Whoever thought when you first started racing the s10 that it would be knocking the door in the 4s? Great job guys! I'll be glad when you get the Nova and the S10 back going 😁👍
I am very impressed with the transformation of the Dart. Tommy, Allison and Jeff are going to have another sweet race car/drag&drive car when this is all done..
Both of you were on a rip that pass... Obviously those wastegates were hurting you before because that was a pretty noticeable difference... Between that and the converter the S10 became a monster again , can't wait till she's back good again.. I could tell Billy was happy and excited with how the S10 was running again sucks that happened but at least she made you some money this year before she popped
Beautiful display of pushing a powerplant to it's absolute max. These are the steps we have to take to become masters of a craft. I can't wait to see what's next for the S10!

Can't wait for the NPK videos to start popping up! As Joey said when you crashed the Nova, you'll now have more content to film building another motor for the S-10. Now that you got the suspension tuned and the converter sorted, the S10 will be stupid fast with a solid rotating assembly. The stuff that you guys have accomplished with old school parts is nothing short of spectacular.
BILLY The problem with people who have all these great ideas. Great ideas don't cost them anything. It your wallet that pays for repairs. And hind sight is always 20/20
We used to tear stuff out on lifted trucks with blocks in the back. A reversed setup but causing the same issues. We angle milled a steel block and welded it to the rear mount pad. A much better fix than running a shim deal. Adding fatter Ubolts also help them stay tight with less stretch. When that rearend "walks" with big tall tires the Ubolts stretch everytime.

All props go to Jeff. I know he has his daughters safety in mind regardless of a racing schedule. As the saying goes serve no wine before it's time. Billy the kid trying to get all the knowledge of the opponent before the race. Malibu against the Dart. Should be the truck! Still helping Billy with all his problems though. Will see how this family saga plays out. Friendly competition. We will see. Billy didn't make it to the end of the video. Poor baby.

If any holes aren’t damaged upon disassembly, it would be worth looking at the tops of the pistons, ring-lands, ring-buts, and spark-plugs.....I know you were pushing it really hard and it saw more load than normal due to all the traction and new convertor, so I’d look for signs of detonation / pre-ignition.....people will say it can’t happen on methanol, but it can.....idk how your timing ramps look but if it popped after full boost and timing were already all in it could be detonation / preignition related, if it’s the latter where boost and timing were still climbing then it’s more likely a rod load capacity issue, given boosted engines usually don’t fail rods in tension fatigue (unless it’s the rod bolts)......safe timing is hard to determine on methanol without tuning on an engine dyno, because MBT can be reached / exceeded without detonation under the right conditions and that will fold rods without warning, and MBT moves to a lower and lower numbers as boost is increased (usually non-linearly) due to back pressure going and charge temp going way up when your really pushing your setup.......I’m not insinuating that you don’t know / understand what I typed, I’m just advocating it would be good to 100% know the root cause, to ensure the new engine isn’t at risk once the S10 is back together again, if the issue was tune-up related in any way / shape / form.

Hey folks, the new camera looks spectacular! Sucks the S10 motor blew but you learn with each failure. It is really starting to look like your at the point where a spare engine, ready to go might be worth considering. Here's an idea...Tommy's engine for his S-10 goes to Billy's S-10 again and Tommy's truck gets a an LS. The LS is less expensive an the Old Man would loose his mind! Keep it up, great stuff from you folks as always!
Die hard s10 it is Dam billy you really pushed its to its limits....jeff at work and chipin in for SRC nice work on those blocks.....the nova is waiting....🙂👍🙏
Billy your a great tunner don't let anyone change how you do things or what tune up you think will get the number you might have saved yourself a bunch of time and money or atleast that engine
@Street Racing Channel I did this Two Friday's ago in my s10 (the TON OF BRICKS)was trying to get into the 9's 1/4 went 10.05 the week before on 24 lbs ...So I put 28lbs in it and it lifted a ringland on #6 and kicked the rod out threw the pan... Jeff is thinking it's all sketchy! The Dart needs a really good 800 dp tuned right to carry all the extra weight on it! But it can run sum 10.50s or more on gas & methanol! Im loving seeing people in sweaters!
Damn I hate that you blew that motor just when you got the waste gate fixed but like you said the next motor will be even better tuff brake buddy. Your friend from Louisiana Rick 427

Here's an idea...Tommy's engine for his S-10 goes to Billy's S-10 again and Tommy's truck gets a an LS. The LS is less expensive an the Old Man would loose his mind!
Keep it up, great stuff from you folks as always!
He was already building a spare engine for the S10. He just has to put it together
Die hard s10 it is Dam billy you really pushed its to its limits....jeff at work and chipin in for SRC nice work on those blocks.....the nova is waiting....🙂👍🙏
What a way to take that engine out... it was working!! What was the carnage? What block was that and what block are you going to use next??
Nice work finding the issues. But...... Thats mighty rich when spooling up.
I like you have a spare ... Truck and went 4 rounds saturday !! party on Dude!!!
Jeff is thinking it's all sketchy! The Dart needs a really good 800 dp tuned right to carry all the extra weight on it! But it can run sum 10.50s or more on gas & methanol! Im loving seeing people in sweaters!
That engine performed great. If it was me I would build another one just the same. Keep on keeping on.
Second time I have cried watching a film. First was Old Yeller....... now this.
145 in that s10 sweet Jesus! First rip that’s awesome!!
Drag way 42 is my home track. Did a lot of racing there before I moved 20 mins from galot in North Carolina. I have been down the track at 42 yet
Damn I hate that you blew that motor just when you got the waste gate fixed but like you said the next motor will be even better tuff brake buddy. Your friend from Louisiana Rick 427
Damn good mind set Billy you Tommy are damn good racers things happen for reason bigger better and stronger
I can’t wait to see what’s next for the ol truck and am super excited to see the nova back at it again
Jeff’s the man
That guy has a lot of knowledge, skill, and a commitment to excellence that very few have. His work on the dart has been amazing
Nice power wheelie in the S10
That Dart looks good ..Good luck Billy with the s-10..hopefully you'll be winning in no time..speaking s-10's I have a factory 4 cylinder...I'm thinking of a future of a 2JZ swap..gonna be fun.
