cover. We are using more miniature rules verse board game rules for side partial cover. They only have partial cover for legs in the board game rules in the book, its a 2D vs 3D gaming aspect of the game
do you ever change the game scale? we would play 1"=15m (2x range and double mv pts). I also did a few battles of 1"=10m (3x range and triple mv pts). it really makes good use of the 4'x8' game table.
We've done the x2 and x3 scales before, its easier for the newer players to grasp playing as a miniatures game at 1:1 scale. you can keep the weapons scale at 1:1 and movement x3 to help close on a larger table if needed.
Not sure what's wrong with the sound this time, there's this irritating ticking sound.
Great explanation mate, I loved watching this.

Now I understand the game more Rusty, thanks, I wouldn't mind giving this a go!..Bill
Thanks Bill, it's a fairly easy game system to learn and ones complex as you want it to be with the addition of advanced rules.
Great run over mate
Thanks Nick

We are planning on starting a new campaign in January and hopefully we can start some videos doing it.
@@Helcarexe26 thanks again for reminding me about this video, I have a brain injury from my time in the Marines and can't remember things very well
Great video and explanation, my man!

Yes that sounds right to me and making a pilot check for entering water also
